Hi Mary B.! It sounds like you had a wonderful time and made a lifelong memory for your DD this weekend. You've done so great already that I'm sure you've already jumped back on the weight loss wagon! In N.E. Ohio we didn't get quite as much rain as you did, but we still had more than our share, including some flooding. I wish we could send some to Arizona or somewhere it's needed.
Sharon - yes, consider it a promise. It's important for me to do the training, but I won't be the first one up on him sinced I'm so heavy. I'll put a nice light (and younger, less breakable) person up first to start him. I don't just hand my boys out and let anyone and everyone ride them with my back turned, but I do love them, and I love to share them with people. The look on someone's face when they get aboard a great horse is a special reward! And one of the many great things about friesians is that they aren't little sissy horses. You don't have to be a skinny-minny to feel comfortable. HI AMMI! Glad to hear Lori is doing good! I was trying to buy postcards just this morning to send to her kids, but they wouldn't ring up on the scanner, and the clerk never did figure it out. - LOL, I was worried that you didn't have Batman over there. I STILL forget sometimes how small this little planet has become! ** As far as seeing your counselor, I would think it's not an all-or-nothing deal. Visits could become less frequent, or even if you do stop going, it doesn't mean you couldn't ever go back if you felt the need now & then. I would think that a commited counselor would only feel success if he/she helped you reach a point where you felt ready to move on without him/her. I ate in the restaurant with DH this morning. Just had 2 eggs, nothing else, so I'm OP already! Now Simon is being insistant that he needs attention. |
Hi everyone I have just a little time to catch up I just found out that I will have a job for the summer , and I will be starting today so I will miss my weight watchers meeting today so for this week keep me the same 225 and I will hope that I will make my meeting next week I will be going to a meeting with my daughter , on Thursday but I hate to switch for weighting in, in the morning to night but for the summer I just might have to! I went yesterday and got my hair cut this is the first time in over 1 year that I got mine cut last year I cut off a little over 12" so that it was just under my shoulder now this year I cut it to my shoulder it really takes some getting use to I have not had my hair this short in 18 years but I thought it was time for a change .

what a bummer ... my scales just wont hit that 299 mark! no gain though. i will try again on friday. i am off now to do do my treadmill!

Crock -- I think my weight loss is slowing down. It's harder to maintain a deficit (I am NOT a 1200 calorie/day girl -- more like 1800 right now), but I'm loving my new lifestyle.
We can't wait to see you on the exercise thread!!! Kayley -- I had no idea you were eating so little. Makes me worry, you know? I hope you can transition to something you can do for life, because I so want you to succeed! Eating so little makes it hard to get in all your nutrients and gives you nowhere to go if you plateau. But that's just the mother hen in me clucking... I'd say go to Metieval Times and have fun. You know it's a special occasion, and I bet you can indulge just a little and not slow your weight loss. Valerie -- You are so right about a CAN DO attitude being an important part of this. When I start to get down on myself for what I can't do and can't have, I try to reframe it, just like you have with the broccoli salad!!! As for Onederland, I AM excited (and a little scared). I think it's possible it will take a few weeks as the scale (:devil: beast) has slowed to a crawl. Hubby is ALSO at 202 and can't wait to see the 1's. There could be some beaming people around here soon. BTW, between us, hubby and I have lost around 150 pounds!! Holy smokes!! |

You are very right about the counsellor, are you sure you weren't one in another life :D The advice you give to people is amazing, and I read all your posts, even to the others because they are just so great :hug: Good for you for starting your day off right, staying OP with your two eggs for breakfast. Ok is it a myth or is it true that eating too many eggs causes constipation :lol: If it's true I figure a lot of SB followers are quite bunged up these days :D Mary - congrats on the summer job, I hope it is something you will enjoy doing and that won't have anything to do with yummy food :lol: Wow you certainly went for a change with your hair when you got so much cut off before didn't you. I bet you are finding it a lot easier to handle even if you aren't quite used to having it as short as it is now. Patti - OH NO, you know what the problem is don't you? I only threatened the fairy fat fairy if she didn't show a loss on Misti's scales. I didn't threaten her on your behalf. OK well consider her threatened, and if you don't see a loss by your official WI then she is going to lose that wand of hers :D Seriously I know how disappointed you must be feeling, I know I would have been exactly the same if I didn't get into the 200s when I was so close :hug: You are doing all the right things, so that stupid lb has to come off sooner rather than later. Are you weighing your food still, if not, then maybe you could do that for a while just to make sure you aren't over estimating anything. Ammi thanks for the threatening thefat fairy! i think what the problem is is i need a good BM lol. gonna eat my veggies today for sure. i think maybe i was drinking too many diet cokes this week too so i will be drinking my water again. i am sure by my OFFICIAL weigh day i will be in the twos or else!!!

Hey Ladies - Not a great start to my day...stepped on the scale only to see -0.5 :( NOT what I wanted. But, I've been OP all week - I stayed under 14,000 cals this week, SO, I think it's either my TOM, or all the water I drank last night that hasn't all come out of me yet - I had 3 bottles of water no more than 4 hours ago, so....(drank them all no more than 30 mins before bed, and only slept barely 3 hours) So maybe I will weigh-in tomorrow morning, when things are more "normal"....not trying to make excuses or make myself have an unfair loss, I just don't see how it's accurate right now. But, I'm off to catch th ferry in a few minutes, so have a good one ladies - stay OP!! I'll let you know how the next weigh-in goes. (Maybe it will ease my mind, so I don't keep telling myself I did something wrong...)

I think you are right about the cola being the cuprit, that and of course needing a BM. I bet you are going to weigh immediately after you have been to the loo (toilet) :lol: Melissa - 0.5 loss is still a loss, and you know what a loss is? It's better than a gain :D I know you are disappointed with it though, so I hope the next time you get on the scales you see some more weight gone! Hey ladies...
It has been a while. I haven't really had a chance to sit in front of the computer for long periods of time. My update... I ahve started my long journey to lose my weight. It has been raining cats and dogs here for the past week, so I haven't really been exercising. ' I am counting calories and writing stuff down. So far so good, I haven't had the urge to binge yet. Although, I probably could always go for some sort of junk!!! lol :) I am concentrating on eating first, and once the july come getting my big ol' butt moving. I am going to join the july exercise goals!!! YEY!!!! |

Don't know if anyone has missed me...but I'm here and alive! June is just a WILD month for us and I've been so busy that I have barely had a chance to get here. I'm at least five threads behind again! After vacation we have a week to get ready for the renaissance festival that my husband and I are on the committee for. It's a huge promotion for the local library. This year is was truely HUGE - the official estimate is 6,500 patrons - in 6 hours! It's a busy, busy, tiring, wonderful day! I love doing this festival...I just wish I had more time before it every year! Weight is bad. Up 7 lbs over June. Between the fattening camping and festival food and the lack of food in the house, leading me to eating out darn near every day, it's been bad. But I'm about to get back on track here! Glad to see some old faces have returned! Hope to see you all more and more. Wish I had time for individual replies, but you weren't talking to me anyway, since I wasn't here! :lol: I'll try harder in future! Right now, must run... really just popping in to say HI! :wave: |
Ammi would i do that? i am trying to be very good and wait til tomorrow morning to weigh again. plus i am moving around alot today mopping and vacuuming and gonna eat cabbage for supper. that should fix my little problem.i know i heard that nurse start to say 299 on friday and i am determined i will see that number on my scales this week!
