300+ And Ready to Try Again...#932

WELCOME !!!

We are a group of individuals who weigh or have weighed 300+, or near there. This group was formed to provide a place for others like us to find support and hope. We are aware of the distinct problems that come with weighing over 300 lbs.

We want to invite everyone to join us in our journey.
We share laughter and tears.
We share what works for us and what doesn't.
We often use a "Topic of the Day" for discussion.

Motivational Monday
Tuesday Tips
Wednesday Wish List .. and What you are doing to obtain it.
Thankful Thursday
FUN Friday ... don't wait until you lose your weight.
Sit-up Saturdays - any physical activity
Share your Success Sunday

These are not required topics ...just ideas to share. We often find them very helpful. We also share heartaches and fears ... joys and celebrations.

We have several extra threads going on simutaneously such as Monthly Challenges, Weekly Weigh-ins, Recipes, Bios, and more. Please feel free to check them all out.

We have found this thread to be more than just a support group...
we have found it to become a home. We invite you to join us.

WELCOME!

I know you'll all agree that we are really thankful for the free services here at 3FC. The sisters offer all of this support and information with no charges to us. There are a couple of ways though that we can help out.

If you are thinking about buying anything at Amazon, why not help out 3FC at the same time? You can do this by clicking on the button for Amazon on any page in the forum, or by clicking on the button on the main 3FC page at www.3fatchicks.com . A portion of your purchase price will be given to 3FC by Amazon. It doesn't increase your price at all, but it does help out 3FC. You can use any of the Amazon.com links that you see on the site in order to help contribute to the site.

Also, BTW, in case you didn't know it, you can view the message boards "ad free" for a minimal charge. I think it's like $15 for 6 months. A very small investment to be rid of the annoying ads and make your pages load quicker.

There have been some concerns expressed by the powers that be about copyright infringement. So please, if you are directly quoting someone else or printing an article in whole or in part, please give credit where credit is due!!

Kayley - Congrats on the new job!

I am very happy to report that today I weighed in at 301. That still means I am only down 1 pound in 2 weeks, but having been 307 only a few days ago I'm fine with that. I think I may still be retaining some water, but nothing like I was.

voodoo1 06-15-2006 07:48 AM

Nothing much to report really, still not OP, tummy still not 'right' (lots of wind :o and running to the loo!) feeling down, blah blah. no more moaning!!!
Glad that Violet is ok,  Kayley send her big hugs from me xxxxx BRILL on getting that job, it sounded the best one anyway!!!!! :carrot:
I have to go & tidy up as bro-in-law is babysitting on Friday, we're out for Steve's birthday (on Sunday)and I don't want him thinking we're pigs!!!!! When Steve's on nights it's so hard to tidy up as the house is open plan and any noise travels upstairs, luckily we have a separate dining room! Well I hope you are all keeping well and happy:hug:

Hi All,

Wow it didn't take long for me to fall a whole thread behind. I was busy yesterday and then spent time catching up on emails so didn't get chance to post here. Today I feel like I am coming down with a cold. I went back to bed this morning for the first time in just over 7 weeks. It was weird to do, but nice to realise I only did it because of not feeling well. I took some tablets and am not feeling quite so bad now, so am finally here able to catch up on some posts.

Annie - your visitors arrive today, I hope you got all your cleaning done in plenty of time :D Enjoy their stay, and I look forward to hearing all about it, and your birthday next time you have the chance to post/write. Happy Birthday for Saturday :hb: :gift: :hat: :woo: :balloons: :val1:

Crock - I am really sorry to hear that you are so unwell with bronchitis. That's bad enough for your average person, but on top of asthma, you must be feeling terrible. I am guessing you aren't able to smoke much right about now, so this may be the perfect time to try to give up  You are making yourself fit and healthy through doing such a great job of losing weight, if you could give up the smokes too you really would be doing yourself the biggest favour!

Good luck for the 22nd when you see yet another specialist about your knee. A diagnosis and hopefully something to sort it out would be fantastic and worth every penny you have to pay for it, so :crossed:

Ingrid - hi  I could be totally wrong, and I am certainly no expert, but I wonder if subconciously your mind is saying something like 'well you lost all that weight before, and just put it on, so what's the point of doing it again'. That could be why you are hungry all the time, it's like sabotage so that you don't risk losing the weight again only to hate yourself for putting it back on? I am sorry that you are feeling hungry all the time and I wish I could offer some good advice. If I am feeling hungry, especially at the start of a diet I just make sure I eat lots of zero point veges, and sugar free, also zero point jelly (jello). I am doing the WW diet and it is the best for me. In diets of old when I would eat things like a tiny breakfast, lunch and evening meal with no snacks etc I wouldn't last a week, not even the day sometimes. Then I discovered WW and realised I could eat a LOT of the right stuff, and still lose weight. Good luck with the willpower you need to hang in there through this really tough time!! Patti had a great suggestion too, keeping busy. It's one of the reasons I love 3FC so much. While I am typing here and getting constant reminders of dieting and how great people are doing etc, it keeps me from thinking of or wanting food!

Patti - I am glad that you didn't see any gain after your hubby was home for the long weekend. You obviously made some good food choices even if you didn't realise it. By the next time you officially weigh you will have had a good week of WW and I am sure you will see a good loss, perhaps even getting you into Twotown, what a thrill that would be, both breaking the plateau AND being in the 200s :crossed:

Sassy - how are you doing?

SueMarie - glad to hear you are feeling a bit better, but sorry you have such a sore nose. Do you have those special tissues over there that are enriched with aloe vera? They are wonderful for stopping the sore nose of colds. I won't use any other tissue now when I have a cold :D Oh and I think you were wrong about not being able to catch colds from your post  because I think I am well on the way to having one myself :D

Elaine - thanks for the congrats on my 3 lbs lost, yep just 1 more little lb and I am away from the 300s FOREVER! I see that you are just 3 little lbs away from being 299 yourself, it's pretty exciting isn't it!! I hope we will make it to Twotown together :cb:

Melissa - well done on all the swimming you have been able to do, and that's great that your fiance is going along to your water aerobics class too. It must make all the difference having him there supporting you. I am sure you will see a good loss on the scales, but don't forget that muscle weighs more than fat and you are undoubtedly building some muscle up with all that swimming. So if you ever see a smaller loss than you hope for, remember the fat loss will still be great, you just might not see the numbers due to muscle build up!

Gonnabefit - Hello and :wel3fc: sorry that you are suffering with heel spurs. Could you go swimming, that is good exercise without putting any strain on your heels?

I hear you on how you feel about having to watch every morsel you eat where others around you can eat so much more and not gain any weight. My hubby can eat lots of treats while I watch him and stick to my 'good' food, and although he doesn't necessarily gain weight and I do see a loss myself, it just amazes me that he stays the same. Also when he really puts effort into dieting the weight falls off him. Within a week he is tightening his belt buckle. I am kind of glad he isn't dieting right now, it's giving me time to catch up to him with what he weighs. It's horrible knowing you weigh more than your husband especially when he is over 6 foot and you are only 5 foot 6

Anyway, stay strong, the weight will come off!

Misti - glad to hear you managed to do a bit of walking and are going to an aqau aerobics class too. Sounds like your knee is definitely on the mend.

3 lbs lost this week, that is fantastic, :cheer: :bravo: :cheer:

Oh yes I am teetering on the edge of Twotown now, and can't wait to fall over that cliff :cheer:

Sharon - I know you aren't feeling great and that you probably hate that you aren't fully OP. But try to keep positive, the pill will start working for you hopefully without making you feel as moody as you were when you really were pregnant, and when you get to grips with the SB diet I bet those lbs will come flying off again. And if you do need to take anti depressants for a while, provided you get a good one that suits you, it isn't that bad a thing. If your moods improve and you start feeling great again then dieting will be so much easier, I know, I am proof of that :D

Nancy - you are so spot on with what you said about taking years to build up our eating habits and love for certain foods. Just because we realise we need to lose weight doesn't mean that love of food is going to go. We just need to learn to reign it in. I think sometimes we can be way too hard on ourselves, and we need to learn to stop it.

OOOH well done on losing some more weight and being just 2 little lbs away from being in the 200s :cheer: :cb: There are so many of us so close to Twotown now, I think we should have a cyber party when we all get there :D

Hpnotq - how is your husband today? I hope that whatever is wrong that he won't need to stay in hospital and that with your TLC and some meds he will soon be feeling better.

Redhotmamma - :welcome: of course you can join us here, the more the merrier. I think we have all been in the same boat as you, getting on the scales and seeing ourselves at a horrid weight higher than ever before, and it has spurred us on to wanting to lose weight, and coming here for support. My heaviest weight always used to be 301 lbs, so when I got on the scales last summer and saw that I was 329 I couldn't believe how much I had gained. I dieted for a couple of months, and got to 307 lbs, but then I gave up again and put it all back on. This time I have a new outlook on everything, including the determination to lose the weight again and this time KEEP IT OFF. I am now 300 lbs and am going to keep seeing those numbers go down. I am sure you will do the same, we are all here for you to support and encourage you!

Sue - good on you for being able to give up smoking all those years ago and reaping the rewards of not being hospitalised with your asthma since then!

Kayely - congratulations on getting the newspaper job, I hope you will be really happy there!!

Thanks for letting us know that you spoke to Amy and that she is ok. Please pass on my best to her and that I hope the move goes well. Also that I look forward to when she can post here again.

As for MY SPACE, don't talk to me about them  I have a friend who uses it and she has photos and music on there that to access I need to be a My Space user too. I have tried and tried to register and keep getting the message that there was an error processing my request and to try again later. Well try and try and try again later, and I still can't register. I even wrote to them about it and they said clear my cookies and temp internet files. I did that, but still no joy. So I give up, My Space will never be MINE

Jniniffer - brilliant news on the weight loss and inches lost in just 6 weeks :cheer: You are definitley doing something right and you should be so proud of yourself. Keep up the excellent results :D

Valerie - only 500 posts behind  come on you can catch up and do individual replies surely  NOT :D

Glad to see you posting and I am so glad to hear that a couple of the financial issues you had with your hubby have been sorted out and that prospects look far more promising. You must be very relieved

Well I am sneezing a lot now, so even as I type this cold is taking hold. Think I might get hubby to make me a herbal tea and then I might try to get some more sleep :D Take care all and have a great day.

Hugs,

Ammi :grouphug:

redhotmama 06-15-2006 10:58 AM

So..since I am newbie, where do I start? What has worked for you all? I am thinking of going the old-fashioned way of counting calories and exercising.

How many calories do you eat a day?

How the heck am I going to start exercising? I am thinking just walking and building myself up. How did you start?

redhotmama 06-15-2006 11:01 AM

Thanks for the welcomes!!!

Patti - you never know, you might be really surprised at your weight loss even though you aren't able to exercise too much. Remember muscle weighs more than fat!!

Redhotmama - I don't follow calorie counting, but on the WW diet I have 30 points. Exercise, well I am not doing any regimented stuff yet, but I am walking a lot more than I used to and as housework makes me sweat I consider that as exercise too. It IS hard to exercise at our size, but next month if I can manage to buy one, I want a Gazelle Rider for my birthday. That will be my first proper exercise in ages, and it's low impact too. Should be great.

Hugs,

Ammi :grouphug:

toofatforu 06-15-2006 11:59 AM

what a day . vinyl sidng people got my sateliite dish out of whack... grrr ! cant wait for my routine again. in the meantime this little break so far has seemed to help my foot and leg. we shall see how it goes when life gets back to normal!

toofatforu 06-15-2006 12:01 PM

redhotmama.. i would go for WW Points like AMMI she is doing terrific on it and it seems to be easier than counting calories. i just started to go by it myself on tuesday.

AmmiUK 06-15-2006 12:07 PM

Patti - have you ever thought of getting a Gazelle Rider, or an eliptical trainer? They both are good ways to exercise and yet are so low impact, I can't see either of them hurting your foot.

Hugs,

Ammi :dizzy:

Hpnotq 06-15-2006 12:27 PM

Ammi-My hubby wasn't in the hospital. Did I say he was? My mistake if I did. He's having jaw pain (and has been for several weeks now) and on top of that he's got an infection in his throat that's got him on antibiotics. He's a mess right now lol.

It's been a crazy week with our boss outta town. There are only 3 of us to run the store and that means alot of overtime. WOOHOO but at the same time woah! Keeping my busy all the time lol. Hope everyone's doing well. And of course congrats to everyone who has posted losses ;)

Heather 06-15-2006 12:27 PM

redhotmama -- I do calorie counting and exercise. I started last summer -- slowly. Just portion control and more moving. After about a month I started writing down everything I ate and that led to calorie counting (writing things down is a BIG eye-opener!).

When I started calorie counting I weighed 280+ and started with 2000 calories. I picked that number kind of at random but it was a great starting place. I had plenty to eat and lost weight -- when I started it was around 2 pounds/week. Now I keep it a little over 1800 calories/day on average -- and a lot more exercise.

As I went along I started paying more attention to nutrition -- a lot from info I learned here.

As for exercise, I started slow and have been building -- now doing cardio and strength training. I urge you (and everyone! Ammi too! :) ) to join us on the 300+ exercise thread. We set a goal of minutes to exercise a month (start with something reasonable for you) and then track our progress. We also keep track of the group's exercise. We're nearing 6000 minutes for the month (100 hours) and are working on our year goal of 100,000 minutes -- we're over halfway there.

There are tons of other good resources here at 3fc, like the exercise and calorie counting forums... check them out too!

StephanieAZ82 06-15-2006 12:48 PM

Hello ladies!

I am new here. This looks like a wonderful support group and I am excited to be a part of it and get started. :) I've always had problems with weight. I am now up to 338 lbs., which is not an all-time high, but close enough. I have recently gone through a pretty big lifestyle change, so I have lost some weight (probably close to 10 lbs.) but I wasn't tracking it.

I am going to start attending WW meetings with my grandpa on Wednesday nights and will be using WATP tapes for exercise to start. WW is the only method of weight loss that I have been successful with in the past (losing 40 lbs. before my wedding in 2002).

Anyway, like I said, I am excited to get started and hopefully make some new friends!

toofatforu 06-15-2006 01:08 PM

AMMI i am kinda looking at the elipticals but i always see a weight limit on the ones i think i can afford!i havent looked at the gazelle riders yet but will do so now.

Vilandra485 06-15-2006 01:17 PM

redhotmama - Calorie counting with some light exercise has work great for me so far! I'm 4 weeks in with 10 pounds down! :) My plan is: 2000 calories of day of good foods (no junk), and swimming about 3x a week. If you have a way of getting to a pool I think swimming would be a great exercise to ease you into your new lifestyle. Calorie counting is the thing that's help me lose *something* every week - I highly reccommend it! :) Maybe start with some light walking/swimming, etc with 2000 cal a day...see how that affects you in a week or 2, then tweak as needed. :) Good luck! Feel free to message me if you need anything.

idril_telrunya 06-15-2006 01:51 PM

Hi everyone!!! I am back! I got back on Monday but have been busy going back to work and doing laundry. Blech. Washington was BEAUTIFUL! We only had 2 or 3 days of rain which surprised me...pleasantly. Heh. We went to Seattle of couple of days and I got the rental car towed. D'oh! :censored: I felt like an idiot. Apparently none of us could read the HUGE sign that said you would towed for parking there between 3-6pm. *facepalm* Oh well we got the car back after a 10 dollar taxi and 180 dollars in tickets LATER!
The wedding was beautiful! Went off without a hitch. I was busy ALL week and her mother, bless her heart, is such a skatterbrain that I ended up picking up the pieces...such is the job of the maid of honor. However it did get annoying after a while. I really wanted to just go CHERYL! HELP ME OUT HERE OK!? QUIT BEING LOOPY AND FOCUS! In the end it ended up beautiful and Chamar was gorgeous and I was looking pretty hot myself. Heh. Although I don't have any pictures of me in my dress. Oops. :/ Well there are pictures of me in it, I just don't have any right now. After the photographer sends them to Chamar, I will post them.
I was pretty much OP all week too. Her parents were so sweet and made sure I had the food I needed and would ask me if they could have certain things for dinner or if it would make me want to eat it too. I wasn't perfect, but considering I didn't gain anything and actually of this morning I have lost 2 pounds (I didn't weight while I was gone) I figure I did pretty well. We did go to Ivers and I had to get clam chowder and fish and chips...however I couldn't finish all of the fish and chips. That might have to do with the fact that I was hungover though. ;) All in all it was a good week. I just now need a vacation from my vacation! Ha!
I missed all you guys! I did think about everyone and hoped everyone was staying op. From what I read it seems as if everyone is! WHOOPEE!! It was this forum that helped me choose the right foods to eat while I was gone, so thanks! You gals rock.
Well, I am off. The house is out of OP food and its driving me nuts.

MsCrockett 06-15-2006 01:52 PM

kayleystar 06-15-2006 03:34 PM

Mom went golfing this morning, so I went along, and walked the course with her...definately a good hour of walking all said and done! Then, we went out to lunch. I'm going over to Andrew's house tonight, and get on the recumbant bike, and do some weights. If I can do another 60 mins on the bike, and the weights, it'll be another 1,000 calorie burning day! I've been having them a LOT lately! :) I know I'll step on the scale, too. I've been doing really good, and I'd like to see a loss...but I won't change my ticker until Sunday...official weigh-in and all!

Monday is going to be so hectic. 8am, Andrew has to be at his consultation for the Vasectomy, and he wants me to go with him. And then, I have to be at work at 10am. Busy busy.

I'll be back a little later!

Val - :crossed: Hope you're able to go home soon! Are you guys going to be able to stay home for a little while, or is it right back to the open road?

Misti - :bravo: 45 pounds! You're rockin'! :D

Redhotmama - Personally, I'm doing the South Beach Diet. I started off with cardio dance, because I've always been sorta FIT for a fat person...but walking is a GREAT way to exercise! Walking every night a couple of years ago, and not changing my diet at all, I lost about 30 pounds in a summer!

Nancy - You're almost to the 2's! So close you can almost TASTE it, right? lol

Sharon - Hope you are feeling better by this weekend!

Ammi - LOL about Myspace! They are always having issues...bleh. You are DEFINATELY going to be seeing those 2's next week! :D :D :D

Stephanie - :welcome3: to 3FC, and to the board! Sounds like you've got it all figured out, and great job losing 10 lbs so far! :) This is a great group of people, and I'm sure you'll love it! :D

redhotmama 06-15-2006 03:49 PM

So I have decided to do calorie counting. I think that would be the most easiest for me. I am going to start this monday with the **official** start date. It is going to be a challenge, but I am going to do it.

My goal by September 20 (28th birthday) is to be a size 18/20, so I can buy clothes at Old Navy in the regular section.

Thanks for all the support and welcomes. Plan for me to be a regular here!!!

My biggest challenge...going out to eat with my boyfriend. He loves to go out to eat! It is so hard being tempted, that I usually fail miserly. But now that I have this place, maybe it won't be so hard.

AmmiUK 06-15-2006 04:55 PM

Hpnotq - no you didn't say your hubby was in hospital, you said you were getting ready to take him there, so I was just hoping that he wasn't kept in. Do they have any idea what is causing him the jaw pain? It's a shame antibiotics can't help that as they hopefully will soon clear up his throat infection. Poor guy must be feeling pretty blah right about now.

Wyllen - I am reluctant to join the exercise thread because right now it's just house work and occasional walking that I do. I never know how much of either I will do, so it makes it hard to set a number and then stick to it. When I start proper exercising, hopefully with a Gazelle Rider, if I can ever find one, I will be on the thread with bells on :D

Stephanie - :wel3fc: good to have you here. Making the decision to lose the weight is a great start, and knowing how you plan to do it is even better. WW is great, and I think it's so cool that you are going with your grandpa, does he need to lose much weight, or is he mainly going with you for moral support? Either way, it's great. Good luck to you this week, the first is always the hardest, get past that and it gets much easier :D

Patti - yep I am having the same problems as you are when it comes to finding an affordable elliptical that takes my weight. I even found one earlier that only takes 140 lbs, what good is that to somebody our size!! Gazelle Riders go up to 300 lbs, but one of them goes to 350 lbs. They are easy to get over there, and really priced well. Over here I can't find any except on ebay and I always get outbid. Grrrrr.

Idril - so glad to hear that the wedding went well and that you looked lovely. I look forward to seeing the photos when you have them. Ooops about the fine, that was nasty wasn't it!

Well done on not gaining any weight while you were away, and for losing 2 lbs as of today :cheer: :bravo: that is really brilliant. You should be really proud of yourself!

Crock - I know you love to babysit Austin, but with being so unwell I really think you shouldn't have offered. Not only won't you get the rest you so terribly need but Austin could catch your germs too :( I hope you will be able to cope with him, he's a handful even when you are well. Take care

Kayley - wow Andrew is young to be having a vasectomy isn't he?? Don't you two want kids?? I guess not, or you would be more upset about the procedure I guess.

That's amazing that you have worked off 1000 calories today, and that it's not the first time. Boy oh boy you have fantastic determination. Can you send some my way please :D

Myspace sucks, lol, I wouldn't even try to join up but I wanted to see my friends stuff. Oh well she will just have to send it to me by email!!

Redhotmama - glad you have decided what diet plan you will follow, I hope you won't find it too difficult.

I hear you on the going out thing, it does make dieting very difficult when you have any kind of social life, I guess in the beginning you just need to cut back portion sizes maybe, or learn what is the least fattening thing on the menu etc. It can be done, it just takes some time and planning.

Bye for now,

Hugs,

Ammi :grouphug:

MsCrockett 06-15-2006 05:04 PM

Ammi~ Thanks, I offerred a week or so ago to watch him, I have Mandy as well and she is a tremendous help.. she is 12 going on 30.. So I will manage, I asked the doctor about being contagious and she said NO,, only if I get fevered... after my nap, I am actually feeling better, Today is a Cartoon inside day for sure.. Austin is being very well behaved I think he can tell his Aunt NONNIE is sick.... Thank you for the concern.. you are, my friend, appreciated......

toofatforu 06-15-2006 06:03 PM

Ammi i am like you what good is an exercise machine if it has a weight limit.. and then when you find one it is always higher priced!

AmmiUK 06-15-2006 07:05 PM

Crock - I am glad you are feeling better after your sleep. I am also glad that you have Mandy staying with you too, you definitely have got yourself a good little helper there. Well as you assure me you are feeling ok, and that Mandy is there to help, then I just want to say have FUN with the two little darlings.

Patti - I think there should be a law that if a person is over a certain weight they should be able to get exercise equipment at a reduced rate. We shouldn't be penalised and put off exercising because to buy stuff that takes our weight is impossible!! To be honest, the main reason I want a Gazelle Rider is because it takes my weight and isn't too expensive!

I am going to sleep now, hoping to go to the Mumbles again tomorrow if I feel up to it and if the weather stays dry.

Hey guys!! Think I skipped town?? Things are OK here. It STILL is raining although tomorrow is supposed to be beautiful.... for 12 days so the weather station says! Lets hope!

Steve and I are setting camp tomorrow until Monday. I can't wait! 3 beautiful sunny ( I hope) days alone with hubby with no TV, video games etc. Another bonus is that we swim and walk alot while we are out camping. That is great for my butt! haha

I prepared the menu today and it shouldnt be TOO hard to stay OP except for the JiffyPop over the fire. That is one of our treats for our last night. I will just have to watch my portions.

Anyway, I am off to bed so I can get up and be ready for 630am when Steve gets home from work. He can sleep AFTER the tent is set up *L*

Happy Birthday Crock! I wont be here to wish you one on Sunday!!

Have a great OP weekend everyone and I'll catch up on Monday!

Well ladies, I've apparently fallen further off the wagon than I thought. No matter what I do lately, it seems as though I gain weight. I've stayed OP for the most part, with a couple "oops" days here and there, but nothing to explain the weight gain. TOM is due, but that doesn't explain a majority of the weight. TOM was actually due a few days ago.. guess we'll have to wait a few days and see what happens. I'm not too worried at this point, because I have PCOS and it has only recently become regular.

I'm not changing my ticker until Sunday, but it doesn't look good =( I'm getting in exercise (probably not enough, but I'm still doing some of it), I'm getting in water (definitely not enough, but more than I have been getting for a while), and I'm not eating too horribly. I just don't know! Either way, I have an appointment with my doctor next week. She's going to test my thyroid and do the normal workup to see how my cholesterol, lipids, glucose, etc are.

Anyhow, welcome to the new ladies. Congrats to the losers and those who stick with it. Hope everyone who's ill starts feeling better. And, of course, I hope you ladies have a wonderful weekend.

Just my yammering...

Hey Everyone! Got another 80 minutes of pool time in tonight! Some swimming, some treading. ;) Got in some nice fruit too - blueberries, and strawberries!! Only 39 calories for 50 blueberries! And about 5 calories per strawberry - yay! :D Also, I'm planning on going to the craft store tomorrow to buy more supplies for my creations. Woo hoo, lol! :carrot: I just started up again doing my crafts - it was nice to get back into the swing. :) Picked up some healthy snacks as well today - low fat graham crackers, fruit cups, fresh fruit, cottage cheese, etc. On a roll! LOL! :cb: Also when I was walking around grocery shooping I also got in a total of 2037 steps by the time I got home!! :o That's a big feat for me considering my goal last night was to walk 500 steps on my walk! :)
Well I guess that's everything for tonight, lol.
Have a good one everybody, and stay on track!! ;)

Yes that is where WE come in! :) Many times when placed in tempting situations I am able to resist because of the thought that I can come back here and post sharing my victory!!! You can do this!

Wow so much to comment on, Crock, playing with the kids might take your mind off being ill, PLEASE STOP SMOKING! My oldest son has asthma, my then new boyfriend stopped smoking 4 weeks after we met as I was going to introduce him to Philip. Sadly Philip smokes, even though he comes from a smoke free home, the boyfriend is now hubby, he'd smoked for 20 years!!!! but stopped for me & my son. If you want kids it might be a good time to cut down now you're ill anyway, I'm an ex-smoker too, been 20 years since I stopped (when I got pregnant with Philip). About Yahoo & stuff I'm on msn as voodolady65 so msn me if you like, any info would be appreciated, my SBD starts on SUnday, possibly Monday, as it's Steve's birthday then too.
Kayley, thanks for the well wishes, I'm amazed they let Andrew get a vasectomy, in the Uk they won't let you unless there's a medical reason or you already have children. I understand now how strongly you both feel, I was the same but things do change as you get older, you may both want a child when you hit 30 or so, then it's way too late for a reversal. Sorry to preach, I respect people who CHOOSE not to have kids, it's just that it is so permanent, Steve had his 2 years ago & still wishes he could have more kids, it was me who said NO MORE!!! please don't think I'm being bossy or like a mum.xxxx
I'll post some more in a mo, gotta take Gareth to school.

I'm back, welcome back Idryl, your trip sounds lovely (apart from the towing!!!), hurry up & get those pics posted!
Brand new me, sorry things are no so good at the moment, grit your teeth & buckle down!!! xxxxxx Was there any reasons you 'fell off the diet waggon'? I hope things improve for you very soon & you feel able to start againxxxxx
Brenda hope the weather stays good for you & you get lots of walking/swimming inxxx where are you going camping? Not that me, a Brit, would know anyway, but just asking, lol!
Ammi, you are really trucking now, so glad the meds are working for you xxx The nurse told me to give my pills two months to settle my hormones down, so if there's no joy then I'll try & get some depression tabs, but I really don't want to unless things get very bad.xxx
Red hot momma, can you go for a meal somewhere that they serve healthier lower fat foods? I'm sure you can check the menu beforehand and look into fat/calorie/points values for some foods.xxxx
I think that's it, nothing much to report apart from we're off out tonight!!!!!! I get the chance to wear heels, sparkley jeans and MAKE UP, something I never get the time to apply normally, though what's the point of putting it on to take Gareth to school or go shopping? I'm looking forwards to it, just hope I don't feel too self-conscious, I often get FAT ATTACKS when I'm trying clothes on & feel too ugly to go out, sob, though I think most of us have those moments at some time.
