Terri, to answer your question, No, ususally they do not take the whole staff out. I work in the business office, (the billing office) and right now there are 3 new drugs that have just been FDA approved for use, and they are very complex and expensive drugs and there is a LOT of work involved it getting the reimbursement factors set up, and a couple of these dinners have been "thank you 2 for your help" and some have been meetings between the other Rheumatologist in the area to "brainstorm" and learn strategeries. Then one of them was just for our doctors/staff because one of our doc's is the "spokesman" for one of the drugs and he gives informational talks to other doctor groups for this particular drug and they wanted us to hear his talk. (again this was a handpicked group) So I am very lucky to be included in all these dinners, but believe it or not they are getting old.

I forgot who asked (sorry) but I only made it to water aerobics one time this week. Yes I know that is bad, but that's all I was able to make it. maybe next week will be better.

I forgot to say my food did great on my Mexican dinner last night. I brought half of it home.

I've enjoyed my two days off from work. I seriously need more! I may try to get two weeks off when we move. It is so nice to not be around all that negativity.

Yesterday, we met with a mover who will pick our stuff up and hold it on a truck until we can get possession of the other place. The old coot who owns the place is being an old coot. Not too many movers will do that and go the distance we are going without it being one of those over-the-road kind of movers. Still not going to be cheap. But not as expensive as loading, unloading at storage and loading up again. We'll put the dog in the kennel at the vet's and stay in a cheap motel for a few days. We went to the bank today to meet with the loan officer and lock in a rate. Not great and no wonder house selling/buying has slowed down. I spent two months keeping the house clean and now that the packing has started, it is destroyed! I'm getting the garage sale pile started and hope its big. The only thing we have to do to our house after the inspection is fix a lock on the back door, which I have been asking DH to fix since January anyway.

We also decided that we needed to relax and do something fun for a change. We went to a movie yesterday. Inside Man with Denzel Washington and Jodie Foster. Not bad. Different and Denzel and Jodie are always good.

I have been applying Flylady principles - get rid of it! If I'm really smart, I'll move only my clothes and pampered chef stoneware and get rid of the rest. I used to be such a packrack with my paper stuff. But no more - scan it and shred it.

I've been changing my email over to hotmail. Its amazing how many things I have set up to change and how much junk mail I get from places I've shopped at. Been flyladying that too - unsubscribe! Change of address is next as soon as the appraisal is done and we know for sure that is a go.

I spent a couple of hours with the horses this afternoon as the farrier decided to show up today for his Wednesday night appointment. This time we even tried working on trimming one of the yearlings and she did really good. I am so happy to have them becoming so friendly and workable. DH's son has been playing with them and it has been helping. I can hardly wait to get them where I can work with them every day. We had fly spray lessons today and that didn't go well. Note to self - remember the leather gloves next time because rope burn does not feel good.

Food has been pretty good this week. I have been trying to not let stress get me eating anymore after I had that wake-up call on the scale. I know I need to get back to more organized exercise besides just the dog walking. I do plan on using the moving as getting in extra movement - lots of trips up and down the stairs.

I just got the low-battery bubble so I better get this posted before I lose it.

2Cute last night was Bunco night. Had a great time. OleAlvin is working this morning and playing golf this afternoon so I have the whole day with nothing I have to do. I am going to go with my sister to take food to a lady in our Bunco group who had a mascetomy last week,

Terri, I don't envy you moving. At least you will have a clean houses when you are through!!! I'm still trying to get more stuff on Ebay, but am wondering if maybe I should just have a garage sale and get rid of all the junk at once!

Valerie, Where are you this week? Where is everyone else? Having fun??? are just busy doing "stuff"??? Come out to play witth us!

I hope it was wonderful for all! I got a fountain for the front of my house and it is exactly what I wanted - mostly because I told Jim ... "There's this wonderful cast-iron fountain at Gerbes, there are only two left, you should go get it for me because it would be a wonderful Mother's Day gift!"

I worked my butt off this weekend, which is good because I ate like a PIG! Still, I weeded this huge flower bed this weekend and also cleaned my sewing room - cleaning the sewing room was AWFUL. You couldn't even walk in there and I have so much fabric that I just HAVE to make up some time! Put it all in totes and rearranged the shelves and I have sore muscles where I didn't know I had muscles! Those 60 gal totes are HEAVY when filled with fabric! I have SO much to sew before June 9 - which is our week long camping event!

Well, much to do so I'll go now. Must run!

I hope eveyone had a Happy Mothers Day. I did. Heard from both boys and had a nice dinner out. Other than that, it was a usual Sunday. Getting ready for next week.

I've lost my last post I always start reading from when I posted last so I can catch up, I looked on the last thread for it but its gone! Very strange! Probably user error - I'm wondering if I've previewed instead of submitting -Duh!!!

I'm sorry but this is going to be yet another quickie, I've got a good excuse though - we are waiting for the cab to take us to the airport, Corfu here we come.
I've spent the whole day ironing all our clothes, we're taking far too many - as usual. We always end up with more luggage than anyone else at the airport The kids have been so excited today you'd think they were about to burst. I'm going to be adventurous when we get back and attempt to post some holiday pics.

I lost another 2 lbs this week, I'm planning on trying to be sensible when I'm away, not too strict but not going too wild, I'll be really disapointed with myself if I undo all my good work. I don't drink alcohol so at least it's just my food I'll have to watch.

Oops, just seen the time, better go wake the kids before the cab gets here.

Lilion, I covet your fountain. I did get an arbor last week, though, so I'd better be grateful. I wanted to plant today but it was too cold even for me.

I went and visited my mother yesterday. She is much improved since her knee surgery a few weeks ago and may even get to go home in a couple weeks. She is in a skilled care facility until her physical therapist thinks she can get around well enough to go home. Then I'm going to go spend a few days with her just to make sure everything goes okay.

Good morning ladies,

Gads, is it Monday again? I feel like I didn't have any time off from work. I really don't want to go back today. I think I can begin to appreciate a little of how that guy at work had the meltdown and needed time off. I could use five weeks off to get my head together too.

The four days were a blur. The thing that stresses me about moving is the part of it getting worse before it gets better. Ladies from Sunday school are going to come over on Friday night to help me pack. So I'm carting stuff downstairs to the rec room to make it easier to have people over helping. And I'm being diligent about putting stuff in the garage sale. Actually, I'm beginning to wonder about the bid the mover gave us because really, the only furniture is the kitchen table, hutch, buffet, another buffet, bed, armoire, large dresser, small dresser and exercise bikes along with miscellaneous garage items and boxes. I'm selling the loveseat, couch, futon, and two chairs downstairs. I made many trips up and down the stairs this weekend. Got the garage in good shape sorting stuff out into trash dump, mover, garage sale and storage. All while DH thought it was okay to lay on the couch. He seems to think it is appropriate to do that on the weekend while I'm working like a dog and then he will do his work on Monday morning. He is like Scarlett - tomorrow is another day.

Food was pretty good this weekend too. DH finally got his new grill at Lowe's so he's back to grilling. We've had BBQ chicken, steak, pork chops and hamburgers in the last week. So much better than eating out. We ate out lunch at Bob Evans on Thursday and it was hideous. A huge waste of calories and money. We had lunch out on Friday at 54th Street Grill and it wasn't really good either. Another waste. But otherwise, we've been cooking at home again. So much better. The good thing about our eating habits these days is that we are eating so much less food than before. We're getting better at recognizing that we've had enough and to stop. Now to get DH to recognize that we won't eat what he cooks and to cook less. That is hard to get a grip on.

Lilion - The shoulder must be doing better. That's a lot of yardwork. But good exercise!

BJF - Did your mom have knee replacement surgery? My dad had both done years ago. I hope that she's back up and on her feet soon so that she can go home. It has been so cool here too - very uninspiring about being outside and planting anything. I have so many flowers I want for the new place but need more sunshine and warmer weather to make me want to go buy them!

Leslie - Congrats on the 2 pound loss! Have a fun and safe holiday! We'll be waiting for pics when you get back.

Barb.G - This is the week to do better about the exercise!

Ruth - You've been awfully quiet. You said you'd help keep the thread going so get back in here and post more!

Thin - DH must be off to Mexico again. Hope we get to see more of you too.

A Happy belated Mom's Day to all you Moms!! I hope you got at least a fraction of the appreciation you each deserve!

HI all!! It's a rather gloomy (or smoggy?) day here in L.A., but triffic is actually moving, and we haven't been run over by a police car chase yet, so I'm quite happy. It's been an interesting weekend. Some crazy broad wanted to beat me up in the laundry room yesterday (highly entertaining to the rest of the folks there), and there's been a facsinating array of weirdos at counter in the restaurant (I can't believe they let some people vote & procreate). The barefoot drunk female this morning during breakfast was a real prize.

On the up side, I did get to meet a couple of beautiful Iggies (Italian Greyhounds) which I really loved, and oh, hey, I had a really good food day for once!!! Yippee! I've still been maintaining rather than losing, and haven't been exercising as I should, but each day I've been trying to be a little better about eating. As I was falling asleep last night I realized how well I'd done yesterday almost by accident, which is a boost for doing well again today. Today is the start of my TOM festival, so things can only get better.

to all of you who've offered me so much support and comfort lately. It's appreciated SO very much. If there were no good days it would be so much easier to put an end to the mess. For the time being I'll make a few preparatoins, like moving Gabriel out of my name (and therefore out of the financial equation) and work on counseling. I wonder if it's possible to just seperate finances, so while I work at what I want to and pay certain bills, he does the same, with some sort of mediation to handle the debt.

TERRI, I've taken to heart what you said about not letting the debt be a dungeon in my mind. I think I do that sometimes and it darkens my outlook and moods terribly. If I can't break outa the bars, I'll just hafta get skinny enough to squeeze between them. I know what you mean about somebody messing with Spanky, too! Oh, how that must have ticked you off!!

BRENDA, I know I had something in particular to say to you, but I'm currently suffering from a brain fart and can't recall what. It was probably along the lines of Thank you!/Bravo/Good Job... danged if I can remember the specifics.
