I know you'll all agree that we are really thankful for the free services here at 3FC. The sisters offer all of this support and information with no charges to us. There are a couple of ways though that we can help out.
If you are thinking about buying anything at Amazon, why not help out 3FC at the same time? You can do this by clicking on the button for Amazon on any page in the forum, or by clicking on the button on the main 3FC page at www.3fatchicks.com . A portion of your purchase price will be given to 3FC by Amazon. It doesn't increase your price at all, but it does help out 3FC. You can use any of the Amazon.com links that you see on the site in order to help contribute to the site.
Also, BTW, in case you didn't know it, you can view the message boards "ad free" for a minimal charge. I think it's like $15 for 6 months. A very small investment to be rid of the annoying ads and make your pages load quicker.
There have been some concerns expressed by the powers that be about copyright infringement. So please, if you are directly quoting someone else or printing an article in whole or in part, please give credit where credit is due!!!!

Well, I never got the phone call so when my hubby came home he called them. We bought a new sofa and love seat on Saturday and I was waiting to see when they will deliver them tomorrow.
Flady: Small Steps are exactly right. Good job.
Ammi: I love that you put the picture on your Avitar. You guys are such a cute couple! Congrats on the -2. You are so much on your way to under 300. I see it just around the corner!
Xena: How is WW core working for you? Come on Xena, you can do it.
Crock: Congrats on your weekly -3!
Excellent job.
Wyllen: I love to see on your CW that you are almost to being under 200. How exciting. I 'm so happy and proud of you! Keep up the wonderful work. How is your hubby's new job going?
Julee: Wonderful NSV's. Way to go. You must feel so happy when you expeirence those. I can't wait to have a few to tell you guys about.
Suemarie: WAAAHOOO! Under 350! You go girl!
Sharon: Good job riding your bike. How fun you must be having. Glad you are feeling a bit better.
Zelma: So sorry that it did turn out to be skin Cancer but, Thank God it was caught in time and taken care of. Sorry you have to have so many "needle" things. I am the same as you. I get terrified of them. Hang in there. My sister had to have B12 shots for a while and she did so well with them. I hope you experience the same.
Valerie: You can call me anytime! Thank you for the kind words. How are you doing? I try not to bug you when I know you are at home so you can be with your fur babies and ride.
Waterchicklet: I'm so glad you are here. You will love posting here and getting to know these lovely ladies. They are all special and spectacular. I love em and you will too. Welcome!
Kayely: Maybe you have gained some back because of heat, salt or TOM? Don't fret. You are aware of the tiny gain and trying to do something about it. You are doing well sweetie. I know you have been so stressed out lately with all the job stuff, that could be it too. Hang in there.
Mell: Hi.
Vicki: Good luck to you on what ever you decide to do. Hang in there.
If I failed to mention you by name sorry and big Hope everyone is doing well and having op days!
Blessings,
Dogpal/ Annie
Oh! Good! Grief! I took time off for lunch and a quick nap, and you guys wrote another whole thread!! I’m still trying to catch up from 905!
On the subject of how quick and easy men can lose weight sometimes - SURE! But it's all in the testosterone! You know, the same stuff that builds muscle and burns calories, but also puts hair on your chest and kills brain cells. Do you REALLY wanna trade???
AMMI – You’re so funny with your cyber BO joke! BTW, I love your new avatar – you two are so cute! *** AS for the pony, if you REEEEEALLY knew me, you know that any excuse is good enough for me to want another pony. I adore ponies, and haven’t had one for a while. (I was up to 7 at one point.) My “Little Sister” is more my “Little” (and I’m her “big”) than my ‘sister.’ Have you heard of Big Brothers/Big Sisters? It’s a mentoring organization for kids, especially in broken homes, and in her case there were quite a lot of serious issues. If I’d realized the extent of it at the beginning, I might not have gotten involved. There were some really tough times, but it’s been worth ever minute of it. I’m very proud of her – at one point I feared she’d be pregnant by the time she was 14 and it would head downhill from there. But she’s done pretty well, grown up and gained self respect, and she’s going to be a great and very dedicated mom. I haven’t actually seen her in about 7-8 years, but we talk on the phone pretty regularly. She’s always known she could call me when something big or bad happened. I’d always be very straight with her, but not judge her. I’ve seen her rise above abuse and get herself away from pot & coke. She’s conquered all that on her own, before any of it cost her too dearly, and I thank God for that. She’s learned to step back, look at her life and her destination, and choose a better path than the one she was on. How much more proud of her could I be?
XENA – I have such a good feeling about your new start this week! I hope you had those core-friendly snacks at work today, and are revved up for healthy trip OP now! – Just caught up with your Monday post –GOOD JOB!! Isn’t it great when you can just feel that you’re BACK?! And on track!
PATTI & CROCK – WHOOP WHOOP! Congrats on the weight loss.
Miss KAYLEY > The gifts you gave for Mom’s Day sound so beautiful and thoughtful. Can I adopt you? What an amazingly sweet thing to have that picture redone for your G-ma. But we already knew you are a peach! I have something else to say to you, but it will have to wait until my next post. Ditto to you on the sort of things I tell Wyllenn below:
WYLLENN > I like your new 5C tagline. And I’ve gotta tell you, I’m so freaking proud of you and all that exercise. I feel like such a loser (not in the way we want to be, either) that I’ve been AWOL from the exercise list for so long. I just haven’t been able to get it together. But every time I’ve read one of your posts, it’s brought me an inch closer to being back with the program. You keep refreshing my memory, not letting me forget not only that I should be doing more, but how good it felt to do it and how great it is to be able to report it. So even tho I haven’t been on track, you’ve helped me keep it within reach. Thank you so much. It’s one of the ways that staying with the list, even when I'm not doing my best, still helps, supports and encourages me. I'm so indebted to everyone here
What did I ever do without you guys!?!? (Oh yeah, I got like, way fat & stayed that way!)
SHARON > I hope you’re feeling better! Enjoy putting some miles on that new bike!
BRENDA > I hope you feel better, too!
ZELMA > You poor dear! The whole procedure and aftermath of dealing with your skin troubles has to be just horrible for you to go through, and understandably scary! Thank goodness you have your DH there to help you through it all, but I’m just so sorry that you had to deal with it at all! I wish you a quick and total recovery!!! How did you discover that you had a problem in the first place? (Sorry if I missed the answer to this previously.) *** And what Maria Lucia said – I second that!
WELCOME to WATERCHIKLET !! Congrats on that sweet bundle of babyness!! Kiss that little face a dozen times for me. We’re looking forward to having you along on the journey with us, as well!
JULEE > WOO -HOO!!!! Congrats on all those NSV’s!!! Those were SO cool! *** Thank you again, and once again I have been straightened out. Isn’t it just amazing how silly those Gentiles can be? (Go ahead… Tell me I used that one wrong, too. LOL) I’ll just have to settle for smooching my pooch, and DON’T worry, I wouldn’t DARE “shtup" ANYONE! HEY! Did you see that DolphinGirl said “Schmuck”??? Whuddya think o that?!
VICKI, Oh DolphinPal, I was just wondering about you earlier tonight! I’m glad to see you posting, AND getting back OP! I’m right where you’ve been – maintaining, not gaining, not doing what I know how to do. Coming back here is So really important for me – Inspiring, like you said. XENA is with us – back on track, conquering the blues and pushing on!!! Let’s do it! (And maybe we’ll get a sneaker promotion contract with a motto like that?! <BG>)
ELAINE > Good to see you again! Keep up the good work and keep popping in on us whenever you can!!
Dogpal - you could NEVER bug me! We didn't make it home anyway... we're in Los Angeles. Had 2 great loads both cancel on us today (one of which took us to within 30 miles of HOOOOOOOME) so here we sit. Hopefully tomorrow will be a winner!
Just a quick hello to let you know I have not been in touch because I did not go for either test, the one Monday nor am I going on Weds...
They say there is no fool like an old fool but I am just not ready for all that...
It is also said that worry can make one ill, I really think there are great truths in that...
You have been such a dear friend to me...
I hope my suggestions have indeed in some small way helped you along your weight loss path again and have *inspired* you in some small way as your being *here* for me with my health problems have greatly helped me...
I think what it all comes down to with my health issues is continued weight loss and to stop obsessing so over the pain in my side, I think as the weight continues to go so will my pain...
SOOOO glad to read that you are down two more pounds
I'll catch up on the personals that I missed tomorrow...I'm so incredibly tired right now, and it's off job hunting tomorrow again.
Stay strong, ladies, and KEEP IT UP!!!
Holy cow, we have a lot of MIA’s! VIOLET? GARNET? CHRISTINE, FUTUREDIVA, JILLY, SANDI D, TRACEY, AMBER, CATHERINE… and did I see a post recently from BRANDNEWME or not?? LUAN, you’re kinda scarce lately, too. And what ever happened to ELMAY and FRISKY PIXIE?
BTW, I finally got my fanny out and walking again tonight!!! Yippee! Thanks Kayley and others for your inspiration and Annie for your faith in me!! As long as I've put together a couple of fairly good food days, might as well kick it up with a little motion! Time to lose another buncha tonage.
It still tickles me even 3 weeks on to be awake, done housework and be sitting here catching up with you all, and all before 11 am I see that I have missed a whole heap of posts so I have quite a catch up to do.
NoMoreHurt - just want to thank you for taking the time to post to me on here, I had been wondering where you were. Are you going to try to post here or at least come read some posts more often. I think you will find great inspiration and motivation to keep on track with your weight loss
Crock - sorry to hear that your legs are giving you grief, and I hope that when you go to the doctors he can do or give you something to help you out. It's such a shame that you are so ready to exercise now but not able to do as much as you might want because of the pain. I hear you on favouring your bad leg, so your good leg is starting to hurt now. When I had my bowel problems at one stage I was severly constipated on one side because the side that had the colitis was working overtime which made the other side lazy. A good old enema sorted me out though
Kayley - I am glad you like the new pic, it's not recent, in fact it's nearly a year old and that smile of mine is because I had just finished tickling Daren to get him to smile in the photo. As you can see, the tickling worked It's a fave photo of mine.
I am so frustrated, a lot of you are fine with the tickers now and they still aren't working for me. I want my ticker back
I was reading your post and how you were so angry with yourself for eating 2 Oreos the other night. Go back and look at that post and think to yourself how many you would have eaten had you not been on a diet at all. I think eating 2 is quite acceptable and you shouldn't be so hard on yourself. Don't put your ticker back up, just hang in there, you will lose that weight again.
How are the legs now, I hope they aren't as sore as they were when you posted. Daren used to be a firm believer that if you don't push past the pain barrier when you exercise then you aren't achieving anything. But after trips to the gym after not going for months he soon found out that pushing yourself isn't the best thing. He couldn't even raise his tea cup to his mouth his arms were that painful the next day. When and if he does go to a gym again, I am going to make sure he doesn't overdo it.
As for your turning down the Saturday at the nursing home, I say good for you. They can't treat people like dirt and then expect them to do them favours. Besides, like you said, it's not like you would gain anything, especially as any money you make would go on gas. So good for you for telling them no.
Good luck with your new birthday goal!
Mel - I loved your post for the newcomers, I think it would be lovely to have that as part of the first welcome posts to each thread
Xena - I hope those meatballs didn't end up making you ill! I commend you on eating what you did, not giving yourself a hard time about it, but counting them as part of what you could eat that day. That's why I love WW so much, I can eat whatever I want, just in moderation and not have the guilt of thinking OH NO I'm not living on celery and lettuce
ShrinkingChica - boy you are shrinking aren't you. 99 lbs gone, that is just brilliant, do you have any tips for us gals that are only just starting out?
SueMarie - I am going to get Daren to take photos of me today, possibly in my swimming costume, or just my undies, so that over time I will be able to take new photos and hopefully see where the weight is coming off. 30 or 40 lbs feels like such a big loss doesn't it so it's heartbreaking when we can't notice any difference. I think that's one of the reasons I get to 30 lbs lost and then give up dieting. I think it's not worth it. But not this time. I am going to lose that 30, and then another 30 and not give up!
Cyn - how are things going with your diet, are you on track and doing well?
MariaLucia - I wasn't a particularly fat girl in school, I guess I was a size 16, still bigger than most of the others though. So I still had the embarrassment of doing PE and Sport, especially as the shorts we had to wear were actually exactly like big knickers. I hated them. I was always picked last for teams too, and was ridiculed when I ran etc. I also agree with you and Zelma that keeping fit doesn't have to always mean team sports. I wish more schools etc would realise that.
Vicki - lovely to see you posting again, and I am sorry to hear that you have been having a hard time of it with those scales not moving. I admire you admitting that although you are thrilled for the girls that are losing weight, but that at times it makes you feel envious that you aren't doing as well. I have felt the same before now. Geez I was even jealous of my hubby for losing 4 lbs without trying when I only lost 2 after lots of hard work Anyway, I am glad you are feeling ready to get back on track, and I hope we can all help you to stay there
Elaine - hi, good to see you. Good luck with your WI tomorrow, let's hope you see a loss but if not, that you don't gain!
Annie - so glad you liked that I put 'that' photo on here. It does look better than I thought it would at such a small size
Have your sofas arrived yet? I hope you enjoy the new luxurious comfort, and nothing can beat a recliner, bliss
Val - I hear you on the flying threads There I was moaning that nobody was around on Mother's Day, and now everybody seems to be making up for it Glad you got a chuckle from my cyber BO quip
I realised you weren't talking about a 'blood' sister when you posted about her having her baby today, I assumed perhaps it was a close friend. I didn't get it when you said you were matched to her, but I didn't want to sound dense by asking about it, You have explained it all now though, and I think it's wonderful that you became 'big sister' to her and have been there for her when she has needed you. Seems like she has come through such a lot and I am happy now to think that she must have a guy who loves her, and that she is now having a baby. Any news on the birth yet, is she in labour still, what's happening?
Oh ok, lol, any excuse to buy a pony, I get you So if you were to buy the baby a pony would he/she get to call it their own, or would it just be Val's lovely pony that she lets me ride
Good on you for getting out and about and doing some walking, they do say that it's one of the best forms of exercise don't they! Do you take Simon with you, or is he still sulking with you over his paw
As Val and a few others have mentioned we do have a lot of ladied missing, can I just say that if you are reading these posts at least, it would be lovely if you posted, if only to say you are well even if perhaps you aren't dieting. We are a wonderful close knit cyber family and we miss you all when you go missing.
Ok time to get going now, but I will return, Bye for now,
You girls sure burn up your keyboards! THAT'S how you are all losing so much weight! It's the typing!! LOL!!
Not much new going on here - had a great Mother's Day - went to my mom's and visited for awhile until the kids got squirrely - they couldn't go outside so we left earlier than we wanted to but at least had a good visit. I hope all you mom's had a great day as well!
My oldest baby, Mike, who will turn 20 next week dug a pond for me in the backyard for Mother's Day complete with a waterfall! He put a small pond in the front yard about 5 years ago for Mother's Day and now I have a small one in the backyard! As soon as we save up enough money we will hook up a pump and be in business! He is SO SWEET!!
AMMI: CONGRATS on doing so well with your weight loss and also with getting moving! That's so great! I'm actually up off the couch myself - here I am typing at 7:00 A.M.!! Imagine if we lived close - we'd be out jogging!! NOT!!!
ZELMA: Glad the procedure is over for you and I hope everything works out well. I HATE needles myself - ugh -
ANNIE: Keep going! You are doing SO GREAT! I'm starting LAWL again on Thursday and am READY to start losing again! We may be joining the YMCA and that should help too!! The kids will run me around the gym with the basketball! LOL!!
Well, ladies, my sanity is slowly slipping away as this is the LAST WEEK of school! My babies will be with me 24/7 starting on Friday until the end of August! I have a girl that will take 2 of them to the pool one day and the next day she will take the other two and so on - they will do this for a couple of hours a day so that will be good that I'll be able to spend two on two time instead of four on four - that doesn't work so well! LOL!!
I just skimmed the posts as there are SO MANY, but a big CONGRATS to all you losers! GOOD JOB!!!
Yet another Rainy miserable day her in Central West Virginia.... Makes me lazy when days are like this... I think the extended weather shows this miserable weather for 7 more days..~yuck!~
I gotta Get some more coffe and I will try to touch base with you guys shortly.Take Care
Misti - glad you are popping in to say hi. I know the speed of these threads can be so overwhelming but I am glad you aren't letting it scare you off. It's always good to pop in and say hi
Patti - seems you have the same aim as me, to get out of these darn 300s. I am sure that you will get there quicker than me and I look forward to celebrating your entry into twoderville
Lori - glad to hear you had such a lovely mother's day, and what an awesome gift from your eldest. I'll be lucky if Beth washes a plate for me when she is 20
Oh boy oh boy, your kids sure do have loooooooong holidays over there. Our kids have the same amount of time but it's spread throughout the year so that the longest holiday is 6 weeks in the summer. I am glad that you at least have somebody that will help you out taking them swimming two at a time. That should give you a bit of a breather.
Glad you put that big NOT next to us jogging together if we lived close Now if you had said you could see us nattering over a cuppa as we are both up early these days, then I would say, definitely
Crock - good grief not another day of bad weather. That's awful, isn't this supposed to be summer?? Well I just hope the weather improves soon, until then you can enjoy some indoor exercise and lots of cups of coffee
Guess what next door neighbour is doing now? He is out in his back garden playing his banjo really loudly. He really has got tickets on himself. It's like living next door to the Beverly Hillbillies Anybody for a barn dance
Ok going to shut my window loudly lol and have a look see who is about for a chat on messenger. Bye for now,
I'm sooo bad! I've missed at least one whole thread and I suspect it was more like two, since I keep reading things about Zelma's skin biopsy that I apparently missed altogether! Hope you are doing okay!
I've been very bad about posting. I belong to four boards and a dozen Yahoo groups and I've probably posted on one or two about every other day for weeks now. I still try to lurk though, especially here!
Food has been bad. I expect tomorrow's WI to be less than steller...in fact, I expect it to be a gain - at least in water weight. I've just not been watching my food and ate a metric ton of brownies yesterday. I've just GOT to get back into the swing!
The weekend found me doing yard work and by Sunday I was so sore I was unable to get back on the evil eliptical which is setting in my living room mocking me! It's been weeks! Darn thing is gonna kick my butt when I finally get back on. After the yard work I spent the rest of the weekend cleaning and organizing my sewing room. Now THAT was a chore! On the up side, I discovered my dress form is this close to being too big for me! I looked for new ones on line and found that I'll have to buy a large, instead of a plus-size!
But not if I keep eating like this!
I do hope you all are well! to the new folks - I see a few! And everyone else - hang in there!
Ammi i think we will get there together... you do so much better than me... if i would quit having weekend splurges lol. well gotta get up and go do my last 20 minutes on the treadmill for the day!
