I can't eat gooey in the morning *L* Right now I am having an omelet consisting of 2 eggs and 1/2 cup egg whites, some steak, mushrooms, green pepper and celery. I am trying to make breakfast my biggest meal of the day since I find it helps to make me "not crave" for the rest of the day. lunch consists of whatever I make hubby for dinner and dinner for me is chopped veggies and dip sometimes with some cheese and sliced chicken for extra protien

BRENDA~ You seem to be feeling better today, I am happy to see that, do you have any new recipes?
|
Hey crock... i am feeling better. Feel like that "meltdown" is over :D I made something the other day that was phase 2 and hubby LOVED it. You take multigrain bread (bagette type works great) and dip it in egg white and vanilla, and cover it in whole wheat bread crumbs or crushed branflakes. You then bake them in the oven at 400 for 15-20 min and they come out all nice and crispy. Sugar free syrup and you are off and running! Hubby ate about 6 portions *L* so you can tell he fell off the wagon too :D This is something that you can make a bunch and freeze I would think and just pop them in the toaster oven to reheat.YUM!

Just in for a quick drive-by posting today...I have a meeting in 10 minutes!
I just had to say that it seems there's been a bit of romantic relationship turlmoil amongst us lately. I think it's GREAT! I know it's hard to do all the heavy thinking and feeling and deciding, but it shows that we are confident anough in our own self worth that we are re-evaluating major elements of our lives. GOOD FOR US! Yes, it can be difficult and even painful at times, but in the end, it's better to realize what you need in a relationship and make the decision to go get it (if you're not getting it already). And so, to anyone having relationship issues right now, but at the same time, a major high-five to you each as well! Thanks to everyone for being supportive of my inasane eating--you're all exactly right--I was the Maid of Honor at my sister's wedding! how often does that happen (well, actually, this was the second time, but I'm confident it will be the last as well!)?! I'm back on track today--we did buy some bagels from Panera Bread, but I checked the nutritional info on their website and have planned well enough so I can have the whole bagel with cream cheese and still stay within a reasonable amount of calories for the day :^: I'll be sure to post some pictures from the wedding just as soon as I get some (I couldn't it my camera in my little dress purse, so I am waiting for other people to send me pics). |
Jill~ I was just getting ready to put a pic of you on a milk carton.. I was wonderring about you and how you were..
Brenda~ that sounds good, I will make it this week,,, |
Michelle – Any friends of Zelma’s is totally welcome here!
Sharon – That is a difficult anniversary indeed. It is always amazing when we find ourselves feeling something and can’t put a finger on it, only to later learn there was a reason – like the anniversary of a sad event. It is like even if we don’t remember consciously, some part of us remembers. Zelma – I am so glad to hear that your TOM came! Yeah – I can identify with each of those items on your list. It kind of goes along with the tiredness, but I also find I felt very weak muscularly this last time. I think I noticed it more than before because I was trying to use my weights and I could barely lift my normal 5-pound hand weights. I also sometimes get cramping and I find when I am crampy that it can seem to effect my digestion (don’t know why). Brenda – I am so glad you were able to turn your breakdown into a breakthrough! That is definitely the way to do it. Each time we find ourselves in a situation like that the best thing we can do is to try and learn and grow from it. That toast thing sounds really good! Sandi – I SO know what you mean about food calling to you. Maybe that is why we are overweight – we are the Dr. Doolittle’s of food – it speaks to us! :D Kayley – Aren’t you almost done with your semester? Any news on the court job? Tracey – Sorry to hear about your ankle. That must be so tough! Can you still do some stuff at home like strength exercises? Ammi – Are you on Depo Provera? I have heard that can cause weight gain as well. You might want to check with your gyn about it. Crock - You have lost weight so fast! It sounds like you are doing everything right and you look healthy so I wouldn't worry about it. Well, I need to get to work, but wanted to pop in here first this morning. All is going well, although from my scale preview this morning it will be a maintain for me this week. But now I know that my body can be weird like that, and I did have two higher calorie days (although I did balance them out with lower calorie days). I just realized that as of Friday I have two weeks of work left before my vacation starting May 13th. We are going down to Hilton Head. It should be fun. I have to try on my bathing suits to see if they still fit ok and I want to buy a new pair of sneakers for all the walking we will be doing. |
Nancy~ Where is Hilton head? and I am always up for new sneakers, I have a shoe fettish,, that is the first thing I buy when I have the extra funds.........
|
Brenda~ I am working on a Phase 2 tuna casserole, today,, not sure if I am going for tuna or Turkey.. will let you know how it turns out.
|
Crock - Hilton Head is in South Carolina on the coast. It is a beachy (that really is a word :) ) place. We will also probably go to Savannah,GA for a day since it is close by. I am excited to go there since I lived in Atlatna for 7 years, always wanted to visit there and never got the chance.

Charlotte - Thanks so much!!! :)
Michelle - Hi there, and :welcome3: to 3FC, and to the board!!! Looking forward to getting to know you better in the future!!! :) I wish you much success!!! Misti - Thanks so much! Sharon - I'm so sorry that yesterday was so horrible...and my condolences to your friend. Zelma - I'm not a big fan of mangos or cantalopes (sp?), and my favorite fruit is Pineapple...not so good, as it is HIGH HIGH HIGH in sugar. That's what I was thinking about the other day...about how I wouldn't have been able to even WEAR the clothes back then...considering that top is a 2X, and those were just TOO tight back then. Tomorrow, I have my first REAL appointment with the counselor, so hopefully, my many issues will get worked on, and maybe ONE DAY, I'll be able to see that YES, I'm losing weight...;) Love Creek was absolutely gorgeous...although all the flowers weren't blooming quite yet, they did have some that were. They have like 4 different hiking trails, all different lengths, and a biking trail. We're definately going to have to go back sometime this summer. I'm on the edge, waiting to hear back from the courthouse...it's driving me CRAZY (crazier ;)) Tracey - Hope your ankle gets better SOON! Having to walk with a cane probably isn't too much fun! :( Ammi - The first 7 days are the toughest, and you are ON YOUR WAY!!! Way to go, girl! Nancy - Yep! The semester is JUST about over...this week is exam prep time, and then next week is finals. I've only got 5 days left (counting today), so I'm excited! And no news yet :( Crock - I have a major shoe fetish too...I have probably about 70 pairs...:o And then we won't get into the flip flops...so many pairs! Making my lunch, and getting ready to go to Health...today, the discussion is HIV/AIDS...like I haven't learned this stuff already?!?! I swear, all the stuff I've learned in this class is something that I'd already learned in grade school. Such a waste of time/money. Have my late class tonight, so I'll catch you all LATER! :) Have a great & OP day! |
Brenda - oh well that's a relief that it's not opera, I don't think I could have coped with Kellie singing that. I do look forward to hearing Chris, Elliot and Taylors offerings. I am sure Katherine will sing another beautiful ballad. So I am guessing you want Chris to win :D
There's one good thing about having a melt down, things can only go up from there. I also think that about bad days, you feel like nothing else can go wrong, and have a rotten day, only to wake up the next day wondering why you were so down the day before. So anyway, although it's not good that you did have a melt down, it's good that you are back on track now, and I have to say your breakfast sounded gorgeous, much better than the bowl of cornflakes I had lol. Crock - I only suffer with my legs and feet because of my weight, and when I start shopping I am fine, but by the end of it I am about ready to keel over. So I can definitely appreciate you not being too keen on going out to get some shopping done. I love vegetables, and I also love fruit, but not the cheap apples and oranges. No, can't be bothered with them worse luck lol. I Love melon and grapes, and mango and pineapple, mmmm. I am thinking of buying a smoothie maker, but what's stopping me is the expense of the fruit I would need to make the drinks. I am still sleeping when I can, but I am definitely feeling better for making the effort to not sleep as often, and also getting the walking in. When I am done here I am going to go start tea (evening meal) and while it's cooking I think I might clean the living room. Got to get a bit more active. Patti - Hi :D I am sorry that your knee nearly gave out on you the other day. Is that something related to your weight or other issues? My legs and ankles tend to hurt a lot when I walk, and sometimes I even wake up with pains in them. I look forward to losing some weight and hoping to see an improvement. Another American Idol watcher, it's a great show isn't it. I don't get to see it til Fridays over here when we have the main show and the results one after the other. Glad to hear we have another Chris and Taylor fan amongst us, though how come nobody likes Elliot? I think he's got a really unique voice. I would definitely buy an album if he makes one. Jill - don't little bags just suck lol, you can't put half of what you need in them. I just hope somebody comes good and sends you some photos of the wedding soon. I have a thing for handbags, they have to be just the right size, and hold just the right amount. Like Crock's shoe fetish, mine is bags, I am still looking for the perfect one. Nancy - no I am not taking depo provera. I have a little rod in my arm called Implanon. Some women have terrible problems with it, bleeding all the way through the month, others miss some periods, some just have light periods, me I am one of the ones that don't have a period at all. On the side effects as with most contraceptives it says could cause weight gain. So if I still don't have any joy with the weight loss after a change of meds and being on track again, I will have to question the doctor about if it's worth having the rod removed. Problem is that I can't take the pill because of high blood pressure, that injection of depo provera you tell me can cause weight gain, and I sure as heck am not going to have surgery. So right now I guess the Implanon is the lesser of all evils. That's great that you have maintained this week, maybe you will see a loss by the time you officially weigh. Only two weeks til you go on vacation, I hope you will have a lovely time and manage to enjoy having some treats without totally going off track with your diet. Kayley - you are right, the first 7 days are the toughest, before these last two days when I have tried to get back on track, the call to eat has been too strong and I would say to myself, ok eat what you want today and then start afresh tomorrow. But it took me til Monday to do just that, and now I feel ready to stick OP, so only another 4 days of the first 7 to go :D Back onto the subject of bags.....I have a question for you all. If you use a shoulder bag do you find that it keeps on slipping off your shoulders, and if it does do you think it's anything to do with your weight? I often see skinny girls walking around with their bags staying put, but mine ALWAYS slip off, no matter what the strap is made of, no matter how wide of thin it is, it won't stay put. Now I use a hand bag, but when I need a free hand to carry shopping or something I do miss having a shoulder bag. I am just wondering if I am alone in my handbag/shoulderbag woes?? Ok time to get going now, will be back again later, Hugs, Ammi |
Kayley, Wyllen, Zelma & Nancy, thanks for your kindness, I feel a bit better today, but had to force myself outside for a walk as the weather was so nice & I need the exercise. I was unsure about telling the truth about the abortion, I know lots of people are pro-life in the US, but your kindness has eased the pain a bit.
I have been reasonably OP today & walked fast for an hour & ten minutes. I hope you are all feeling well and the sun is shining on you.:) xxsharon:hug: |
EVERYTHING falls off my shoulders Ammi. Including bra straps! My biggest pet peeve!
Hey crock and kayley and I guess for everyone else that is interested. I found a WONDERFUL dessert on 3FC for Phase 1. All you do is take a lb of rhubarb, 1 cup water and 1/2 cup splenda. Cook that up till it is mush ;) and add a box of sugar free strawberry jello powder. WOW if you like strawberry rhubarb anything you will enjoy this. I thought it would be nice with coolwhip or low carb ice cream. Even just a sprinkle of granola type cereal or such would be nice. I ate it plain though. Wakes up the ole tastebuds and SB people, rhubarb is a VEG!!!! Not too often you can get a tasty Vegtable dessert!!! haha |
