For some reason I cannot read any oft he last 2 entire threads....so clearly I have mised something here. Argh.
Ladies...don't stress on the sizes. They are never consistent anyways. One of the things that really lit a fire under my butt when I started this was the fact that I was getting dangerously cose to not being able to fit into cloths at LB anymore. I remember when I first started shopping there and how traumatic it was for me back then. It was like admitting that I was a real "fat girl"...even though back then I was in their 14/16. In fact thinking back...back then, their managers used to ask me to come in and model for them when they had in-store events and major sales. They also used to call me when they would get in new collections to try the stuff on so they could see how it looked on an actual body. That was then... My sizes are still really off. I bought some 18's at Old Navy...they are getting big now. I don't think I could get into the 16 yet...but who knows. I don't like paying decent money for clothing since my sizes keep changing so much. I've been shopping at Ross where I can get jeans for about $15 a pair. I always hated buying actual plus-size jeans because I had to buy them to fit in my biggest area, my tummy, which meant they gapped at the waist, were to long and were ridiculously wide in the legs....all in all unflattering everywhere. The other day I bought a few tops at Target...2 differnt styles, both XXL on the junior's side (not plus size). They fit me compeltely differently which is so weird...but I've decided that I'm just going to buy stuff that fits and looks good and I'm not paying attention to the labels anymore. When I was a senior in high school, I was 140 and a size 10. I was certain that I was a total moose...because my friends were all size 4's. The fat mentality has ben in my head for so long and some days it's imposible to purge. Off of my rant... I am so looking forward to having down time this weekend. I really need to relax. I went to sleep on Wednesday night at 8:30...totally exhausted. Have a good weekend. |
