Hello

Hello everyone,

I have been lurking and finally decide to break out of lurk mode and start posting. I love this site! I hope I can join you all and offer my support and recieve when needed.

About me.. I am 39 yrs old, single no kids, living in NJ with my family.. I struggle with weight and food all my life..Once in the past, was successful with slim fast and Richard Simmons..During the years, been struggling on getting started again and staying on track with other diet plans and just did not click for me. Always cheating with my weakness for sweets and breads. I have tried Atkins, Dr.Phil, Weight Watchers, South Beach, calorie counting and always end up failing in the afternoons binges.

Now am taking a new approach of eating 3 Balanced meals and no snacking between meals. Have learned from my past food journals that snacking is my worst thing for me.

As for exercise till Spring arrives..I am doing my best on walking and using my step counter. I gave up on keeping a food journal, instead, an exercise one to keep myself motivated.

Looking forward on cheering and making friends who also struggles the same issues. Have a good day.. Thank you for letting me vent.. :)

You've found one of the best spots for support & help- we all understand what it is like to be facing at least a 50% reduction in weight just to get close to a 'normal' body weight. We do have different issues then someone who wants to lose 15-20 pounds- its hard sometimes to get the support you need when you have so much to lose- both in terms of pounds & our long term health if we don't make changes.

Jump in & join us on the daily threads- sometimes they get moving a little faster then others, but don't worry- we don't bite :D And if you fall off program, we're here to help you get back on track...we've all been there ourselves.

One more here wanting to welcome you to our little corner of 3Fc forum.
You are making a new beginning so keep a positive attitude and you will succeed.
Just because you struggled in the past.. doesn't mean you have to continue struggling. Make a DECISION to not cheat... NO MATTER WHAT !!!
Drink Lots and LOTS of water ... and get that body moving and you will be watching that scale go down down down. :highfive:
