Luan--how frustrating! Last time we went to the movie, I about freaked out because I thought my car had been towed. turned out we had just gone to the wrong level of the parking garage, but it was still a scare!

Julee--my sister is planning her wedding as well, and flowers is the one thing she has NO clue about! She has a friend whose mother is a florist, so they're going to get a great deal, but she has no idea what flowers, what colors, what size...:dizzy: I'm glad you're going about it sensibly and not FREAKING out about it like she does ;)

Valerie--congrats on the 22s! I hear ya on the FOREVER thing, though--I went from 310.5 to 270 pounds and still never went down a pants size...I wore 22s the whole time (and am still in 22s now that I'm back up to 280). I'm hoping that maybe by 250, I'll see some 20s :^:

Kayley--I hear you on the Hot Topic band shirts...I cringe every time I go in there and see Good Charlotte up on that wall :p

Well, I kicked my plan's butt again yesterday--left out the Campbelll's soup I had planned, so I only ended up with 1605 calories (and a lot less sodium!) even including the 12" Subway sandwich and 2 Subway cookies. It really is all about planning :D Tonight, Jeff and I are going to go see "When a Stranger Calls," so we'll probably go to Uno's for dinner since it's right by the theater and I won't feel like going home and cooking after being in the theater for 2 hours. Luckily, Uno's has all of their nutritional info on their website, so I can pick out a few options ahead of time that fit into my calorie range :)

Here's wishing everyone a GREAT start to your weekends!!

I'm not on for long, as I am REALLY tired. That is not unusual for Friday night. I had a nap after I came home from school and another one just a little while ago, so I may as well just head off to bed soon. Luckily I still fit in 40 mins of exercise between napping, so I don't feel too guilty.

These past three days with the kids haven't been too bad really. They have settled quite well and seem like a pretty sweet group. My girls are all going to be absolutely delightful I think, but the boys are still VERY talkative and there are a couple of really weak ones, who definitely need to work and not socialise as much. Hopefully that will just take a little more routine and probably some added maturity.

I had a real "Feel Good" day today. I wore my horizontal stripes dress, that I just love, because I would never have dreamt of buying it earlier. (You can see it on my pics page) Well... I had SO many comments from people about how great I looked. I had kids of all ages telling me I looked wonderful and how proud I should be. I even had a couple of students from about 10 years ago drop in after school and they couldn't believe the change and kept complimenting me. My head is VERY swollen at the moment - maybe THAT is why I'm having trouble holding it up.:D

Oh... have to mention a lovely moment yesterday when a little girl - knee high to a grasshopper, as my mum used to say - must have been about in grade 1 or 2 at most, told me "I'm so impressed with you. You have done a great job with losing weight". Obviously she has heard her mother use these words, but they sounded SO adorable coming out of such a little package.

I truly intend to spend some time over the weekend catching up on the news. I have been on here reading, but mostly skimming to try to get as much in as I can in the little time I have.

I hope you all have terrific ends to your weeks and are looking forward to a wonderful weekend.

Take care,

Zelma

Julee - Great! Maybe I'll find something...and when I grow out of some of my stuff (or rather, shrink out of it), I'll definately "spread the wealth"...lol!

Sharon - Ooooh! I wish you lived in the US, too! lol...especially with me going into my "skirt phase"...lol. I've been wearing them a lot lately. Which Manson shirt is it? :)

Luan - UGH! Not what you need, right? Don't go for anything sweet!

Jill - I KNOW! I can't wait for that type of music to go out of "style"...although, I know my music will never be popular, maybe they'll stock more of something I like. The last one I was able to knab was Velvet Acid Christ and KMFDM. Got the last ones in the 2X! I wish Torrid still sold clothes like that, but they've seem to have gone all "classy"...hehe. Congrats on staying below your amount! Feels good, doesn't it? It's probably getting easier, too! Have fun at the movies. We're finally going to see "Rent" tonight at the dollar theater...or was it tomorrow we're going? Either way, I'm excited.

Zelma - Fantastic! You must be just sitting on top of the world! You have done such a terriffic job, and I know maintaining will agree with you...you have the determination!

Well, I just got up...a little later than I'd hoped...but I'm going to go and work out here soon...as soon as Mom leaves, cuz then I can have my music up as loud as I want and not worry about it...hehe. She's not a big fan of it ;)

Good Morning all,

Today has not started off all to well, I have not seen any trouble on this group, nothen but good people here,, well you know how we do the threads every 30 entries or so,, well I decided to start a new thread on a group that had ove 70 entries,, shewwwww did one girl get upset, and pm'd me..... Man you could have floored me, So I am choosing not to go back to that forum,, is that common? that is not what I expected.........

kayleystar 02-03-2006 09:22 AM

MsCrockett - Which forum were you on? I've had a couple little "issues"...but nothing big. I went to the South Beach forums, and needless to say, I was the ONLY one over like 250 pounds in there. I asked questions, and was ignored. I tried to be friendly, and they were just....stuck up, shall I say? I don't know...maybe it's just me. But I tend to just stay on this forum, although, I've posted on Success stories a few times, because there are some great inspirations over there. I've also posted on the Depression board a couple of times as well. Hopefully you don't have another experience like that!

MsCrockett 02-03-2006 09:26 AM

Kayley: "In your 30's, No kids, Have 50-100 lbs to lose? a little crazy..

I copied and pasted the ones pm and responded to it.... dont really no if I should have or not.......odd how people can bum you out.. because now it is all I am thinking about,, I am really upset with this situation,....

kayleystar 02-03-2006 09:31 AM

Felicia - Great job on getting over you goal on the treadmill! I wish I could stay on there that long! But I'll build up to it! Maintaining is still great, especially if you are losing inches! But maybe you'll surprise yourself!

MsCrockett - Hmmm...well, I wouldn't worry TOO much about it! They don't deserve you on their board anyhow!

MsCrockett 02-03-2006 09:55 AM

I am pms'ing and I have a lot on my mind right now maybe I am just over reacting,, I am absolutely non tolerant of the situation on any given day,, Just perhaps could handle such kidish actions in a better way if there wasnt so much going on today.......... lol i think

Just popping in for a minute to say that I weighed in this morning and was down 3 for the week! Very cool - it would be nice to reach my first goal of 325 by the end of the month, but that might be pushing it. We'll just have to see.

Kayley - When I started exercising at the beginning of the January I could barely walk for 10 minutes straight. This past week I have spent 30 minutes every day on the treadmill - I can barely believe it. If you keep at it it will build, and fairly quickly. The one thing I have been very careful about is not overdoing it so that I am too tired or sore the next day to keep exercising. That was one of the things that I did in the past that was always very destructive.

I had a manual one once and I HATED it! They are usually cheaper, but for good reason. It was hard to get going, and was not like real walking to me--too much effort to make the belt go around. I would definitely suggest getting an electric if you can :^:

NotTheCheat 02-03-2006 10:22 AM

MsCrockett - On the starting the new tread thing, keeping threads to a minimum number seems to be somewhat unique to the 300+ sub forum. Each area seems to work in a slightly different way. My only suggestion would be to spend a bit more time getting to know the "cutlure" of each area. But definitely don't worry about it too much. The important thing to remember is why we are all here.

Lilion 02-03-2006 10:22 AM

Howdy Chickies!

Well, Lilion won't be saying much today. Tired, tired, tired! I seem to be stuck in TIRED! I would be excited about Saturday if I could sleep in, but I have doggy school at 9 a.m. 45 minutes from home...so I have to get up early tomorrow too!

Went out last night and threw WW right out the window! I was just STARVED all day...you know, one of those days when you just can't get enough food? Anyway, called up DH and told him I wanted lots of food and didn't want to cook! So we went to our favorite Mexican place. Two baskets of chips and a plate of fajitas later (we at least split one plate of fajitas between the two of us) I finally felt satisfied! I'd really been wanting to go there for some time so I think it was just TIME. I don't regret a single bite!

I'm all back on track today! Had my cheerios and banana breakfast and brought a low-point, very filling snack to work. I forgot my lunch...but that's really not such a big deal, I can go home or go get a salad.

Zelda: You impress lots of folks! I can't wait to have people impressed by me! :D

Kayley: What size do you need? I probably have some things...but I'm afraid I rummaged or donated most of my larger sizes already. (Besides-a lot were "old lady" things. ) Still, I do have a black velour shirt I just LOVE, but when I wore it last I realized I really need to get rid of it...My chest was the first to go and it just hangs on me. I think it's probably like a 24.

***I'll see what else I have to give away. Maybe we can all take photo's of our clothes and post them on a special thread and put them up for grabs?***

Mrs.Crockett: I know I haven't "spoken" with you yet...but don't feel bad about the other board. They all have their own rules I expect and I'm sure they didn't mean to make you feel bad. Some on-line groups get very cliquey. I go to the official WW site sometimes and there's some boards in their community that are just vicious to newcomers! Some people have nothing better to do than make themselves feel good by making other people feel bad.

NottheCheat: 3 lbs DOWN! You deserve a carrot! :carrot:

Well, got to run all! Onward and Downward! :D
