300+ And Ready To Try Again....#810
WELCOME !!!
We are a group of individuals who weigh or have weighed 300+, or near there. This group was formed to provide a place for others like us to find support and hope. We are aware of the distinct problems that come with weighing over 300 lbs. We want to invite everyone to join us in our journey. We share laughter and tears. We share what works for us and what doesn't. We often use a "Topic of the Day" for discussion. Motivational Monday Tuesday Tips Wednesday Wish List .. and What you are doing to obtain it. Thankful Thursday FUN Friday ... don't wait until you lose your weight. Sit-up Saturdays - any physical activity Share your Success Sunday These are not required topics ...just ideas to share. We often find them very helpful. We also share heartaches and fears ... joys and celebrations. We have several extra threads going on simutaneously such as Monthly Challenges, Weekly Weigh-ins, Recipes, Bios, and more. Please feel free to check them all out. We have found this thread to be more than just a support group... we have found it to become a home. We invite you to join us. WELCOME! I know you'll all agree that we are really thankful for the free services here at 3FC. The sisters offer all of this support and information with no charges to us. There are a couple of ways though that we can help out. If you are thinking about buying anything at Amazon, why not help out 3FC at the same time? You can do this by clicking on the button for Amazon on any page in the forum, or by clicking on the button on the main 3FC page at www.3fatchicks.com . A portion of your purchase price will be given to 3FC by Amazon. It doesn't increase your price at all, but it does help out 3FC. You can use any of the Amazon.com links that you see on the site in order to help contribute to the site. Also, BTW, in case you didn't know it, you can view the message boards "ad free" for a minimal charge. I think it's like $15 for 6 months. A very small investment to be rid of the annoying ads and make your pages load quicker. There have been some concerns expressed by the powers that be about copyright infringement. So please, if you are directly quoting someone else or printing an article in whole or in part, please give credit where credit is due!!!! |
Good lord--ya'll are posting so much and so fast that I missed an entire thread!! :dizzy:
I bought one of those big exercise balls last night--it says on the box that it holds up to 300 pounds...so there's a little incentive to make sure I stay well BELOW 300 now that I've crossed that line! Of course, I guess it doesn't matter much until I actually take it out of the box and inflate it anyway ;) |
Hi everyone~~
Okay, I'm back for a few minutes. :) My NSV wasn't really THAT much to rave about, but it shocked me because it was something I hadn't even thought of before. See, I never use my seatbelt because it squishes my stomach and it hurts. Well yesterday when I was leaving the house I noticed that my bf put his seatbelt on in his car. It got me to thinking  so what I did is I tried mine and I was able to get it on without hurting AND I was actually able to drive with it on. I was so excited because I haven't worn a seat belt in years. Catherine--it sounds like your wedding--and honeymoon ;) -- were simply wonderful. I'm so happy for you. :D I can't remember any of the other posts from that thread :(--nope--I lied. Sharon--(Neurotica)--I too weigh myself EVERY single day. For the same reasons as you. I'm sure that it wouldn't work for some people--but if I didn't weigh myself every day to keep myself accountable--I don't know how much weight I could have GAINED while on my plateau. So I'm with you girl--keep weighing yourself every day if you have to. Like you said--you have to do what works for you even if it doesn't work for other people. I also had to LOL about what you said about losing your nephews and niece. ;) You're right--when you look at it like that you can actually appreciate just how far you've come. ;) Keep up the good work. Jilly~~too funny about the ball. Good luck. I've got to go--my mother just rang the doorbell. Talk to you all later. Vicki |

OH GROOVY! I have a partner in crime! We'll get there darlin! I made a promise to myself when I started this journey. If at any time what I am doing stops working, I will find a better way rather than give up. So far, so good! And Jill-do tell how you get along with that ball thingy. I pass them by at Target and wonder how many windows I could blow out if I sat on one of them!:D |
ugh plateaus! Since I gained my weight at christmas, no matter how much I work out, or watch what I eat, it is NOT coming off... I expected to get rid of the new weight MUCH easier than I have been. It was only there for like 2 weeks! How comfortable fat can get in that short period of time! I know it is a matter of time before it "works" again, but man time can drag while you are waiting! I have been printing off motivational sayings all afternoon to try and perk up my spirits. I posted them on the fridge, in the gym, bathroom :) where ever needed :) Kind of having a down and out day so I hoisted my friend and we are going running tonight.
catherine ~ so happy to hear that your wedding and honeymoon went so well :) Sorry I didnt get a chance to post individuals today. I am having a party tomorrow night and need to get the house clean. It is one of those at home shopping party. Adult "things" and lingere. Maybe I will find something there to brighten my mood :o Shame on you all, I meant lingere :D Brenda  |
Good Evening All,
Well so far so good, no being naughty with my points. But it is only 9.30. You watch, I will be up til 2 am and will end up being too tempted. But one good thing is that I will be exercising in the morning. Actually, having all this chest pain from the trapped wind has scared me a bit. I know I am not having Angina or anything, but I am more susceptible to it at my weight. So it's that added scare incentive to not let myself over indulge tonight. If I get hungry I will just have to go to sleep, end of story. LAnne - It's interesting to hear your scales slavery. I HATE the scales, in fact if I could get away with never weighing I would. Once, many diets ago I did, as an experiment, weigh daily. The fluctuations were incredible. It's why I won't weigh weekly. I could weigh on Sunday and see myself down 3 lbs, and on Monday I could be up 4 lbs. I think I am safer weighing once a month, so that is what I do. Oh I still get the disappointment of not losing 8 lbs some times, but at least I should NEVER see a gain. Thanks for telling me about how you did the quote thing, I will try it out soon I am sure. Felicia - am I thick  I am not sure if you are serious about the lap top thing. People have done stranger things I am sure. Glad that you got your exercise in with or without reading the paper :D Thanks for being sorry for me that I have this indigestion. I still have it, I am so annoyed. I just watched a diet and fitness show that said that if you drink a glass of water with bicarbonate of soda then it will react by making you burp. I am sure this is trapped wind I have, so I drunk the stuff. Yuck. Am waiting now to see if it works. Lilion - you brought a smile to my face when I read how you were thinking about the 'next' time you got married  It's amazing what runs through your mind at the alter. I wonder how many people actually have second thoughts then and there. I didn't, but I wish I had with my first husband lol. Jill - good on you for buying one of those exercise balls. I have never fancied having a go one of those things, but they do seem to be the latest craze. I hope you will enjoy working out on it once you get it out of the box and inflated! Vicki - that IS a big NSV. You should be so proud of yourself. Not only are you losing the weight, BUT now you can be safe when you drive with your seat belt firmly clasped :cheer: :bravo: :carrot: Brenda - I am so sorry that you are on a diet plateau, it must be so frustrating. I have yet to be on a diet long enough to have it happen to me! Good for you for printing out all those motivational sayings, I hope they are helping. I hope the party will cheer you up too and that you can buy some pretty lingerie. Okie dokie, time to email again. I am determined to catch up tonight lol. Mind you ER is about to start so I might watch that first. Gotta love that show. Bye for now, Hugs, Ammi :grouphug: |
Hi Chickies!
I just wanted to stop in and say hello. I am having a weak day....I want to dig into whatever I can find!!! I want chips, chocolate, ANYTHING!!! But I am trying to stay strong and hoping that I am just having a bad day....The fact that I am cranky isn't helping either!!! I hope everyone else is doing well!!! Hugs! |
Hi
Hi  I'm lady hawke and I have a long journey ahead of me. I have 255 pounds to release. I am doing Atkins and am on my second day of induction.

Jill – I have been thinking I would try one of those balls, but I am definitely going to get one that is rated the highest possible weight. If there is a way for me to pop it, I will probably find it! I am so uncoordinated with things like that.
Vicki – Congrats on the seatbelt! I can wear mine, but only if I don’t have my winter coat on. I can’t wait until I can hop in the car with my coat and fit with the seatbelt. That’s one more way that losing weight could end up saving your life! Ammi – Hope you made it through the late night hours without too much naughtiness Butterflyns – Hang in there! IF you have any points/calories left for the day is there something that might sate you? Lady Hawke – Welcome! This is a great place to come for support. I was so happy to find a place where there are other women who understand the struggles of being 300+. I am stuck at work waiting for my boyfriend to pick me up. He has my car since his is in the shop. I am still not feeling so great, which is just making it worse. I haven’t been very hungry though the last couple of days and I am having a hard time getting water in because it hurts to swallow. Oh well. I just need to keep taking my meds and taking care of myself until I get better. One little trick that worked for me the other night while watching TV – artistic commentary. A commercial came on with ice cream in a glass and then Coke as poured over it. My initial reaction was instant cravings (which is of course what the ad is designed to do). I then stopped for a moment and thought – “Wow, that is really excellent food photography. I am impressed with how they were able to capture those bubbles so distinctly.” It was weird, but it took me out of just reacting to the commercial to analyzing it and the craving went away. |
No time for a really big catch-up today. It was a long day, as I got ONE hour of sleep last night, and I'm heading to bed early...it's only 8:30pm! Katie, I listen to Industrial, and some symphonic goth, and lots of the Industrial genre...always wanted to go to a rave, but I don't think I would fit in, even with my Kik clothes! ;) Ammi, I also listen to a LOT of 80's new wave...LOVE LOVE LOVE Gary Numan! I'm off to bed...AT LAST!

Tests Were Normal!
Hey Everyone!
Just a quick post to let you all know that my liver ultrasound and the bloodwork all came back normal!! :carrot: Thanks for all of your concern!! You guys are the best!!! Will post more later!! |
Kayley: Everyone fits in!
|
hey ladies. nothing exciting here to report today. just wanted to pop in and say hello
|
Good Morning All,
Well I did it!! I went to sleep at midnight and although I woke at 1 and 2 am to go to the loo, although I was tempted to go get something to eat. I didn't give in. I wasn't hungry, I would have only eaten out of habit. So I am well pleased. My first night staying totally OP. FINALLY :carrot: Today I have to go out and finally order my new bed, plus I need to pick up a few groceries. I am going to exercise in about 20 minutes and then I am going to WALK with Daren over to the bed shop. It's a dry day, so I have no excuse not to. Butterflyns - did you make it through the day without giving in to those temptaions to eat everything in sight? I often wonder what is going on in our subconcious that is telling us to pig out on some days and yet doesn't tell us on other days. If only we could find out what it was and switch it off then dieting would be SO much more easier. Don't feel too bad if you did allow yourself an extra treat or two. As we always say, forgive yourself and move on. Felicia - well now I am really impressed, I thought it difficult enough to keep a book in place to read when on the treadmill, but a lap top. that is really something. Now don't forget that photo you promised me. I think it's brilliant that you are finding such novel ways to keep yourself from being bored while exercising. I wonder what you will do today  And thank you, yes, over about half an hour the bicarb did the trick and I was able to get rid of that trapped wind. Now please don't go picturing big man sized burps lol, believe it or not I had 3 small burps. All that pain for just 3 little burps, it's just silly  Ladyhawk - hello and :welcome: to the group. I love your name on here by the way, very pretty. I know it seems so very overwhelming when you think about all the weight you have to lose, we are all in the same boat. My only bit of advice is to not look at the long term picture. Focus on small goals, and as you reach each small goal before you know it you will be that much closer to your ultimate one. Nancy - yes thank you I did make it through the night and with no extra eating; pretty pleased with myself I must say. You should have been in my head, I was talking myself into giving in and then talking myself out of it, and it was good that my good side actually won!! Hmmm, not sure if analyzing a commercial for something delicious will help me, but next time one comes on I will give it a go. I will let you know if it works :D I am sorry to hear you are still feeling so unwell. I know it hurts to swallow, but try to drink plenty, the last thing you need is to get dehydrated on top of everything else. Are hot drinks easier to drink, or icy ones? I find when I have a really bad throat sucking on ice lollies, sugar free of course helps a lot. I hope you will feel better soon. Kayley - why did you only get one hours sleep last night? You poor girl, I don't blame you for being too tired to write a long post. I hope you can catch up on your missed sleep soon. Oh and thank you, Gary Numan, a name I recognise  Brilliant singer, and loved him in the film The Fifth Element!! Lori - I am so happy and relieved to hear that your liver tests came back normal. I bet your life was kind of in limbo waiting to hear if there was bad news. Do they have any idea why your enzymes were high in the first place that warrented the extra tests?? How are those kids of yours, I hope they aren't driving you to distraction like mine have been these last couple of days  Katie - hmm everybody fits in huh, what about an oldie like me  I think I would feel like one of the gals from Ab Fab (do you get that show over there). The two main characters are women of a certain age who refuse to grow older gracefully lol. Luan - glad to see you posting, what are you doing work ways these days? What about finding a new cosmetology course, any joy? Velma - I hope you are just busy with your Canadian visitors and that you aren't unwell or anything. I miss your posts. Sharon (voodoo) - How is your son this morning, I hope things are much better since last night for him :D Will look for you this afternoon for a chat. Ok time to go exercise now. See you all later, Hugs, Ammi :grouphug: |
Hi Everyone!
This is going to take a while, because I have a lot of catching up to do. I have missed a couple of days, as we have been busy with out visitors. It has been wonderful to see my FIL and his wife again. The last time we saw them was 6 and a half years ago. They didn't recognise me at the airport, which was great, and they have had lots of compliments to give me since they arrived. I was a little concerned about TOM arriving so early this month, but it seems to have just been a 'trick' of my system. Nothing came of it, so I have another week of the scales sitting in the same place, or even going up, before TOM does show its ugly head. GGRRRRRRRR! We took our visitors to a beautiful Australian wildlife park yesterday and they got to feed and pat the kangaroos, hold a wombat and pat a koala. They had a lovely time. Today we walked around Fremantle, which is a major Western Australian port, for about 6 hours. We did the usual touristy things, and are now very tired. Tomorrow we plan to walk around the city, then Sunday we are off to the zoo. This is going to be a hectic last week and a half of my summer break. Ammi - Things are surprisingly pleasant, weather-wise, here at the moment. By now we are usually having some VERY warm days, and I was worried that our visitors would bake, but so far the temps have stuck between 80/90F, which is fine. Mind you, things will probably really warm up just as the kids go back to school. We usually manage to have to try to teach them in 100F+ temps. Thanks for the info on TOM. It doesn't seem to be relevant at the moment, but I am going to remember to not panic if things don't fit the routine I am expecting them to in the future. I hope you managed to get a good night's sleep. How come you managed to not get to sleep until 4am the night before? I would be falling asleep standing up if I wasn't in bed by then. Catherine - Thanks for the update on the wedding and honeymoon. It sounds as though things were just beautiful - including the bride. Do we get to see pics? It sounds as though your new hubby is going to be simply wonderful in supporting you with your new lifestyle. It certainly won't hurt him either. Other than losing TOO much weight - sad huh? - I'm sure my hubby is much healthier because of the new way we are eating. Kayley - You mentioned a Criminal Justice course you are doing. Is this part of a larger degree, or just something you are interested in? Katie - It is great to see you here. I'm really new here, but so far I have found everyone here to be so supportive. I'm getting much closer to my goal now, and find that I am needing more support than ever, but I still wish I had found this site at the start of my lifestyle changing journey. You are right - having a goal is certainly the first step. The night-time snacking was something I found hard to cut out, but it helped that DH and I just said one day that we would no longer bring 'rubbish' food into the house. Once the pantry was clear of junk, that was it! I would still have treats if we went out, but the temptation wasn't around the house. Good luck with your journey and I hope to see you posting here often. Luan - Congratulations on the weight loss! I can't wait to be able to post my next loss. At the moment, I wouldn't all be holding your breath for that one. I'm actually surprising myself by 'kinda' accepting the fact that these stalls and slight weight gains are hormonal and out of my control. They still depress me a little, but I'm getting better about it. Sharon - Sorry you are having problems with the kids. Can't be much fun - especially when your husband is not exactly being supportive. Perhaps he needs a good swift kick somewhere to wake him up to what you are having to do. Well, I'm sure I've missing some things, but I have to go get ready for my afternoon session on the exercise bike. I probably don't really have to do that after all the walking we did today, but it is so much a part of my daily routine that I would feel 'lost' if I didn't do it. Take care all and have a wonderful Friday, Zelma |
Zelma - so lovely to hear from you. It was brilliant hearing about all the places you have been going with your visitors. I lived in NSW for 16 years and I never even made it for a holiday to Perth. I got to Adelaide, Melbourne, Tasmania, Queensland and Broken Hill. I did look into going to Perth once, and believe it or not to get the Indian Pacific train return cost the same as a return flight to the UK. So I chose the latter  I never got to see Perth but I have had the joy of seeing some gorgeous places over here. But I digress, I think all that walking you are doing will certainly have you seeing a loss on the scales whether TOM is due or not. Fingers crossed.
As for why I was awake so late the other day, it's because I was either emailing, catching up on here, or chatting to my international friends. I was about ready to drop by the time I finally switched the computer off. Fortunately I have a lap top PC so I just sit in bed with it and then when I am ready to sleep I hand it to my hubby who is always on his computer. He sits at the bottom of the bed because our room is so small there is the bed, a small gap and then the PC desk lol. So anyway I give him the PC and then just turn over and go to sleep. Bliss :D Hope your exercise bike session went well and that you enjoy your days outing tomorrow. Hugs, Ammi :dizzy: |
Ammi - Congrats for staying OP, and definately for NOT eating in the middle of the night, out of habit! :hungry: I don't know why I haven't been able to sleep lately...but that had been about the 6th day in a row with less than 4 hours. Last night, I went to bed around 8:30pm, which is the earliest I've gone to bed in years! And I managed to sleep until 6am, :cloud9: so I'm getting my sleep schedule back on track...as I have to get up early most days. Hope you enjoyed your walk! :)
Ladyhawk Hello, and :welcome3: to the forum! Hope you are able to find the support you need here! :) Zelma - Right now, I'm working on my Associate's degrees (yeah, I'm getting two...lol) for Legal office and Medical office, and then once I have those, I'm transferring to Indiana University, to be in their Paralegal program. I originally wanted to be a lawyer, but I don't want to have to take the bar...lol. So this is about as close as I can get to lawyer without being one. :) I'm only in my second semester, so I have a while to go! Sounds like you are having a lot of fun! :) Enjoy your time off! |

Photos are coming, I promise. I left my scanner behind in St. Pete, and I was given two throw away cameras that are still in my backpack. One of the guys at the wedding was shooting digital, and he promised to burn them on a CD. He's an older guy, and probably is giving us space this week out of respect. I will give him a call. Someone did voice concern that the photos might not come out because of all the flashes and the mirrors. We shall see. He actually moans seductively when eating dinner, even when he eats it leftover for breakfast. This boy definitely likes my cooking. I'm going to have to explain that even healthy food eaten in large quantities isn't so good.

Thanks, FS72,sharon, Ammi and Zelma for your thoughts and kind words. Things are better today, TOM has gone, Gareth has 'been' and hubby is behaving, I don't know if it was hormones making me freak out or what but I'm ok now.:dizzy:
Glad your'e getting some sleep Kaley, like Ammi this garage/factory music means nothing to me, I'm into Led Zep, Fleetwood Mac and other rock stuff, though I like newer stuff like The White Stripes, Placebo and other Indie-type bands, oh and Eminem:love: , I LOVE his stuff. Catherine, so glad marriage is suiting both of you!!!! I hope you are as happy in ten, twenty or more years. :cloud9: Got to go and get some yoghurts out of the fridge for their afters. Gareth is ok now but I kept him off so if he needs to 'go' urgently he can, I don't want him having an 'accident' at school.:o best wishes from sharon.:grouphug: |
Jill: Let us know what you think of the ball. Two of the ladies at my WW meeting have them and love them, though they did say not to be too close to a wall when you sit on it as you can get a good bump on the head!
Vickie: Fantastic that you can wear a seatbelt now! I have received 3 tickets for not wearing mine and I was too embarrassed to go to the Doctor to get a note so I wouldn’t have to pay the fine. I now wear mine and even have 2 inches between my tummy and the steering wheel! Brenda: I read in a fitness magazine that a good way to break a plateau is to completely change the foods you are eating. So if you usually have cereal switch to yogurt or if you usually have a salad switch to a sandwich etc. Also change your exercise if you do aerobics do walking instead. They said if you do these changes for a week your plateau should end. Felicia: Can you come and get my house into shape like yours is? Wow it sounds like you have everything running so well! Ammi: Good for you! You must be feeling so strong today! Enjoy the walk, I know I am so happy I am finally able to walk without stopping to catch my breath every two minutes. Catherine: So glad you are are here and the weather is so nice for you! It is usually the coldest in January and February so you are really seeing an unusual sight with no snow and the warm temps. Look for ward to seeing the pics. As for me I have joined Spa Lady which is a gym for ladies only and had my first session yesterday! I was so pumped to get in there and get going it was quite a surprise to find that I am as weak as a newborn, lol. I thought I was getting in great shape with all my walking and I was barely able to get 10 minutes done on the eleptical machine and another 6 on the Treadmill! Then I had to start the strength circuit and what a giggle that was, all the machines on the lowest weight settings and I am working like I am lifting a 100 pounds. I am glad I know that it won't be too long before I start gaining some strength but I was surprised that I had lost everything I used to have. I am staying on program and eating very carefully so I can get the 2.8 off this week and get my 50 pound magnet next Tuesday. Then I will stop concentrating on the weight and get more focused on the exercise! I think I will test out one of those exercise balls at the club, I must admit I have been afraid to try one even though they say they are good for 300+ pounds. Everyone have a great day and Stay Strong! |
Howdy Chickies!
Not a lot of time today, but wanted to stop in. I may actually try to get some work done at work today! :p Ladyhawke: First, Welcome!!! Second, Is your name after the Rutger Hauer/Michelle Pfeiffer movie? I love that movie! I almost went with Isabeau as my medieval name (I'm in a couple of medieval recreation groups) because of that movie...instead I went with - Lilion! :D Finally, You'll really like it here I think! There are a lot of wonderful and inspiring women on this board. Catherine: Speaking of inspiring woman #1 :D I'm so glad you are happy and DH - isn't it cool, you can use DH now - loves your cooking! That he is so supportive is just wonderful! Zelma: Inspiring woman #2 :D I always like reading your posts. I was reading on the "What weight do you want to be" Poll and realized how very much you have done! You've lost more than you weigh! That is amazing! I can't even begin to imagine what it's like. Ammi: Good for you being OP! :carrot: Keep up the good work! Well, all you other inspiring ladies, I must run! Keep it up and get it down! :D |
Good Afteroon Friends,
I didn't get to walk over to the shops today, we decided we wanted to get back quickly, so we got a taxi there. We chose our bed and horray it isn't going to take a month for a delivery, just two weeks, so that's good news. We walked from there over to ASDA and then all around ASDA so I know I got a bit of walking in lol. Kayley - so glad to hear you got in an early night and slept all the way until the morning. I bet you felt like a spring chicken when you got up. Catherine - I am sure that out of all those cameras there will be at least one nice photo that hasn't been spoiled by the flashes and mirrors. Hopefully there will be many more especially from the guy who took pics with his digital camera. Fingers crossed. Sharon (voodoo) - yay I have heard of all those bands, we've even got Eminem's last album, I bought it for Daren for Christmas. Personally I am a big lover of 80s pop as is Daren, but he loves Kaiser Chiefs, Velvet Revolver, Snow Patrol and a whole heap of Kerrang bands I can't remember. It's funny though because he goes to the other extreme then and loves Opera, and musicals. We have quite a range of music choice in our house  Sheri - thank you, yes it's a wonderful feeling to be back in control. It really makes all the difference to my confidence that I can get this weight off. I know what you mean about getting a surprise at how weak you still are. When I first did my DVD exercise on Monday within 5 minutes I wanted to stop. I was sweating buckets and everything hurt. It was quite depressing. Happily today on my third attempt I didn't sweat too much :D That gym you have joined sounds wonderful, I would love to go to an all lady gym. I am sure before you know it those machines will be a piece of cake for you, but until then I am sure all the extra effort to use them will get you to shed that 2.8 lbs you need to get your 50 lbs lost magnet. Good luck. Lilion - Thanks for the :carrot: I definitely feel like that when I do good  Hope you have had a good day. Felicia - you will have to tell me how you enjoy using the Gazelle. I have seen that I can have one that takes my weight, and it's quite cheap too. I want one for my birthday in July, by then I hopefully will have lost a nice amount of weight and will need something new to exercise with. Right now I only do the salsasize DVD. I have a Richard Simmons one to do as well, but not for a while, it's too energetic for me  As for Leslie Sansone WATP, I have one of those tapes too, but it's the funniest walking I have ever seen, with lunges and skips to side etc etc  Thank you for your enthusiasm over my not eating last night. If I can do it once, I can do it again, and add up all those days and before you know it I'll be lbs lighter. Yay :carrot: Ok time for a quick chat with anybody on MSN or Yahoo lol. Take care and I'll be back  Hugs, Ammi :grouphug: |
It's been quite an interesting morning around here. After I had gotten up and done my morning ten-minute exercises and the like, I had to go get some prescriptions refilled. I had to restrain myself from laughing when the pharmacist asked, "Aren't you a bit young to be on some of this stuff?"
Now keep in mind I will be 44 two weeks from this coming Wednesday, and when I asked for the heck of it how old he thought I was, he said "About 30-32?":D I guess I must be doing something right... Another thing is that I had just had my first music review piece published on a site that I'd gotten an offer from to do such work not long ago, and he also wants me to review shows in my area as well. I have worked as a writer for some time, doing pieces in an array of subjects. Plus, getting creative keeps me the heck out of the kitchen! Here is hoping everyone has a great day and staying on OP...I know it isn't always the easiest thing to do, but the end result is always worth it! |
Well, ladies, I know I'm going to miss a bunch of posts, as I'm going for the weekend, and I know I won't be able to catch up...so wishing you all a great weekend! :)
