I was out of town for a few days and missed a lot of posts ,but just wanted to say WELCOME BACK AMMI!!!!!
|
Greetings old friends:hug: . I have been MIA for awhile, but you have been with me in my heart:love: .:bravo: Congrats to all the losers, maintainers and strugglers:strong: . Oh what a battle we have under taken. Cheers to us all:cp: .
I hadn't weighed myself for a few months due to:ink: ...well, lifes adventures:joker: . Well, today I desided to see where I need to start my new year and:fr: boy was I suprised. Not at all what I had excpected:dance: . I have lost 18 lbs since I last weighed. I am so pleased :balloons: I could just burst from joy instead of too much dinner.:hungry: ..lol. So my total weight loss since I began in earnest in April of 2005 is......drum roll......69 pounds of ewwie, gewie, yukkie, fat:rofl: . It feels slow :kickcan: coming off, but it has been in the right direction at least.:ginger: 2006 will prove to be even better yet!!! Miss Kayley:  I'm with you on the not being able to taste the goodies:cookie: . As soon as I take a bite of something sinnful, my mouth takes over and my brain shuts off:censored: . I do much better fighting my drool over something tasty than I do stopping myself once I give in. I also tend to continue to think about it after its all gone:shrug: . Like, hhmmm when can I do that again?? Bad, :nono: bad thinking. I tend to forget about it as soon as I'm away from it if I don't taste it:dz: . It can be super tough but, the flavor goes away WAY faster than the pound it leaves.:goodvibes HAPPY NEW YEAR AND RENEWED STRENGTH TO US ALL, MUCH JOY AND LOVE TO EVERYONE. |
Does anyone remember me?
Hello everyone,
I am hoping some of you remember me. I starting posting about a month ago and then just disapeared. I have had a really hard month and couldn't handle trying to lose weight too. My husband and I have benn trying to have a baby for about 8 years and I finally got pregnant, but was rushed to the hospital because of pain and they found out it was an eptopic pregnancy and they had to do surgery and remove the baby from my falopian tube. (I know I mispelled that) It has been really hard on my husband and I and I just couldn't try and lose weight at the same time as all this happening. I gained a little bit, but they said it was because of the pregnancy. Anyhow I hope everyone is doing good. I am hoping to be on here allot more now that I am sorta doing better. Angelia |
Greetings to all of the returners...you have been sorely missed. Catherine I am now DYING to see pics of your dress. I am going dress shopping over my birthday weekend in March with my stepmom, matron of honor, MIL to be and 2 of my bridesmaids. The truth is...I already found a dress I love (and I tried it on) and I am really doing this to humor them because they all want to be there so badly...plus it is an excuse to get my MOH and stepmom out here!
I am down 3.4 this week...I haven't posted my WIs for the last few weeks because things were screwy. But for the month of December I am down a net .6 lbs which I am really pleased with overall. So for the year I am down a total of 85.6 lbs...I have gone from a size 26 to a size 18 (regular not plus), a 42D bra to a 38D, size 10 shoes back to a 9 1/2, 2XL tops to a L, a new wardobe of super cute heels and boots that zip up and I'm engaged. All in all I am pleased with the year as a whole and am fuly motivated to stay on track for 2006. My current goal is to be down a total of 100 lbs. by my birthday, which is March 2...so I have the next 8 weeks or so to lose about 14 lbs. In the meanwhile...if I do not post again until after Saturday night...Happy and Healthy New Year to you all. Thank you for helping to make my 2005 meaningful and purposeful and for being amazing cheerleaders and confidantes. May the coming year be full of happiness, blessings, health and peace for us all. |
Angelia, I remember you, so sorry about the loss, have the docs worked out why it happened? A weight gain is pretty normal after the upset you and your body has suffered, don't feel guilty, we're all here for you.
Shadie, lovely to hear from you again, :cheer: its brilliant that you have lost, lots of kids to chase around has its positive aspects!!! Ammi, great to see you are back with us, I have not even tried to lose this last few days, I feel pretty vile, migraine again, and I will be back losing come Jan 1st. Will try & catch you on msn. Elmay, how did the celebrations go with two kids, was it fun?:joker: Got to go and tidy up and have lunch, hope you all have a great new year and a healthy, happy one.:newyear: sharon.:snowglo: |
Shadie - welcome back!!! And great job on losing 18 without even trying.
Angelia - I am so sorry for your loss. I can only imagine what you and your husband are going through. |
Wow, lots of people returning--add me to the list! I haven't been gone too too long, but I just got back from almost a week in CT with my family, so here I am! I am up in weight from the holidays, but I am still down at least 30 pounds from this time last year, so all was not in vain!

Welcome back, everyone!
I had a great Christmas with the kids. Ayana (10 y/o niece) and Andre (3 y/o grandson) were so fun to watch. We hid Andre's bike behind his other presents -- he didn't see it at first, and then Anthony (18 y/o stepson) pointed it out to him. He almost knocked the tree over trying to get to it :). It was very cute. Ayana got a Nintendo DS with Nintendogs. She's been assiduously traning her Chiauaua (sp?) since. All in all, one of the best Christmases I've ever had. Food wasn't too hard since I did most of the shopping and cooking :D. I love the Cooking Light magazine and website. Jill, congrats on being 30# down for a whole year! I think keeping it off is the real measure of success -- WTG! Julee, you have had an awesome year as well! 86 pounds -- wow! I would love to shop in the regular section instead of the "women's" section -- looking forward to that :). Hope the dress shopping goes well :). Angelia, I am so sorry for your loss. Shadie, congrats on your 18# recent loss and 69# overall loss -- that is great! I hope life's adventures calm down and that 2006 is a great year. Andrea, congratulations on getting into the nursing program! And, it is good to hear that you've got one unblocked tube -- here's hoping for a brother or sister for your little guy :). Have a good day all! |
Elmay--I know what you mean about the Nintendog...my son got one and he got the Dachshund one and he has been training his little beagle...that game really is cute.
Julee--Congrats on another loss!! That is awesome especially during the holidays. Angelia--I am so sorry for your loss. I am going through infertility problems right now and I know it had to be hard on you. Well off to pack for my trip. I am going to see my best friend in Lexington, KY tomorrow and will be returning on Tuesday. Happy New Year to you all. Andrea :) |
