Brenda, glad the money came through, I hope you enjoy your new furniture!!
Dogpal, after all the cr*p you have been through I really hope you get what you want for christmas, I always used to 'peep' at my pressies as I'm so funny about stuff, just in case I hated it, I was prepared and could pretend I did like it. Poor hubby lets me pick what I want, there's no point in buying something that the person doesn't like, its a waste of money, I am very good at watching family to see what they like, I hope:rofl: Kaleystar, you are the same age as my son, born 10 Dec '86, don't let that put you off though, :joker: we are all trying for the same goals, health and a 'normal' size/weight. Elmay, I know what you mean but our minds can play so many tricks on us, remember these people notice because they like you, if no one notices, no one cares!!!! be glad that you are liked, noticed and getting healthier. If you keep saying it your brain might accept it, mine has, eventually!!! Kristy and tea honey, hope you are getting better:hug:, tea I bet it's those damn hormones making you eat cr*p :tantrum: it always gets to me, but I want cream horns or chocs! I spoke to Ammi on msn, she's busy and getting ready for santa and feeling a bit better. bye for now, sharon.:grouphug: |
Just a quick note since I've got to get to the airport to pick up my niece before the freezing rain rolls in....
Thanks for the encouragement everyone -- I know there are a lot of funny thoughts in my head -- fortunately I learned a while ago that others have similar kinds of thoughts and that sharing them helps. I appreciate everything you all have said. I'm doing pretty well with Andre although the house looks like a tornado hit it :). We have a tree and it is a stand with water, but not yet decorated. That's this evening's activity. Have a good day all! |
Christmas is getting closer, ladies!
Are you dreading the upcoming food rush yet? :hun: Don't worry - we can all make it through this together!! :tree: :ginger: :clause: |
I would never let something like AGE bother me...nada! :)
What are you all going to do about the Christmas dinners and such? I just plan to take my own food, since I don't wanna break the diet, even for a day...once I drop my weight, then MAYBE I'll eat some honey ham! It wouldn't be so bad if it was Thanksgiving, because my Aunt cooks turkey of course...but Christmas, she demands HAM! Thank you all for welcoming me...I feel very much at home already! |
Kaley I think most of us are just not eating fatty or high carb stuff or just having the day (or a couple of days) off.
I have to have an op this afternoon so I won't be around for a couple of days (see dec exercise thread for details if you're interested) but I hope everyone has a final push, diet-wise to lose those last few pound before christmas. best wishes and HAPPY CHRISTMAS xxx sharon |
hey ladies. just checking in. things are good here. working hard to get organized on a movie im working on. its an independant film, but its work - too bad its not paid.. lol. its fun tho, and unemployment pays the bills til i get paying work. im also going back to school in the spring, so im not in any real rush to get back to work. its nice being off :)
Elmay - i hear ya on the %LBM. ive always been very active. in fact if you look at my legs you can see where the muscle ends and the fat is over the top. its really gross, because if nothing else, ive always had lean muscular legs - i was softball catcher for 9 years.. tasha - you know, i never thought of it either. i based my weight goal of 165 on what the top weight class is for a woman of my height (5'9"). when my trainer told me that was too much i was really shocked. so heres a question... how do you feel about the Diet Tea (whichever one) I use it once or twice a month depending on how im feeling. its nice to clean things out, and if you feel like you arent losing, it gets things moving. i find i lose about a pound or 2 from it. any thoughts? |
Woohoo, Christmas is officially less than a week away! :coolsnow: :tree: I only have to work 3 days this week--Wednesday, we are going to Jeff's cousins' house (where he lived before we moved in together in October) to have dinner and exchange gifts since we will be in CT for Christmas, and we're spending the night there since they live about 15 minutes from the airport, and our flight leaves at 8:35am on Thursday morning. Then off to see my friends and family in CT--I haven't been up there since LAST Thanksgiving, so it'll be nice to see everyone :D
I hope everyone who's been sick is better in time for any holiday celebrations this weekend. Congrats to all who are still losing in this hectic holiday season (unlike me--I'm just trying not to GAIN any more!). |
Hello! Thought I would just check in, all excited for Christmas, it seems I am now going to the works party.... me and my BIG gob! :) so have to go clothes shopping tomorrow to take a peep see if I can find anything...

Diet tea? Please enilghten me on this one...
I am feeling so awfully out of control. I was at a holiday party on Friday night and had come from dinner..so I was feeling full...until after the gift exchange when everyone went over to the food table and I could not stop putting things in my mouth. I kept telling myself...oh it's just a little...it's no big deal...but a little of everything IS a BIG DEAL. We finally left but I was so upset, especially since my last few WIs have not made me happy. Sunday I was at another party...much better control there because there were less temptations there, but I am beyond frustrated with myself. I did have a few NSVs over the weekend, but for me right now, it's really about the scale and regaining control in that realm. What I have realized though is that it is time for me to get exercise into my regimen. I want to just get moving again for at least 30 minutes a day...anything is a good start. I think I want to get an exercise ball as well and I need to find a good routine to tone up my arms. I really do not want to wear a long sleeved wedding dress and I really really do not want there to be saggy baggy stuff in my photos. Ok...starting over again today...please let the holidays end soon! |

I'm new and not sure !
Hi, I am new, I just posted under another topic and found the 300 plus site. I started to diet in early November at my highest weight which was 334. I am now at 316 and go to weigh in again today. I would love to chat, share my ideas and learn from others:carrot:
|
Just a quick :welcome2: I've got to run to another doctors appointment, but I'm sure some of the other ladies will be along shortly. :carrot:

Welcome Tinkerbear! Feel free to join us in the 300+ numbered thread. We chat about a lot of things...
Also, we have an exercise thread-- check it out! BTW, you said you are "not sure" -- what are you not sure about? |
Julee (and anyone else) -- feel free to join us in the december exercise thread. You don't have to wait for the start of the month to begin! Just start exercising and post your numbers (we're counting a group total and are over 4000 group minutes of exercise!)

Welcome Tinkerbear. I'm pretty new myself, but have found a lot of support and information here. Congratulations on your loss to date!
