Sue marie, I also taught 7-11 year-olds, my specialism was eng, creative writing. I gave up half way through a four year teaching degree. As well as major and minor subs. we had professional studies (how to teach & behave with kids) how to teach each subject and teaching practices in local schools :dizzy: . I loved the kids but hated the 'miss' title, I hate formalities, kids respect you for who you are, calling you by your first name should'nt lose their respect, neither should wearing a nose- ring(I had to remove it, even though it looks tidy and I've worn it for over twenty years!). I went back eventually and graduated with an Eng. lit degree, I will teach adult literacy when the boys are a bit older. Do you teach at all in your course? It was what kept me sticking with it so long before quitting.

Pj, hope you are feeling ok, I did'nt realise your kids were prems. were they very early? I hope you are keeping it up, no matter what sh*t we get from our children, even when they are pains/ill/naughty/not'normal' are still blessings :angel: (hope that does'nt sound too cheesy) having gareth being diagnosed for a while I find it easier to acept now, even though I still have a cry as you don't know how they will develop & how they will cope with life, they really are special, treasure those cuddles & tears.

Still not exercising, feel all vile & achey, :tired: nose is runing so bad I felt like pushing a tamp*n up my nostril! not done any houdework for two days, it looks a tip, got class this afternoon, have to go, its only a ten week course.
