I hope you are able to take some time for yourself!! 50+ hours is a lot!! I think it is wonderful that you are organizing a drive for the Katrina survivors. I am planning on doing one at my daughter's school but am waiting until next week to set things up since they are just starting back to school this week! Anyway, God Bless you! {{HUGS}} PJ |
Ammi
Hi Ammi, PJ again to bother you!! LOL How old are your girls? I can't wait for my one daughter to go back to school! She is bored now! I am ready to let her go back!!
As for the house work, that is great! I too use housework many times as my exercise for the day. I am usually dripping with sweat after I am finished. Did I say finished? I am never finished! There is always more to be done!! ARGH!! Good luck with the bunk beds. I can't wait to get bunk beds for my kids. There will be so much more room for them all! How old were your girls when you got the bunk beds? Thanks! PJ |
Sharon
Great job getting some of that old exercise tape done! Must have felt great! Isn't it fun trying to wash the floors with little ones underfoot?? I can never get it dry enough fast enough so they don't all wipe out! OY!! Never lasts very long either, clean that is anyway! LOL PJ |
Jill

Happy Birthday fabulous Chicks!
Well..last week's gain became this week's loss...down 3.4 tonight for a total loss of 67.1. I am 5 lbs. away from my driver's license and yesterday 2 people told me that my butt looks great in my jeans! I got a great pair of boot-cut, semi low rise jeans that I wore with heels (yes, heels...with the pointy toes and everything) and I confess..I felt damn sexy. It was such a great feeling...I honestly do not remember the lsat time I felt that way. Then tonight I found 2 stunning skirts at Target and the XXL was too big, so tomorrow morning I am going back for the XL instead. Food is good..water is good...exercise is non-existent...but it's OK. Busy weekend ahead, but I wil get to spend time with my friend Sarah who has ben practically living in a cave these last few weeks. Hope you all are well... |
Julee, I too tried on some new clothes yesterday, some low(ish) rise jeans in a UK size 20 and they zipped up easily! it gave me such a lift and it made me even more determined to lose more weight and to carry on with the exercise. It's (almost) as good as sex, getting into a smaller size in clothes, especially if you try on several and they ALL fit you! Weigh in in a couple of hours, hope it shows on the scales too!
Ammi, hope your skin heals, you deserve some good things to happen to you, I am really hoping it all goes well for you. PJ I'm glad you're back, I wondered if you were going through a bad patch, but with kids and a house to care for it's hard to find the time. regards, sharon |
Good Morning Ladies!
Julee: Good work on the loss! :bravo: And on the smaller clothes. You must have been honest at some point on your driver's license...mine's said 190 since I was 19! (Yeah, like the guy at the DMV really thought my 300 lb butt weighed 190. :p ) My total goal is the weigh what my DL says! Voodoo: Good for you on the size 20's. I have one pair I've had forever that I got into recently...feels grrreatt! :D I'm beginning to think that "cheating" is good for me. The scale showed a significant drop this morning. Guess we'll see tomorrow when I do the "official" WI. When I was being very OP and going to the Y I plateaued...start going to the Olive Garden and sitting on my butt and I lose...go figure. :?: Later Ladies - |
Julee
AWESOME job on turning it around from last week!! I bet you do look hot in jeans!! Good for you! Keep those pounds coming down!! Is your drivers license weight your goalweight or just a goal? {{HUGS}} PJ |
Sharon
HOORAY for you and your size 20s!! You must feel fabulous and look it too!! I can'tw ait until I fit into my old jeans again! I found a few weeks ago size 18 and 16 jeans that are still with the tags on them!! Hopefully I will be ripping those tags off soon!! I am OK. Not really in a rough patch. Things were hectic as they often are, but I remained on track for the most part which in itsself is a success! Kids are all ok. Hubby left for work yesterday, he works away a week at a time, car was in the shop for minor things and cost me almost $900, all 4 of my kids rebelling a dn not falling asleep until after 930, my mom came by for her weekly, hour long visit with not much notice on Tuesday and of course at a bad time and she had the nerve to say that she feels bad for me that I have it so rough!!! What the heck?!?!?! Whose house is not a bit crazy with 4 kids 5 and under, therapists in and out fo your house 5 days a week, an 81 year old blind man, and ME?!?!? I jsut said to her that I have it all as long as I am not like those poor people who survived the hurricane. The nerve! OK sorry for that long vent...... Wow I guess my mom really does bother me!! I am glad that I didn't internalize it and feed my face! I did have mcD's for dinner eysterday but had one of their grilled chicken sandwiches and removed the bacon and split the fries with my kids. I think all in all I did well! Thanks for reading!! Hope everyone is having a great day!! {{HUGS}} PJ |
Stupid Question
Ok this may be a stupid question, but I have read that many of youa re striving for your license weight. Now here is the stupid part. Do your licenses actually have your weight on them?? Mine doesn't! Just height and eye color! That is just wrong!!

Hello All,
Thursday morning, and another hours housework AKA Ammi's exercise lol has been achieved. Today I washed down all the upstair doors and door frames, and also washed the front door externally. It's amazing how long it all took. And although I didn't sweat too much, I am sure all that wiping motion is a good toning exercise for my arms :) Tomorrow I have the fun of cleaning the downstairs doors. Then nothing over the weekend coz the kids are home, and then on Monday it's bathroom cleaning day lol. I really feel great getting the house spic and span and knowing it's helping me lose weight too :D PJ - the surgery I had initially in 2003 was I had my bowel removed and an ileostomy formed. I suffered terribly with Ulcerative Colitis and my bowel started to tear, so it was emergency surgery. The following year I had to have my rectum removed and butt sewn shut, yep I have a Barbie butt LOL. After that surgery I ended up getting an abscess and fistula internally, so the January surgery was to have muscle taken from my thighs and to have it used to fill the fistula (posh word for a hole lol). I am mainly recovering from that surgery but it all links back to having the ostomy, so that is why I referred to being glad that I had it done. Thank you for your wishes that I fully heal soon. As for the girls, my daughter is 14, and my step daughter will be 14 in November. I got them the bunks when they were 12. I figure they aren't considered childish things anymore especially as they make bunk beds for adults now. OK so there is no bottom bed, but the top bed is a double one, and underneath that you can put furniture. Ideal if you have a small room. I hope your kids will love their bunks and don't fight over who gets the top one :) The recipe for cauliflower cheese is really simple, boil up a cauliflower. Then you take a pint of semi skimmed milk, use a small amount of it with 25 gms of cornflour and make it into a paste. Boil up the rest of the milk, then take it off the heat to add the cornflour mix. Stir all the time to make sure lumps don't form, then put it back on the heat. Then you mix in 100 gms of low fat red leicester (or cheddar) cheese. Stir til it all melts and then pour over the cauliflower. I then put it under the grill to brown. Depending on how much cauli you use you can spread the meal over 2 days. That's what I do, and it works out 6.5 points per serving. The recipe actually says to fry onion and mushrooms in a tablespoon of olive oil, and add that to the cauli as well, but I wasn't too keen on that :) Lilion - great job on the weight loss, :cp: just got to get that official weigh in result now. I think the odd treat is a good way of helping a plateau get shifted because it must put a fire under your metabolism when you all of a sudden start to eat differently to your usual. Sharon - thanks, I hope my wound will heal too, especially before October. I will hate it if I do have to have more surgery. Especially as twice out of my three surgeries I have ended up with MRSA, and it is still rife in the hospital with patients getting it more and more rather than less and less!! That's great you tried on some size 20 jeans and that they fit, what a great moment. I will be thrilled when I fit into something size 20 +, rather than 30 +. Do you watch Kath and Kim the Aussie show? Every time I hear somebody talk about low rise jeans I think of a scene where Kim says she loves low rise bumsters, and then they show her with jeans so low, much lower than they are meant to be, that they show the crack of her bum, and she isn't slim, so the fat hangs over the top lol. It's so funny. Julee - tha't s fantastic weight loss this week, I am sure it won't take you long to lose that next 5 lbs taking you to your drivers licence weight. What a celebration that will be huh!! :dancer: Well take care all and happy dieting:) Hugs, Ammi |
LOL PJ--I agree...licenses shouldn't have the weight on them anyway! Mine never did (in either CT or VA); just height and eye color. I suppose, actually, it might make sense, since I have actually been out with a friend who lost a lot of weight and people questioned whether her ID was really hers or not because the picture loked so different. I guess if her higher weight was there, it would be easier to explain that, hey, she doesn't weigh over 200 pounds anymore (she got down to like 125), so yeah, the picture looks different! I think if I lose that much weight, though, I will just get a new license with a new photo--it's only like 20 bucks for a replacement (I know--I've had to get plenty of new ones over the past few years for address changes, and I'll have to get another new one next month!).
I had a very poor choice for breakfast this morning--planned on only getting eggs at the cafeteria (got up too late to have anything at home), but instead I got eggs, a sausage patty, a biscuit (no butter), and a low-fat Nesquik chocolate milk. However, it seems to at least be holding me well, as I am still not even the slightest bit hungry, whereas I am usually hungry again by about 9am (it's now 10:30). Well, I managed to minimize my horrid weekend of eating from a 6-pound gain to only a 2-pound gain as of this morning. We'll see what the o-holy TOPS scale says later tonight, though... |
Jill - that is fantastic that you worked hard at lessening the gain you had and it's now down to 2 lbs, you must really be happy with that :cb:
PJ - wow I didn't realise all that your life involves, it makes it even more special that you are able to control the comfort eating and are losing weight. Well done :bravo: Hugs, Ammi |
