Oh my gosh,
Terri, you HAVE been gone from the site for awhile. Those smilies have been around for a bit.
Judy: Half hour lunches SUCK! That's what I used to get when I worked a "real" job at the supermarket. I think that contributes to weight and mental health problems as well. Employees should be able to leave the work environment for lunch so that they can de-stress and rejuvenate themselves for the rest of the work day. Ok
done. Have you seen/tried the individual tuna salads and seafood salads? I think they're from Bumble Bee. They have a little can with the salad in it and then a foil wrapped package of crackers (6, I think) with a little plastic spoon even. They're usually found in the tuna aisle of the grocery. You have to read the labels because they do have one version that is not made with a lite or fat free mayo, but the ones that are mixed right are like 2-3 WW points per package. They're great because they don't need to be refrigerated so they would keep in your desk drawer.
Grocery shopping went well although I was MELTING!!! I managed one store and then came home and cooled off before going to the second. I got a seedless watermelon, a couple of cantelopes, a couple bags of salad and a bag of cherries. Oh my are they good!
I have also come to the conclusion that we are eating out far too much! Not just for the nutritional aspects, but the $$$ too. Alot of it is jobs, but we have seriously been eating out alot without it being a job and that gets really costly. I'll stick with job eating, but we're going to cut out all of the "extra" eating out that we do.
Unfortuneately, I'm still into quick and easy so I picked up some Lean Cuisine Skillet Meals and some other brand as well. I made selections that were under 200 per serving and low in fat grams as well. And of course I have to pick the ones that don't have broccoli in them because I have two picky icky eaters here that won't touch the stuff.
All in all I did pretty well. Some low fat snacks for the boys (well, ok, and me too
) and some meal choices as well. The first store I went to I just had some refrigerator stuff and pantry items so I came home and put that all away. The second store was big time frozen so I timed it so that the "baby" would be home to lug all that stuff downstairs for me. That worked out real well.
Well, Honey is watching some dumb show (Overhaulin') on TV which forced me back into my office.
But I think I'm going to head upstairs and lay in bed. Tonight I'm freezing, go figure!
I guess I have discovered that my thermostat is truly broken.
Take care all. Talk to you later. Love
ya bunches!
