Good morning :)

The snowflakes are still falling around me. :) Maybe I'm getting into this challenge because of the lack of real snow around here?

Snowmen fall to earth unassembled ...

Good morning friends.
I am finally getting somewhat back to normal.
I have been pretty self consumed since our friends death.
I am sorry that it has taken me so long to get back in the swing of things.

CD... did you come up with that image yet?
Whatever you can come up with will be great.

My original intention was for us to "build" snowmen/snowomen.
I found a cute little sticker thingy at a scrapbook store.
It said... "Snowmen fall to earth unassembled"
I thought I would make the theme being "BUILD our new selves" just like we build a snowman. WE would start off with a clean slate... a clean field of snow. Shiney, clean, bright and no flaws. Then we would build a new lifestyle, a new body, a new way of living and eating. Then decorate our new bodies.

You were going to earn hats, corn cob pipes, scarves, eyes, nose, etc. LOL
The three buttons on your shirts were earned by eating 3 servings of fruits and vegetables. One button for each serving.
So much for my ideas.... I needed more ACTION on my part. LOL
I am sorry I fell apart this month. I will be on target for February.

When Terri started it with snowflakes.. then I thought about how we could fill in a snowman with the snowflakes. Or .. we could roll up the snowflakes into the balls to make a big snowman and use the bonuses to decorate him.

Then I saw Barbg's cute little snowflakes and thought we could just do like we did with Santa last month. Just list the snowflakes on the right and the drips on the left.

These were just ideas.
CD ... we can use your artistic ideas here. ;)

I certainly need to get back to the basics again.
I need that visual aide of a picture of some sort.

Barbg...I need your cute little Snowman pictures smiling back at me. :D
I need the visual aid and the ACT of writing my accomplishments down.
I think maybe eliminating the negative drips and just marking our POSITIVE accomplishments. :D
I know next month I plan on doing that. FOCUS ON THE POSITIVE !!!

The only positive I have been doing as of lately is journalling.
I am drinking about 40 oz of water... but not the total 64.
I am improving my food daily. But tonight I caved for a piece of cheesecake.
And we won't discuss my exercise... yet.

I may be starting collecting my snowflakes a week late.... But I am going to have enough snowflakes at the end of this month to make a BEAUTIFUL SNOW ANGEL. and a snowman.

I will be back at the end of Friday to report how I did.
Hope to find a few snowman pics when I come in. :crossed: ...
... and a few others posting their accomplishments too.

It is never to late to start AGAIN.
Snowmen are suppose to come unassembled. And each and every snowman looks a little different. Let's all get building on our successes and our snowmen.

:lol3: Love the pic Barb!

Just a reminder to read the bonus points section. There's still one week left of the 2x2 challenge where you can earn two points by losing two pounds or more. Its not too late!

Terri in MO 01-14-2005 07:56 AM

Is anyone still working on the snowflake challenge? Remember, its not about winning or losing the challenge, its about focusing on changing your lifestyle.

I've done well with food, water, and tracking. Just haven't done the best at exercise. I've let other factors keep me from making my goal. Need to work on that.

ageoldie 01-14-2005 08:42 AM

TO YOU it may not be about winning or loosing, but you have never received one of 2cute's prizes, Right Leanne

Seriously though, I decided that I'll post my results weekly on Sunday nights.

2cute2Bfat 01-14-2005 12:32 PM

  I am glad you enjoyed your prize Barbg
Leanne should have hers by now. Mailing to Australia takes much longer. But I sent it the fastest way. The slow way would take 4-6 WEEKS !!!!! I mailed it to arrive in 4-7 days and that was over a week ago.
I think Leannes was funnier than yours.

I will try to add my snowflakes and post them Sunday too. But I won't have many... I was a late bloomer on this challenge. LOL I need to go re-read the bonus section to see if I can help myself make up some points there. LOL

I "hope" to finish up Februarys challenge Sunday too. :crossed:

hippygoddess 01-14-2005 03:39 PM

I haven't received it yet but maybe the mail was slowed down by the christmas/new year break ... maybe it will arrive Monday!
This challenge has been a bit of a wipeout for me because I have been so ill over the last week. Hard to stay on plan when I can't eat anything but water, and hard to have enough water when I have to sip it or it makes me ill. I haven't been exercising either (because I've been flat on my back) or journalling. I promise when I feel better I will get back to all of it! Its now been a week, and I managed a dry cracker last night ... it tasted so good! I have to say, its going to suck not being able to eat any birthday cake today :(
I will definitely be in February's challenge though :)

Good evening/morning.
I figured it was PAST TIME for me to look back over this month and see where I stand on this challenge. I miss my picture /worksheet to keep a daily record in one place. I had to go back and re-read in my journal. It is a good thing I at least journaled almost everyday. LOL

Here are my results so far .....

FOOD 9 snowflakes
WATER 4 snowflakes
EXERCISE a bowl of water
JOURNAL 14 snowflakes

Grand Total ....27 Snowflakes

My journal saved my butt. It was an eye opener to go back and read how I threw away a couple of days of food snowflakes for one stupid food.
I am still satisfied with most of my food choices. I never binged or stuff my face or anything... just made some poor choices a few times and ate too much a few times.

I did not always get in my 64 oz of water ... but I did usually get in at least 40oz. I couldn't collect a snowflake.. but I did improve my habit.

And I am embarrassed to admit I did not exercise a single time. :o
I KNOW from my past...I KNOW from everything I read ... and most important.. I KNOW from all of your SUCCESS stories... EXERCISE IS A MUST for me.
I go and read in other sites and threads and see it over and over again. EXERCISE !!!!

Okay... my second half of this challenge is going to be better than the first. :D
