Pat yourself on the back!
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Tell everyone what you did today to get yourself that much closer to your goal. *Exercise? *Try a new vegetable? *Turn down the Krispy Kremes at the office? Any positive steps that you have taken...let's hear about it! This is NOT the place to confess your sins or make excuses! We only want to hear about the GOOD STUFF! ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ |
Okay, I'll start...since I'm up anyway. Do you see what time it is? I want to be at the gym when it opens, (5:30) so I can get my exercise done before my son even gets up for school. My bags are packed and I'm ready to go.
Oh yeah, AND I've been totally OP for two days! |
Can I count yesterday?
I did pilates - two workouts horseback riding bike riding - 30 minutes walked the dog - 25 minutes This morning, I just finished: pilates - two workouts Got my lunch packed and meals planned for an OP day! |
Of COURSE you can count yesterday! Sounds like a very active day!
I went to the gym, 30 minutes on the treadmil, 20 of them HARD, and 15 minutes on the upper body machines. |
Let me just pull this up to the top so that everyone sees it!
HI, MERRICK!!! I'M OVER HERE!!!! |
I said NO!!!
:smug:
2 different times today people came around after school with leftover food from meetings during the day, sandwiches, brownies, cookies...I drooled, argued with myself, tried rationalization, tried the "just one bite" logic, but in the end, knowing just one bite works for spinach but not for much else... I said NO!!! And went to get a diet soda and ate my string cheese for a snack. Whooo oooh!! |
Tonights activity was horseback riding. Nothing strenous but it was activity. All the running back and forth to get stuff out and then put it all back.
Food was good! |
Great job, Chris! Such fortitude! Cherish that feeling of accomplishment!
|
My biggie was throwing away the chocolate cake, but I also only ate 3 sensible meal, no snacks and NO SUGAR!!!
Exercise was 1 1/2 mile walk and 1 hour advanced water aerobics. |
I had a great session at the gym tonight --- met with a personal trainer for a consultation, did 20 min on the eliptical, 1 hour deep water aerobics class and then 20 min of lap swimming. I am tired! :faint: But, I feel great about my physical accomplishments today. :D
|
I exercised 25 minutes with the physical therapist this morning. Also, I stayed OP all day long. :)
Andria |
I have started to measure out my portions. Yesterday I had a big salad for lunch with a serving of broccoli and cauliflower and 2 oz of :chicken: . I spent part of the day Sunday measuring out all the :chicken: my :chef: cooked up for me. I individually wrapped them up and put them in the freezer. Last night I refused to go to Red Lobster for the Shrimp Fest. Boy was that a hard one, but I did it.
that's it for now. Skittles |
Lots of good things happening here! I'm so proud of all of you! ...all of US!
I took the stairs, instead of the elevator, all night long at work. I came in 6 points under my limit yesterday. |
I snuck a peek on the scale this morning and was down to 298...out of the 300's!! Hope to be in the upper 80's by end of this month. Finding it amazingly easy to stay on track!
|
Hey I found you'll
I am so proud of everyone, at this rate you'll will be too skinny very soon. :D
it is the little things that count and make the biggest difference. :D :D Well lets see, my accomplishments for the past two days, I have been watching very closely what I eat. I am writing it down now and adding up my points. I wore my pedometer yesterday and walked little more than a mile. And today, I made it around the HS track 5 times, up from 4X last week. I walk the track while my son practices football, 3X a week. I plan on doing one set of my resistance tubes, And I AM going to sit done tonight and write up my plan for exercise, cooking, and cleaning my house. I am going to schedule it and make it a point to look at my planner everyday. I love this place, everyone is so wonderful..... thanks  |
I followed the 301 plan again today, and a 1 hour water walking class.
|
Hey Barb what is the 301 plan? I am always interested in learning about new eating plans.
|
Congratualations to everyone on their accomplishments!!!
Today I went to the gym, which may not sound like much to anyone else but was a BIG step for me. I was scared to death!! I don't know why it scared me, but it really did. I got all the way there and saw this really cute guy walking up to the door, and just about turned around and went back home, or went to the park to walk there. I guess I am proud of myself because I am going outside of my "comfort zone". I don't know what I expected - everyone to laugh at me when I walked in? Everyone to stare at me the whole time whispering? That's crazy!! So I went. That's MY accomplishment for today. :) Sam |
Congrats Sam....I just relized that your signature stated that you have lost 15lbs since 9/1. How did you lose so much, so quick? How did I miss that?????
My positive: Well I realized that for the past couple of days I did not ALMOST fall over while putting on my underwear or when I dried my feet with my towel. I have not lost anything in a while, but I have been walking and just started using resistance bands. I could actually lift my leg up and keep my balance, I haven't been able to to that in about 6 years. :) |
Lynne - I think the reason that I have lost so quickly is because of my drastic lifestyle change. Noone worry though - I'm not starving myself LOL (I used to wish I had the WILLPOWER to starve myself LOL). Probably most of it is water weight, because I really do eat all day long, fruits, Lean Cuisines, stuff like that, drink lots of water. I was walking a mile or doing pilates every day but now that I am going to the gym I will have more of a variety (except I don't know how to use most of the machines LOL)
:) Sam |
My proud accomplishment is that I stood up for myself tonight while walking the dog.
For three times now, this one house has thoughtlessly let their three dogs out just as Bear and I walk by. And these three frickin' dogs charge across the yard to attack at us. And the people say nothing to me - no apology or nothing. Tonight it happened again and I think one of the dogs actually tried to or did bite Bear. Not good because Bear is 160 pounds. I yelled at the people that I was calling Animal Control. And I will. I'm patting myself on the back for not yelling the "F" word or calling them DUMBASS or :censored: :tape: :censored: :D In case someone thinks that's not appropriate as a pat on the back, I have exercised for the last four mornings and I did walk the dog tonight. Even if I have a sore throat. So. Booyah! |
Terri - congratulations on controlling your temper!! I don't think I would have been able to under those circumstances! I definitely think that counts as a pat on the back.
|
Oh Terri that is a huge pat on the back, I have a bad temper. I never would have controlled myself. Oh huge pat on the back, you better call Animal control. If you don't give me the info and I will call them. That behavior is inexcusable and extremely dangerous, and should not be allowed. Good for you on exercising 4X even with a sore throat.
|
I'm patting myself on the back for:
Doing pilates this morning, doing 15 minutes on the airdyne this evening and walking the dog for 1 mile too. And for going back to using WW and tracking my food. I journalled and counted points. I came in at 28 points after activity. Yeah! I'm going to follow the South Beach plan but use the WW system for controlling calories. I have been doing a good job of maintaining so I need to get more controlled. I love SBD but it doesn't really propose control by counting calories. For me, I need that structure. |
Today I pat myself on the back because I came up with a doable work out schedule for me. My schedule is hectic, but I figured one out, anyways. My new goal is to work out at lease four times a week.
:) Sam |
My pat on the back is the same as Sam's, a doable exercise plan. I plan on walking 2miles a day 3X this week and doing my resistance bands 2X this week and doing a 25 minute yoga tape 3X this week. I can do this. I will do this.
|
Woohoo!!
I've journalled faithfully for four days now and have stayed within my point range. I've done some form of exercise each day too. I plan on making day 5 successful too! |
Great job to everyone, all this positive
Today I pat myself for riding a bike for 2 miles, and walking 1.75 miles today. I believe my legs may be sore tomorrow, it was worth it. keep up the great work |
back in the saddle!
I got out for a good bike ride this morning! Put the "Wicked" soundtrack in my cd player and hit the bike trail. I rode for about 35 minutes, singing all the way! Well, I toned it down when I approached other bikers...I didn't want to scare anyone! What a sight (and sound) I must have been. It was fun and set the tone for a good, productive, FUN Friday!
So...to keep the fun rolling along, I think I'll just go throw a load of wash in! Madcap mayhem happening here! |
Kat I read your thread the other day and while I was walking with my music, I love the dance classics from the 80's, I kept thinking you and what you said. I then realized, thank God, I am the only one walking the track. I sing and sometimes even dance a little. Oh how funny, but what a mood I get in when I am able to do this. I have been walking 2 miles 3X a week and 1/2 to 1 mile 3X a week. But the 2 mile walk in on the local high school track. And I love it when I'm alone, to sing and dance......
Have a great day... |
I finally did some cardio exercise tonight. I put on my Firm - Calorie Killer tape I got off ebay. I lasted 20 minutes. What a great workout. I'll be taking the dog for a 25-30 min walk before bed too.
I also have three healthy soups on the stove. No excuses when there will be soup in the freezer. |
For two days:
I've planned healthy meals. I've journalled. I've drank 2 liters of water a day. I exercised 50 minutes of cardio on the first day. I remain determined. |

To all who are going great. As for me, I finally feel like I can post on this thread. I've had two OP days in a row!!! My WI wasn't very encouraging this morning, but it's making me more determined to stay OP today!!! |
I am patting myself on the back for journalling my food for eight days in a row. Not that every day was perfect ( Saturday was NOT!) but I've learned from the journalling and am working this next week on how to cut back a couple of points a day. I have to journal every day. EVERY DAY. I've also done one hour of cardio exercise both yesterday and today. I really need to get my stamina and endurance built back up with the cardio work. I'm really happy with how it felt to complete the two video workouts. Sweaty!

Checking in
Thanks Thin for tracking me down and asking me to come back!
You were right, we have been moving, finally got into our new home 3 days ago. I have been very busy unpacking and arranging things, and have a ways to go yet! It is turning out to be a good workout! I joined WW after we got to Idaho, but have not lost anything significant til this week. I weighed in tonight with a 4 pound loss, so am thrilled. I'll have to do lots of reading of posts to get back in the swing of things around here! ttys! |
I had a TOTALLY cheat free day! Feels good!
