Two Days In A Row

1 Attachment(s)
Oh yeah, I exercised two days in a row. :D I just finished riding the bike for a half an hour. I can't do my video cause the Bears are playing right now. But that is ok, :strong: I lifted some weights while I rode the bike. Now, I put my little Go Bears regular size so since everyone one upped me I must now I must do this. :smug:

Go BEARS!!!!!!
:cp: :cb: :cheer: :coach: :crossed: :wizard: :hyper: :goodvibes :fr:

I love Da Bears, I couldn't figure out how to get the picture in the post tho. BarbG how did you do that?

katrinabgood 09-12-2004 05:28 PM

Hey! I exercised too! I got out on my bike and rode over to my sister's house. That only takes about 10 minutes, so I took the long way home, (20 minutes) and took the bike trail. Much more scenic anyway. So cool to see little splashes of reds and oranges just starting to color the leaves. I love the Fall!

I'm not declaring any team as a favorite. I grew up with a pack of rabid Giants fans and I'm married to an equally rabid Eagles fan. What's a girl to do? I stay neutral. Although the Eagles have been playing much better than the Giants lately! What can I say? I have to sleep with the Eagles fan!

My son's team won their game today...they are currently undefeated! Poor guy is sound asleep at the moment. :sssh: I'm guessing he didn't get much sleep all weekend, camping. Dh picked him up this morning, he showered, suited up, played, showered again, and went right to bed! I wonder if he's hungry? Of course I think of that!

Food has been GREAT. I still have 15 points to spend on dinner. Roast Beef au Jus. Cauliflower and Broccoli. Looks like I'll have room for dessert! :T

Gotta run...make it look like I care about the game. That makes HIM happy! ;)

Oh, BarbG...You asked a question...

what do we need to do to get us motivated?

Well great. Now I have to exercise too.

Evenin' Ladies

Hiya everyone,

Congrats to you all who exercised :cb: Me, well, I've been a schmuck in that department lately...only been to Curves once in the past 12 days...ick! :yikes: :nono:

I have a doctor's appt. tomorrow to check in about my medication. I've been on Celexa for almost 3 1/2 years to treat a mild OCD as well as a panic/anxiety disorder. I haven't been feeling myself, though. Lots of depression type symptoms, irritability, feeling hopeless about the future, tired, wanting to consume every carb/sweet in sight. I was on Paxil before Celexa when I was first diagnosed with OCD and PD about 6 years ago, and loved it...felt more like myself than I ever had...but the side effects in the romance dept. were awful. <sigh> :halfempty And that was when I was single, not remarried! Haven't been sleeping well either. Actually, once asleep I sleep great...getting to sleep is the problem.

I'll let y'all know what happens.

Meanwhile, back to the beach tomorrow after a mixed weekend of eating pretty well and then diving headfirst into a bag of Oreo's with choc. creme.

Take care and have a great Monday tomorrow!

Love ya's

Hey everyone :)

Speaking of Oreo's, has everyone tried the 100 calorie packs? They have one that is Oreo wafers, and they are really yummy! The bag only counts as one starch for me, so I've been saving room for a treat every couple of days. :) There are a bunch of different types of packs, and they are an easy take-a-long for lunches. It is nice to not have to count out the amount or guess at ounces for once. :)

Skittles, you have to have a hosting site for the pictures then you just click on the little picture icon (the yellow square with the mountians) and put the URL of the pic. If you can't get it to work the attributes to add a picture is [IMG] [/IMG] But you can't do it from your hard disc, it has to be on a website.

LuckyLadyBug 09-12-2004 10:11 PM

Skittles Skittles YOU are a Bears fan when you are living in Packer land.

You had better be careful or they will cover you with cheese! :cheese:

Of course, being a Minnesotan you KNOW I don't like Packers or Bears!!!

I just won't post on Sept 26th when we beat the Bears! okay :)

katrinabgood 09-12-2004 11:03 PM

speaking of football...

LUCKY...Dh wants me to tell you that the VIKINGS are next on the Eagles list!

Next Monday night football. Be there, aloha.

LOOK OUT!

cdtobehealthy 09-13-2004 02:46 AM

Hey girls, how is everyone? :) I'm proud of myself because this is the first time in any recollection of mine that I have gone 6 days in a row with working out! Now, I haven't done my hoped for "4miles" of WATP but I have mostly done 2miles which is good enough for me :) I'm happy for myself! My main goal is to make working out and eating healthy a habit and I'm partially there! Now I just have to work on my eating habits. I had Wendys last night :( No good. While I was working out it affected me so horribly - I nearly threw up. I figure it was either wendy's or lipton tea, both of which I never really have. SO hopefully I'll remember to keep away from those from now on.

Its been a struggle but I've tried my hardest to keep on motivating myself and being determined.. hard to start the work out, hard to get through the 2mile tape - but I do it.

I hope everyone else is doing just as well! :)

Skittles 09-13-2004 07:01 AM

ohhhhh, Lucky, you put my name in green, shame on you. You know my :chef: use to say the same thing, "You have to be a Packer fan now, you live in Wisconsin." "We'll convert you, you can't help but be a Packer fan when you live here." And the first time I ever met my father-in-law, he played a song called "The Bears still suck." What a nice welcome. But I tell my :chef: "what kind of person would I be if my loyalties changed just because of my address? :p" I will always be a Bears fan, a Cubs fan, a University of Alabama fan, and a fan of any team Payton Manning is on. :D What's funny tho, is my :chef: and I are perfect for each other. My maiden name is Graham, so everyone called me 'cracker', And in college my :chef: was the only Wisconsinite, so he was called 'cheese' so now together we are "Cheese & Crackers" :lol3:

Barb, :thanks: for the info, that explains why it didn't work like yours. I will have to do that now.

Cd, you're doing a great job working out. Be proud. Don't feel bad about the Wendy's, I had Papa Johns last night, I'm not feeling to good right now either. :(

Chris, I hope that they can adjust your meds to help. After a while you just hit a plateau and the chemical balance is no longer balanced. I know what you mean about the Paxil though, I was on that. I felt great except I was tired all the time and well, romance wasn't in the picture anymore. Then they put me on a mixture of Paxil and Welbutrin. That helped a little with the sleepyness, but not the romance. So I had to stop that one. I have also been on Celexa, didn't do a thing, Amitripteline, also, nothing. Xanax for panic attacks, which I had to carry around with me. And some others a long time ago that I don't remember. Right now I am on Effexor XR. And it has worked wonders. I started out on a lower dose, and am currently taking a medium dose. One thing I noticed is it makes you feel better, but it also lets you have those depressed days, but you can deal with them logically, it is not like a totally helpless feeling, it is a more normal feeling, and not a feeling of numbness like Prozac gives. And you can't just stop taking it either, cause that can cause an anxiety attack. I have had that happen when I forgot to take my pills a couple of days in a row because I was sick. Oh, not good. :( So I wish you lots of luck. And will say a prayer for you.

Ok, well off to take a nap before work, I was up at 4 this morning with :chef: and couldn't fall back asleep. Hopefully I will be able to for a little bit now.

Take care,
Skittles

Good Morning!

Another beautiful day here...September really is the best month for sunny, dry days. Except for those pesky hurricanes.

I've already been to the bank, the farm market, and the pharmacy this morning. Now, I'm going to have my coffee and read yesterday's paper.

Last night I started to really go through the heaps and stacks of pictures I've been accumulating. Just trying to locate all my scrapbooking stuff. I started to separate stuff into piles, one for each child. Well, it's a start. I sat there on the floor of my bedroom last night, oohing and ahhing and laughing out loud at some of the pictures I came across. So much fun. Any blue feelings that I was having have been blown away. I am truly blessed.

My VOW for this week is to finish my Maine vacation album and take it from there. Meaning, getting this stuff organized and hopefully into some albums. Just organized at this point would be nice.

Coffee's done, I gotta run!

Later...

katrinabgood 09-13-2004 11:40 AM

I'm back...

So, I had a cup of coffee, read about three articles in the paper, decided that was too depressing, so I grabbed my radio, got on my bike and rode away! I rode for a good 50 minutes, down my bike trail. So excited that I saw some kind of bird that I have never seen before! Tall, long legged, white, long necked...a stork? I have to look it up. Must be some kind of shore bird, it was standing by the creek that leads out to the bay.

For Motivation Monday, here's a tip to help MOTIVATE you! Grab a portable cassette player, a radio, a dvd player, whatever...and take it with you on your walk. Put on your favorite music and walk, bike ride, jog, garden, sweep, rake, whatever, MOVE, to the music. Walk, or pump your legs to the beat. Listen to a book on tape while you walk or rake the yard and get lost in the story. (that reminds me that I need to get to the library today!) You'll forget that you're "working out" when you're doing something so indulgent. I find taking the time to sit and read extremely indulgent...I always feel like I should be doing "something" (laundry, dishes, etc) else...

So, basically what I'm saying is...

MOVE IT~and~LOSE IT!
:strong: + :jig: + :cb: + + :dancer: + :barbell: + :sumo: + :kickcan: + :tread: = :goodscale:

Hey everyone :)

I had my second physical therapy appointment today, and wow, am I feeling good! The therapist had me walking around with just one crutch, and I did 25 minutes of exercise, split between the stepper, a total gym and a rolly chair. The chair was the hardest of them all! :) She still isn't convinced that I haven't done further injury to my ACL, but we'll see what the doc says on Wednesday. It felt so good to be moving, and I was able to work hard enough to get a bit of a sweat going.

Terri, I was looking on the seated stepper, and they listed a website. www.nustep.com. Thought I would pass that on if you were still interested in finding one for your DH.

I've got to get some sleep. There definitely hasn't been enough of that going around this weekend.

Catch you all later!

Andria
