I guess I am going to follow suit with an itty bitty post. LOUSY food the past couple of days. I was vicously attacked by Reeses mini peanutbutter cups.

Barb: I think I am who you are looking for. My DH calls me the ebay queen LOL. I sell whatever. Sometimes my kids outgrown clothes. I bought myself a new video camera so I sold the old one on Ebay. Of course, I buy nearly as much stuff as I sell LOL. My Ebay name is the same as it is here -> Jehari.

Anyhoo, the kids are up so I'd better get them some breakfast. Talk at ya later,

Good Morning all...

I'm popping in quickly, as I'm on my way to the gym, for "AquaRun" at 8:00. I just wanted to tell you all that you may not be seeing as much of me as before. I'm finding that I'm getting a whole lot more done around my house and in my life than when would I sit for hours in front of the computer! (Go figure!) There have been days when I'd be here reading or posting when I should have been sleeping and then NOTHING got done around here and I'd feel like a useless slug, so then of course, I'd eat to make myself feel better...vicious cycle there! You would think that someone who spent so much time at a weight loss thread would be losing more weight! :lol:

Anyway...I'll still be around, just not as much.

We're going to NYC tomorrow, going to see Hugh Jackman in "The Boy From Oz." He's a real cutie anyway...AND he sings and dances? Can't wait!

Did everyone have a nice Valentines Day? Ours was very low-key; which was what I wanted so it was a nice day. I had said that the one thing I truly wanted was to go to a movie after work. I didn't need flowers, candy, or a gift (then I clarified that this was for this year only!). I even said that we didn't have to buy cards - heck, why be bound to a holiday driven by commercialism? So we didn't waste the money and had a great day.

We had cleaned house on Friday night so we got to sleep in yesterday (for us that is 7:30) and went off on a road trip. We went down to the little town that I grew up in to the oak furniture store. We are looking for a headboard for our bed. Instead we found a beautiful corner unit that will hold the TV in the living room. I think we're going to get it. We had lunch out. Even the dog got to spend V.D. with us. :lol:

I rented a couple of movies. I watched "Under the Tuscan Sun" while he took a nap. Then we worked on assembling one of the nightstands that I have been staining. We've got it together except for the drawers. We're going to have to buy a small sander so that we can get them together. Drats! I'm so anxious to get it in the bedroom. Now I'm really jazzed to get the other one stained. That will be my project for next week.

Then last night, I was in the laundry room. I stepped on the board that makes the doorway with the foot that has been healing for three months. I stepped on the side of my foot and it was the most intense pain I have EVER felt. I couldn't even lift my foot without that kind of pain. I screamed for DH to come help me. It upset the dog because he could tell I was distressed so he was weirded out. DH had to help me get upstairs. He had to feed me on the couch because I couldn't walk. So much for romance!

Today, its not as bad. Sore and i'll be keeping off it except for church and a movie. I won't be exercising much this week either. I had planned on calling the foot doc on Monday anyway since its been hurting more again. I will be for sure now.

Food hasn't been the best. DH took me on Friday for lunch at our favorite resturant. Do you have a Cinzetti's? It is an Italian buffet. But its mainly Tuscan Italian. I had mostly salad, roasted chicken, fish and lots of veggies. I did indulge in their chocolate souffle brownie and a cream puff.

2Cute - Hope you're feeling better and got to enjoy your birthday celebration.

Barb - After I finish my second nightstand, its on to painting the master bath. Congrats on your successful WI!

Kat - I understand about not getting enough done around the house. And its especially hard if you're making time to exercise. I've been struggling with the same issues. Just not enough hours in the day. I sure will miss seeing your around as frequently. Enjoy the Aqua Run!

Thin - I get to be a "showgirl" today too! Except I don't get paid! :lol: I am meeting a couple of friends after church and we're going to see "Monster".

Hi everyone! :wave: I had a very nice Valentine's Day! :) Honey and I went and did my movie jobs and stayed to see 50 First Dates. It was really cute. Even honey said he enjoyed it. He got me a beautiful sterling silver heart necklace. It is shaped like a heart and then filled in with filagree leaves that have teeny tiny garnets in them and then there are flowers made of mother-of-pearl and the center of the flower is a tiny garnet. It's really pretty. (No, he did not come up with this on his own. I saw it advertised in the Mervyn's flyer last Sunday and pointed it out to him saying, "look at this hun, it's it beautiful?") Sometimes a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do! LOL "The Baby" got me a DVD, Intolerable Cruelty. We sat and watched it last night. Well, they watched it, I slept (truth be told). But the best part was that we were all together. :yes:

I'm playing "showgirl" again tonight and have dinner out at a steakhouse. How sad is that? :lol:

Well, honey's upstairs making lunch (he's gotta get lunch before the Daytona 500 starts, can't leave the TV when it's on, ya know?):rolleyes: I've gotta change a load of laundry. I've got 5 "bank jobs" to write up. So I think I will leave you all for today.

DH is off on some mysterious project. :chin: Said he was going to the library and the hardware store. Not sure what he's up to. Now that I think of it, maybe he just wanted to get away from my painting project! :lol:

Well I don't know what we will do for entertainment after this new plant is up and running. I've spent more time in Home Depot than anywhere else the last few months. Today after chruch (in all of our Sunday "finerery") where did I find myself? In a TOOL store! Well at least he wants me to come with him I guess I should take that as a complement.

So we are finally home and Sunday afternoons is my nap time so I'll check in later!

"Wow" miss a few days and check out the boards. Hope everyone had a great Valentines day yesterday. Hubby and I had some fun and exchanged a few small gifts. I gave the kids a little bit of candy and took them out to McDonalds for lunch.

Then my sil called and we went to the Maine Mall and then out to eat at the Olive Garden. Gosh, I love that place and I hate to even guess at the amount of points I consumed there.

Happy Belated Birthday to Mary.

I have just been kind of lazy today and it feels good. I am off to bed soon and of course back to work tomorrow but only a 1/2 a day.

Good evening ladies. Sounds like a lot of you had a wonderful Valentines Day.
My roses are MORE BEAUTIFUL now than the day I got them. They are in FULL bloom now and are the BRIGHTEST RED I have ever seen. They are not the normal red... they almost SHINE !!!

Today my husband, daughter and I worked on my vertical blinds alllll day.
It is too hard to explain what exactly we did.... we basicly cut strips of wallpaper and made custom blinds with the wallpaper. We had almost 100 slats to cut, line and then rehang. :eek: It took the three of us 5 hours !!! :dizzy: WE worked nonstop. But... they look really nice. :yes: A MUCH "softer", custom look to them. I am very pleased with the results. :smug:

I still have this cold hanging on. I have taken my overdose of Vit C and zinc so I cannot imagine how bad it would have been without them. I am feeling much better... but not well YET. :rolleyes: I should have bought some stock in Kleenex corporation. LOL

Thin... your necklace sounds beautiful. I hope you wear it when you come to OKLA. I am VERY PROUD of your husband for catching on to your hint. LOL I don't know that mine would have. LOL
I saw "50 first dates" too. I was a little concerned in the beginning ... but it turned out to be a very cute sweet movie. We rented the movie "Lost In Translation" because of all the nominations and awards.... I thought it was totally BORING. Not my type of movie at all.

Sandy... good to see you again. Olive Garden is a killer for me too. I love the bread, the salad, the .... heck... I love it all. LOL I stay away from there pretty much. LOL

Barb..g .. Yes... we should be happy that our DHs want us to go with them... even if it is only Home Improvement stores. LOL I hope you got your nap in. ;)

Joanne... nice to see you popping in again. I sure wish you would stay longer and visit. We miss you.

BarbPA ... Did you find out what your hubby was up to?? My husband will disappear on me too sometimes when he sees something coming his way he does not want to do. LOL But most of the time he volunteers.
How did the painting go?? I am still not done with my little bathroom I painted and papered. Can't seem to find the right decorations I want to put in there. Evrything I try just isn't working. :( I know it will come to me... eventually.

Terri.. sounds like you had a lovely day with hubby. Mine HATES to shop.

Kat... I can understand your desire to be more productive around the house. I have felt the same way many times. Once I put my responsiblities as part of my top priorities .. I got more done... then had more time to come here too. LOL I post individual replies less often ... but still pop in for a minute daily. I had to give up computer games too. :o I hope you find a happy medium. I sure don't want to lose you. :no:

Jen... do you have anything for sale on ebay now?? How can we look up stuff you are selling? Do they list them by sellers too? I think Amanda had a mini business selling stuff on ebay. I may be wrong. Hopefully she will peek in and tell us. I have a dozen formals of my daughters from proms and Christmas dances I need to sell.

My foot is still sore so I'm not up to much exercise. I am able to do the pilates so I did the ab work (well, at least the parts I CAN do) this morning. And I feel better for it. I'll be calling the doc later on this morning.

I'll do better about food too. We've gotten lazy and DH has thrown in some stuff he KNOWS isn't appropriate to eat.

I gained 3 pounds. My birthday was good thanks for all the birthday wishes. Sorry I missed yours 2cute. DH sent me 3 roses to my hotel. Son got me some for when i came home.

Mary I am glad you had a good birthday. :cp: That was sweet of your husband to send you flowers to the hotel... and more from your son when you got home. don't worry about the 3 lbs.. you can work those off in the next week or two.

Terri... glad you foot is somewhat better. Way to go on exercising your abs. what a GREAT example you are for the rest of us.
