Ok I made my contribution here! LOL I started the new thread!!

I have a busy day today. Once I get us washed and dressed we are off to the bank, to the grocery store and then Andrew is having a haircut today! His hair grows so darn fast! Then I have to come home and write a paper to submit by tomorrow! Uugggh! I have to get going on all these papers I need to write! I already registered for the spring semester. I will be taking Communications III which is English comp translated...meaning TERM PAPER!! I am also taking Human Resource Management and Introduction to Art, Music and Lit which is a continuation of the books in the series of my western civ class! Ugh...more history type stuff!

OK I bored you all enough already! I promise I will get to individual replies later since I haven't done them in awhile but you have to post on THIS thread cause my brain won't remember that far back to the last one!

I do want to welcome Kimmber and to say congrats on all the losers this week! I am soooo jealous...I have been slacking off already! I will get back on track monday after weigh in...well I will try for the weekend but need to get this out of my system and go forward after weigh in!

Hello chickies!!

Good grief Michelle!! You are one busy woman!! I get tired just reading your posts LOL!

As for me, I have not been on the bike for a few days cuz I twisted my knee. It's still hurting a bit, but I got 15 minutes on the bike this morning and want to do another 15 tonight. Trying not to push it too hard yet.

My scale is so super flaky that I'm not sure I can trust it, but it says that I lost 2 pounds this week, which makes a total of 100 pounds now. I hesitate to have my little "century club" celebration yet just because my scale is so unreliable. If it reads less than that next week, then I will be able to safely say that I've crossed the 100 pound mark.

Food has been going much better, but still room for improvement in that area as well.

Not much else to report at the moment. I've been feeling quite tired and blah the past week. I need to get to the doc this week and get bloodwork done. I've been putting it off for a month. I need to quit stalling and just GO!

Anyhoo, I'll talk at you all later,
Jen

I'm here. My son went back to work last night. He works from 5 to 5 :D
Now DH and I have the house to ourselves at night.
Food has been ok. I seem to be doing ok. DH had the rest of his teeth pulled Thursday and is having trouble eatting. I better run. He is taking me out for my birthday today since I will be out of town next Sat,

ageoldie 02-07-2004 10:52 AM

I come in and read all the time, but I'm so boring that I don't have much to say :( I did get up early and go to the gym whith DH this morning. I really can't feel to proud of my self for going on a Saturday, cause I did miss two days this week. And Monday I have an appointment with my Rheumatologist, so I'll probally not make it then either.

Food has ben okay this week, not super good, but pretty good over all. My Dh also is diabetic, and I think the South Beach dieet is the most sensible diet I've come across in a long time.

Well, since I am at work, I guess I'd better get busy and really work for a change! Have a great weekend everyone :hat:

PS has anyone noticed that I have to edit almost all of my post? I always forget to close the last tag !!! :o

Good Morning Ladies!
I am up and in my gym clothes ready to go - just waiting for my sleepy bones husband to get out of bed --- no, he's not going with me, but I am currently on dog duty. We take turns letting each other sleep on weekend because with 3 dogs in the house they let us know when they are ready to wake up. As soon as I open the bedroom door he'll have 3 dogs on his head. However, considering that it's nearly 11am he is getting a rude awakening as soon as I finish here!

I made myself some low-fat Blueberry pancakes this morning - using Reduced Fat Bisquick, egg whites, skim milk and blueberries. They were very good.

Thanks for the advice --- Sounds like Southbeach may be a good plan to get DH started on --- We are going to the bookstore today to do a little research. Then we'll make a plan of attack and get to the grocery store tomorrow. His most difficult obstacle will be his work hours. I'll have to get him to pack food to take each day.

Kat - Loved your recap of the Survivors! I agree with you on Rudy - It was so impressive that he was out there as a 75 year old man, but he shouldn't have been out there. I saw him on some news show last night and he said he regreted his comments about friends. I also heard somewhere about Little Richard!

Well, it's time to let the doggies pounce on hubby so I can get to the gym!
Catch ya'll later!
;)

Happy Saturday!

I was at the gym bright and early this am...8:15 for a Cardio Mix class, followed by Body Pump...it's off to the shower for me, but I wanted to say "Hi!" first.

When I got home, I had my first carbs in over two weeks. I make this yummy oatmeal concoction with oats, milk, chopped apple and walnuts...usually I slurp down the entire bowl, no problem, but today, lo and behold...I couldn't finish it! Highly unusual for a bona fide member of the "Clean Plate Club!" I literally didn't WANT to finish it...This is a big change for me...hunger doesn't usually play into how much I eat...it just has to be there, in front of me!

So I'm psyched about that.

One thing before I go...Barb/ageoldie: Be proud of any time spent in the gym! It beats not going any time!!

Have a great day, all!

ageoldie 02-07-2004 12:34 PM

Just a quick Thank you to 2Cute. Your talking about Ebay reminded me I hadn't check in there in quite a while. So that day I put in a few bids and today I discovered I'm the new ownere of a beautiful new bathing suit (I buy almost all of them on Ebay, lots cheaper) and two plates and 2 soup bowls in the antique pattern I collect. I'm into old Jadite dishes big time. Do you think if Martha Stewart goes to jail she would sell me hers?

2cute2Bfat 02-07-2004 02:23 PM

Men !!!!!!!!

I am sorry ladies... but I just had to come in here and ....
SCREAM !!!!!!!!! :yikes:
My husband is driving me CRAZY!!!!!

They say you should watch what you ask for... because you just might get it. Well...
I asked my husband to wallpaper and I am now wanting to KILL HIM !!!!
He can FRUSTRATE me sooooooo BAD !!!!
Men can be soooooo STUPID sometimes !!!!!

Okay.... thanks for letting me scream in silence.
Although I critized him... I do appreciate his effort.
I just had to tell someone and I do not want to critize him to his children... and I don't want him to hear me critize him over the phone to anyone ... so you are the lucky ones.

Okay... before I could even post this..... he has made me mad AGAIN !!
Maybe I should just leave the house until he is done. LOL

MichelleK 02-07-2004 04:50 PM

Sorry Barb.g! I get first dibs on Martha's dishes!!

Kat I forgot to say earlier...the job I got is in NE Philly...I only had to go to Joiszy for the second interview... in Cherry Hill! So...I'm still a Philly Girl!

ageoldie 02-07-2004 05:16 PM

Hey Michelle we got lost in Cherry Hills last summer. We ate lunch there, then were on our way to my sisters in CT and low & behold 30 minutes later we were back in Cherry Hills. Took a wrong turn somewhere!

MichelleK 02-07-2004 07:01 PM

Barb.g thats too funny! When I first moved here I was always driving around in circles because I was always on the wrong side of the highway from where I wanted to be! Sometimes after 5 years I STILL drive around in circles!!

2Cute...men! Can't live with them, can't live without them...whats a woman to do? Sometimes I just want to take a 2 by 4 to the side of John's head every once in awhile! They just don't get it!!

Barb...you are too good! We are taking Andrew swimming tomorrow but that will be the ONLY exercise I did all week! I can just picture Charlee sitting in your lap while you are trying to exercise! No resistence there..she only weighs about 3 ounces!!

Mary glad your son is working! Is it the same job or a new one?

Jen, congrats on the 100 lbs!!

OK you all....come out and post now!

Gotta clean up the kitchen after making John some dinner. I wasn't hungry yet but its not like I NEED to eat! I've been eating bad for the past two weeks now!

Well crapola,

There is some key combination that I occassionally hit that sends me back to the previous screen and loses my text. Drats!

:bravo: to those who hit the gym today! My exercises consisted of walking around the Remodeling/Garden show, playing with the dog in the snow and some light housework. Now I'm being lazy. Food hasn't been the best today but what the hay, one bad meal isn't anything to feel guilty about. Tomorrow, we'll back on track.

Have a great evening!

Grannie39074 02-07-2004 09:25 PM
