Hey guys!
I am sorry I have been MIA for a few days. I have just been trying to get myself set for this challenge. I should have started but needed to stock up on good foods first and I was finally able to do that today. I have all red light foods out of the house and before I go to bed, I am putting my food journal out on the kitchen bar. I will be completely OP tomorrow. I will drink my water and I will try to do some sort of exercise. Ok on to replies...... Jiffypop- Hi! It is great to see you! Please drop in more often. BarbG- Sorry to hear about your problems with the bank. Dont let it stress you into eating!! You are worth more than that sweetie. 2cute- I am loving your enthusiasm!! Keep it up and I am gonna be right there with you! Joanne- You are exercise queen for this week :queen: Kat- It is great to see you back!!! I am sorry that the post goblins keep gobbling up your posts. You always make me smile. Terry- I am going to post a before pic also in the next few days. Now lets work together to make an AFTER pic!! Paperdoll- Congrats on being 2 pounds down!!! Michelle- Yes I have a 3 year old also. If I am not mistaking our boys are 1 week apart to the day. Zachary was born on September 18, 2000. You sounded so much like me with the morning time story. I do the same thing with Zach. I will try to keep him satisfied for a few minutes of extra sleep. Congrats on going to the Y!!! I had a Y memebership a couple of years back and I loved it!! One day I just got depressed looking in the mirror and feeling sorry for myself and said what the heck and cancelled. NOT GOOD!!! I miss it soo much! Andria- I wish I could tell you what to do about the situation with the co-worker. I can just say that it is always better to go with what is right. Joyce- Welcome to the thread!!! Please post often and I look forward to getting to know you! Thin- You are such a good moderator! What would we do without you to keep us organized?? Thanks for all your hard work. You are a busy woman and then you take your free time and spend it keeping this thread going. Tina- I miss you!! I hope that you feel better soon so you can come back to us. To everyone else, I love ya but I replied to this thread because I could not remember the other threads. Hope to see the rest of you soon!! GO PANTHERS!!!!! Hugs, Tracy |
Good morning!
Get up! I've been up and got my exercise in and feel energized! Let's work hard to make this a positive day, an OP day, a day of intentional exercise and a day full of the belief that we can and will do this! Have a great one! |

Hello,
My name is Carol and I just registered at the site. I have a lot of weight to lose and I need a little support from those who've been there. I'm somewhere around 345 right now and I want to lose about 165 pounds. I've given up on weight loss programs an am now following a lower calorie lower fat diet. That's what my doctor suggested and I know it works best for me. If I have to weigh in every week I just get discouraged. The weight always comes off quickly at first but as soon as it slows down I start obsessing. For now I'm not getting near a scale. I'll gauge my success by how I look and feel. I have considered gastric bypass but I really don't want to go through that. I've had two surgeries in the past year and that's enough for me. I also don't think I could deal with life after the surgery and the tiny portions of food. I know it's been great for a lot of people and I am really thrilled for all of them. Of course I know it's always an option if I can't get this in control soon. For all of you who've lost weight through any method, congratulations and keep it up. I'm looking forward to getting to know you all. __________________ Carol Finally living life for me |

WELCOME CAROL !!!
We are happy to have you join us. We have an ongoing thread called 300+ and ready to try again that starts a new thread after about 30 posts. We just add the new number onto the end. I think we are on about 475 now. Feel free to join us there daily... heck hourly if need be. lol I see you found our bio page. I enjoyed reading and getting to know a little about you. We have people on all kinds of programs. I think yours sounds like a sound plan. We have a picture thread too if you want to share your pic with us. We had more before.. but the site crashed not long ago and we lost a bunch. I am looking forward to getting to know you better. 2cute2Bfat |

Hi Ladies!
I miss you all! I wish I had more time to catch up with everyone. For now it will be a quickie post because I am back at work trying to catch up on things. It's pretty quiet around here since most people took off for the holiday. I am in mourning over my EAGLES  (I know Tracy is happy about this) :s: The Panthers played well. My boys just didn't bring their game. I will get over it -- although I am not sure the rest of the city will. I am so sick of being sick and tired! I still have this nagging cough and cold. My Dr. said it just has to work it's way out of my system. I am slowly getting back on the exercise bandwagon. I packed my lunchbox today with a nice, healthy breakfast and lunch. I stepped on the scale this morning and nearly had a heart attack! I need to get this bod moving! I'll catch up with you all more later on! Barb |
Hey guys....
Stopping in for a real quick post. I PROMISE I have not desserted you guys. I know that you know I've been real busy with work, dh, kids and life lately, but I also managed to get sick in the process. Not the flu bug.... I *wish* it were that.... I think. :chin: I am so foul it is not even funny and I don't mean this type of foul. :chicken: I look like the walking dead. Thursday or Friday one, I'm not sure which because I've lost track of my days, I made chicken stir fry - mistake #1. I know better than to eat too many vegetables at one time because it always upsets my stomach ever since I got my gallbladder removed. (On a side note, I do have to say I was really happy with the stir fry that I bought. It was a huge bag, (5 lbs. I think) filled with broccoli, snap peas, water chestnuts, onions, mushrooms, red peppers, carrot sticks and I'm sure a few more vegetables I can't remember. It also comes with two oriental sauce packets. I guess they figure you'll use one per half bag) Anyways..... beyond that. So I pull out my handy dandy wok that I've not used in a gazillion years and clean it. Yes ladies, there was dust in it and a few more things that I'm not sure I quite recognize. So, I got it all cleaned out and sprayed it with Pam and start stir frying my chicken. (boneless skinless breasts I had washed and cut into strips) As the chicken starts getting done, I added half the bag of vegetables and one of the oriental sauce packs. Mistake #2. I started "tasting" the chicken. Now, don't get me wrong. It looked completely done on the outside and I even cut it in half to make sure, but apparently it was not. At least that's the only thing I can figure. I assume I ate a piece of chicken that wasn't done and then compounded it by eating all the vegetables.... either that, or I've done something really bad I need punishment for. {WARNING! The next section could fall under the topic of TMI and may just make even the strongest of stomach feel faint. Read on at your own risk.} <<This is my disclaimer. During that last several days, the toilet and I have become quite close. Buddies, in fact. Although how we could become buddies after the damage I do to it is a mystery to me. Oh and did I mention on top of the diarrhea, that I have this amazing gas that has decided it wants to come out of not only one end but both? :tired: The gas that comes out of the rear end is special, to say the least, but what comes out of my mouth is even better. It smells and tastes as though I have just eaten 800 rotten boiled eggs and they have all come home to roost. Not to mention that I have wiped my hind end so much it is raw, so I've had to coat that particular area with vasoline, so adding insult to injury I now have a greasy butt. Sheer heaven, I tell you. Now, I'm sorry if the preceding paragraph grossed you out and was WAY TMI, but, you were warned AND if you can't gross out your friends, then who can you gross out? Well..... except for you dh and kids? I wish I had a nickel for everytime I've turned over in the bed and dh has said, "HEY! Don't point that thing at me!" Ok, this post has taken me forever and not to mention, but I will..... three bathroom trips in between. Take care and hopefully a meaner, cleaner and less disgusting Tina will be back soon. I mean, after all..... how MUCH more could there be in there? :grouphug: |
Could have been worse
Hey Tina
Hope you are feeling better? Just remember it could have been worse, :faint: with severe stomach cramps, vomiting, and fever. At least those were other symtoms I had with bad food. Wish you better day :lucky: |
Tina - You poor thing, I hope you feel better soon! On the bright side....I bet you've lost weight!!!
:flow2: :flow1: :sunny: |
