No longer 300 lbs!

So happy to report that I busted through 300 lbs and today I weigh 298 lbs. :carrot: I started my most recent WLJ around July 2016 at 365 lbs. I was able to get down to about 303 lbs by April 2017, but then I fell off the wagon and ballooned back up to 344 lbs between May and October 2017. By mid-October I was fed up with myself and decided to recommit to losing weight and to not give up on myself. By the grace of God, I mustered the motivation and determination to stick to a plan from October to December 31st and was rewarded with losing over 45 lbs and getting under 300 lbs for the first time in about five years. I'm sharing this with you all because it's never too late. If you would have told me on October 1, 2017 that I would weigh under 300 lbs by January 1, 2018, I would have laughed in your face. But here I am! :D Was this easy? No. (Even as I'm writing this post, I'm trying to quiet my cravings for french fries and wings ) But the point is that I'm not giving up on me. So, if you are feeling down or discouraged because you are far from your goal or you have regained some weight, all I'm saying is don't give up. There's a reason it's called a weight loss journey. We each have to go our own way but we'll get there. I have a long way to go, but I'm celebrating the victories along the way. You should too. Happy New Year and best of luck on each of your weight loss journeys in 2018!

Fabulous! That’s a nice accomplishment for you. Keep up the good work and keep those crazy temptress of wings and fries to the side - they’ll always lurk but it sounds as if you are motivated to avoid them (unlike the cookies that I had during Christmas). Good luck with the next batch to come off - you can do this!

Thanks, grannynancy. I know how much encouragement I've needed over the years, so I love passing it along to others if I can.
