March into Health Exercise Thread

  • There's a part of me that doesn't even know why I'm doing this, it is so hard for me because I remember when the 300+ community was happy and vibrant. I remember when this was the greatest place to come for encouragement and support, and then I don't know what happened. It just died. Being here was the most successful I had ever been. There was an exercise thread that I loved, for me it worked and it made me feel like I was part of something bigger than myself. There were people from all over the world, men/women cheering each other on and we could talk about everything and then it just vanished. Now to be fair I vanished too. I got busy with life and wandered away from the importance of my health and got lost. So I came back here but the family was gone. I tried to start it over again but got zero participation so I got depressed and left. But this is 2019 and for me things are new...if I'm the only person here so be it. I'll just use this like my personal blog. If you want to jump in, cool....no worries...it's all good

In honor of what Heather started:

Welcome to the March exercise thread! We're making exercise a habit, giving ourselves some accountability, and getting healthier in the process!

In this thread, we track the number of MINUTES we exercise for the month -- whether it's walking or swimming or sweaty housework! Most of us set goals for ourselves. If you are a goal-setter, early in the month set your own goal! If you're just getting started, feel free to start with a smaller number of minutes, maybe just a few hundred. It seems easier for many of us to build on the habit rather than meet a very high goal right away. However, you can also just jump right in without a goal, and you can join us anytime in the month!

We invite you to join us!

To keep track, just add your minutes to the existing group’s minutes. If you’re new, look at what other people are doing – it’s pretty easy to figure out! To help everyone keep things straight, please note the OLD minutes and the number of NEW minutes you are adding, such as
    Example: Group total ~ 500 + 50 = 550 minutes.

February ended great....I'm down to 271.6
This month I'm working hard to finally get to 265, it's been a threshold I haven't been able to cross for over a year....
My goal for March is 2100 minutes....here's to awesomeness!
  • From the 1st to today

112 minutes (1988 minutes to goal)
  • Thanks for doing this. I exercise in water, and it’s been so cold here, I haven’t gone. I need to start again.
  • I'm currently doing LP and all of my lifts are progressing nicely, except for my bench. I am just under my first goal of a plate but I am dropping reps and starting to think I should deload and work back up to it.

  • Thanks a lot! I have decided to also take better care of my health this year. I’ve committed to doing exercises 4 times a week to stay active and improve my overall well-being. On top of that, I’m planning to order some vitamins from michael aram customer service to support my health goals. They have some great options, and I’ve heard positive things about their products. I’m excited to start this new routine and feel the difference. If anyone has other recommendations for vitamins, supplements, or health routines that have worked for them, I’d be happy to hear them! It’s always great to get new suggestions and ideas from others who are on the same journey.
  • I've been walking and doing chair exercise.
