Holding it together so far this week. Still have lots of extra WW Points in case of emergency.
We can do this ladies! |
I have two POP days under my belt - grudgingly I might add (for some reason). I'm not sure why this makes me so angry.
I want to share something that struck me - I know at least a few of us can feel the sentiment: ONLY EXERCISE AND EAT HEALTHY ON THE DAYS YOU WANT TO BE HAPPY I've been thinking alot about this - back to my strength. Speaking of which, did anyone see the "Strong is the new Skinny" special? |
Back to what I know works for me. I have gained so much I'm miserable. My comfy clothes are even snug.
|
You could be right Carol - except I need a really mad at myself day to get me started. Then I am happy with a successful day and, hopefully, it pushes me forward.
POP yesterday - Happy today. :) |
Since I was in the area I decided to stop at WW and weigh in today instead of tomorrow morning. Weather tomorrow is questionable here. I stroll in, kick off my shoes, and climb on the scale. I'm wearing jeans. I never wear jeans on w/i day. The leader checks her computer and says "Wow! You've lost 5 lbs!". I was shocked and said "Two weeks in a row? I'm stunned. I ate breakfast before I got here. I'm wearing jeans and though my week was good, I can't believe it was that good." She double checks the computer looks up and says "Oh Judy, I'm so sorry. You lost 0.8 of a pound this week." I sighed and said "That was more like what I expected". She was so embarrassed. I felt bad for her. Good thing we've known each other for years.

Pop day yesterday! So excited! Now to have another one today.
|
Still POP - starting to feel better.
Great job Judy! |
Pop day yesterday and scales moved another 4 lbs this wk.
|
Go Deb!
My choices could have been better. I had to use extra points yesterday. |
Kids came in today with homemade turtles. Now why do people do this. She know I am prediabetic and hubby is full blown. I took a bite of one and feed the rest to the kids. I will be giving them away later in the day. I am also thankful they just brought 3 sugar cookies(1 for each kid). A real weakness of mine.
Thinking a peice of fish for lunch sounds good today. What are you eating? |
Today we have hubby's dad's bday. It's fingerfoods.
We are expecting a major snow storm tonight. While it's nothing compared to what the north east is receiving it's major for ky. Last numbers I heard was 12-18". It's been 10yrs since we have had that much snow. Meals are planned. Stay safe and warm everyone. |
Let myself get suckered into too much pizza yesterday. Not good. I nee to stay on the rails today.
Deb, hope you're safe and warm. We might see 20º today. First it has to get above zero though. |
Ugh! Furnace problems in our building again. No heat from about 3AM until they got it fixed at 9AM yesterday. It was cold! 8ºF outdoors is not when you want to have heating problems.
Skipped WW as well. Lake snow was coming down at about an inch an hour and the roads were not the best. It was easy to stay POP yesterday. Only left the apt. to shovel the dog's "spot", off the terrace, out. Weather today is ugly. Our wind chill at 9AM was -31ºF I'll be staying in again, except to shovel. Shooting for a POP day today. |
Greetings and Salutations,
It's been an interesting few days. The battery died on the car on Sat. at home. AAA originally told me 4-6 hr. Then I got a call from a tow truck driver saying he'd be in Roch.(75 miles away) to tow me out of a ditch in 1/2 hr. After an interesting conversation with the driver I called AAA back and was told they were having a problem with there computers assigning the wrong member numbers to the calls. They got my request straightened out and wait time hadn't changed. 3 hrs later, another call. Wait time had been pushed out to 24-28 hours!!!!!!!!!! At that point I checked the clock and saw that my mechanic was still open. I called him and he offered to stop up on his way home and jump start the car. He is AAA so we were able to still use their payment by calling them and letting them know the job was done. Weather has been awful. In between snow and Arctic cold I've been home for days. The good thing - I was POP! Yesterday I got into my mechanic and have a new battery and today I got to the store. A good thing because the cupboard was getting bare. Sure hope the weather lets me get to WW on Thursday. You'all need to come out and play! |
I think I have my head back in the game. I was pop yesterday. Day 1!! Ready for day 2. Menu planned.
Not sure when I started eating seconds. Back to cooking nightly and a meat a carb and a green veggie. Hubby's glucose is running high and we have to get it down. Will take a few wks of eating right to line things back out. Exercise is going to be a slow increase. I can't stand being sore in my upper back and shoulders. So 10 min on the gaZelle for a few weeks. I am not catholic but I am giving up sodas for lent. I had gotten in the habit of having one from time to time. They really mess with me. We still have a heavy snowpack. 10-12" For ky that's heavy. I know it's nothing compared to a lot of areas but for us it's a lot. I got a nuband on clearance at Goodies. I got it for 24$. I like it. I have already stopped tracking sleep. It's depressing to see I only sleep deep a few hours a night. I am sitting way to much. I set my goal at 5000 steps and getting less than 2000. Just a few yrs ago I was getting in 10000 steps a day. Judy thank you for being active on this thread. I am so bad about not posting when doing bad. Let's all try and revive our thread and our weight loss! |
