Shame-faced weigh in. I lost my green streak.

In the last week before this weigh in, I had my birthday, my in-laws came to stay (stress much?), my husband had his official installation and celebration, we had 2 'appreciation' dinners, TOM is approaching, and we are being just buried under tasty treats for pastor appreciation month. Ugh. No wonder I'm up.

I'm changing my weigh ins to Fridays. I've started incorporating a cheat day on Saturday. Which, yesterday was my first day. I didn't go as hard as I thought I would, but I'm definitely paying for it today. I feel like crap. But I like that because I feel absolutely no need to eat any of the crap that I ate yesterday. I barely want to eat my regular food. There is always that fear, when you start a cheat day - what if I go over board? - what if I can't stop. For instance, I had a bag of chips yesterday. It was like one of the 1.99 bags. I could normally eat 5 bags. I barely made it half way through the bag and I was done. Didn't touch it again. And it's interesting finding out what I like now vs what I don't. Anyway, my weigh ins on Monday would just unmotivate me since you know I'll be fighting water weight.

I have been seriously MIA from 3FC lately, but I'm making a comeback. I've been dealing with immigration for my husband's visa (my part is now done and now we just wait), as well as some medical issues and a death in the family.

Watchout.... I have fallen into a bad rut! Eating all wrong and feeling horrible inside my body and head... I just did not want to post anything negative... I am still here tho and watch and cheer you all on! Once I get back in the swing (where I know I am back in control) I WILL BE BACK.. I am just having a hard time giving myself a pep talk!

Hi everyone, sorry I have been out of touch the last couple of weeks. When I start to slip away from a healthy lifestyle I become clouded with shame and I think well what's the point of weighing in when I'm not even trying this week -_-

So here I am, facing the truth! I crept up to 85.2kg recently, so I went out on a 2 hour walk to shake off the bad feelings and I am careful with how much I am eating. It's hard having a holiday booked for 6 weeks time and not being able to fit into my clothes!

Hi all! Glad to see some of you checking in. I hope this thread doesn't die! The holidays can be rough, so we need to be extra vigilant.

Update & rambling: I had a doctor's appointment yesterday and it went well. TMI - my periods have been lasting for 17ish days for the last couple of months, so I wanted to get everything checked out. The doctor didn't find anything unusual during my pelvic exam, but she ordered an ultrasound so I will be doing that as soon as it gets cleared by my insurance. Also, I went to Urgent Care on Monday because of immense pain in my ear. They said I had an ear infection. Well, it was still bothering me yesterday, even though I have been on antibiotics, so I asked my doctor to take a look and she said that my eardrum had ruptured, but it appears to be healing. Yikes!

I'm still working on my checklist for weight loss surgery (sleeve). I've done the blood work, my gastroscopy is scheduled for mid-Nov and I am supposed to be getting a call next week re: making an appt. with a nutritionist. There are still several other things I need to get done and will keep working at it.

Things have been a bit of a blur lately due to my medical issues. I am still counting calories and losing weight, but I am definitely not as focused as I want to be.

I got a HUGE surprise yesterday! My husband is coming to visit from NZ...ON MONDAY!!! I totally was NOT expecting it. He is still waiting for his visa to move here permanently, but will be able to visit over the holidays while we are waiting. I am so happy! It has been 5 months and probably 50 lbs. since I last saw him in person!

Alright, enough about me! How did you guys do last night (Halloween)? I want some updates!! I ended up having 1 fun size Twix bar because it was the lowest calorie candy in the bag and 2 Hershey's kisses. Not bad!

Changing my goal to 260 from 250, because 250 just isn't feasible with the time left until the end of the year, and with the grouping of my birthday, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years all slammed together and all the festivities spread out over the various weekends in between, it's a rough 3 months to get through for me... as is evidenced by my lack of focus over the last few weeks!
