One Week POP Challenge

I have been fluttering for about a year. I need to get my mojo back like when I first started this journey. So I am setting a week long challenge of staying Perfectly On Plan.
Anyone want to join in and support each other?

My POP plan is to weigh and measure ALL my food.
Enter it ALL on MFP.
Stay on plan with my food.
Get in at least 20 minutes of exercise everyday.
Not weigh myself until 8-11.

Guess I'm an over-achiever. My try one new healthy food this week happened for dinner!

I have the Paderno Vegetable Spiraler/Slicer, and I spiraled up some Zucchini to have in place of noodles for my spaghetti night.

I took 2 zucchini, spiraled them. Heated up some olive oil in the pan, and threw the zucchini in. Added copius amounts of garlic, and cooked for less than a minute, so they were tender, but not soggy. Added some pasta sauce, and VOILA! 75 calorie dinner right there! I could definitely replace noodles with the zucchini from now on...it was tastier than I thought it would be. Even my hubby liked it! :o

Welcome Kayle. Thanks for the report on zucchini pasta. I've been thinking of trying it.
Day one was POP. Realized I had become the family plate/kettle cleaner lately.
Deb, how did you do?

papercut 08-05-2014 06:36 AM

hey there,

started low carb today lol, hopefully i can get this right.

dgramie 08-05-2014 07:06 AM

I had a pop day except for my daily bible reading. I know for me I am more focused on eating healthy if I am studying my Bible daily.
Planning my food out for today. I should be pop again.

Welcome papercut! You can do this.

Good job Deb! Yes, when everything is in place, weight loss falls into place also.

papercut 08-05-2014 09:19 AM

thank you for the welcome,

i feel terrible.......:?: i really have no idea what my POP is. Kinda jumped in here with both feet and doing it day by day. a couple of pointers on how to structure a POP?:D

Ubee 08-05-2014 09:47 AM

Hi Papercut!
POP is different for everyone.
It may be a day where you follow your way of eating perfectly. For some it is keeping your carbs or calories under a certain number, not snacking, exercising, getting water in... Only you know what your perfect on plan day would be.
You mentioned you were going low carb. Do you have a limit for how many carbs you are allowed daily?

betsy2013 08-05-2014 12:39 PM

Hi there, Ubee. OK. I'm going to join in. Of course, I'm joining in a couple of days late so that means that I'll either end in less than 7 days or else run over.

My goal: STOP EATING OFF PLAN!

Every day I figure out what I'm going to eat, enter it in MFP, and then cheat. So, I'm going to do a no cheat approach. At this point, just getting through an hour without cheating would be an improvement!

Ubee 08-05-2014 12:57 PM

Betsy tell yourself it is just for 6 days. You can do this. One minute at a time. For the next 6 days picture me on your middle finger giving you a thumbs up or down for your food choices.

dgramie 08-05-2014 01:45 PM

Übee I still picture you with your foot ready to kick my butt!! Lol
