Hey everyone! I'm an on again off again user of this site, but as I am tryin to get my stuff together, I am back!
I have lost a bit over 30 lbs within these last couple months, and i want to keep moving in that direction. I am in my upper 300s, but not for long! So yes, hello all! - I'm here. |
Stalique - Welcome (Back?)
Terra - Hope you had a good walk :) Betsy - Sounds like a full day :) Hope the gray sky turns sunny for you soon. We're having a cool yet sunny day here. (still cold by anyone elses standards but an improvement upon last weeks weather so I'll take it!) Ubee - I definitely noticed I had the most success in weight loss right after being sick. I don't believe the size our our stomachs can change back but we just get use to the amount of fullness. So I got use to not eating very much... I'm struggling witht hat post -all-inclusive vaccay... I'm not the only one talked to a friend who feels the same. Just don't feel satisfied since we got use to a week of overindulging in fruity drinks etc that keep you filled up! Dean - I love vanilla hazelnut coffee... I consider it a treat. Jane - So strong saying no to the cake! I hope the scale rewards your diligence. Sam: Go you and working out... doing fab. Okay gals I need to find the mojo to workout my abs since my instructors this week at step and sculpt didn't focus on them too much. I am so not self motivated when it comes to this stuff... I have a dog I am babysitting for the weekend so this should be fun for me. She's tiny so the walks won't be long but it wil be nice to have the company. She's such a little cutee! So nothing exciting for me tonight I'm going to cuddle with the pup and get an early night I think. I stepped on the scale, the past couple days I just haven't felt like talking about numbers. I'll probably start talking about it more specifically when I weigh in for the challenge. The vague news is I maintained on vacation I'm fairly certain. I thought I'd gained weight I feel somewhat chubbier in the belly but the scale disagrees i'm still in the same 301 to 308 range that I was pre-vacation and apparently visuallye veryone thinks I've lost weight so... I'll call it even and a successful vaccay that I maintained. I'd hoped to keep losing but... when surrounded 24/7 by drinks and food... maintaining is good in my books. Hopefully the next time I report in I will have sore abs. LOL :) |
Stalique Welcome! We're at pretty much exactly the same weight!
Ubee & Betsey I don't do very well with uncertainty either, but knowing that I can survive a month or two between jobs should I be let go or need to leave helps a lot. Terra I have 5 nephews (number 6 is on the way) and 2 nieces. I love being an aunt! Greatest thing in the world isn't it??! 1.9 down this morning. I officially have just over 2 pounds left to get back to my ticker weight! I'm so happy with my forward momentum this week that I decided to think long term and hope to be under 300 by the new year. With 40 weeks left in the year that should be doable, and it gives me a fighting chance to be at goal by my 30th in September 2015. How's everybody doing with their calendars?? |
I think I missed something, what does the calendars thing mean?
|
Silentarctic Some of us have day planners or calendars, and for every day that we stay on plan, we X the day off or put a sticker, etc to see our progress.
I just make a big "X" through each day on my desk calendar. |
Stalique ~ Welcome back to the thread
Silent ~ Yes I had good walks today, I walked twice today. Jane ~ Yes it is the greatest thing in the world |
Just wanting to pop in and wish everyone a Good Morning and a good day!
I'll be back soon! |
Good morning all. Still raining here. The grass really is going to be as high as an elephant's eye if it doesn't stop long enough to cut it.
Ubee Have a good day. Terra Did you get your morning walk in? Hope it was a good one for you. Jane Way to go on the weight loss -- you should definitely be able to make your year end goal. It does feel so good to have the scale moving (and in the right direction!). SilentArctic Sounds like you did great on the vacation with maintaining which is so hard to do. Good for you! It will come back. The calendar is really helping me to both stay on track and to see where my problem times are. Stalique Glad to see you join us and congrats on your progress so far. Yesterday's calendar was only colored in for the morning. Did my BIL's taxes and snacked on nuts. Had a PB&J for supper along with 2 glasses of wine......and woke up to being 3 pounds lighter than yesterday. Tomorrow morning will probably show a pound back up as my body adjusts. I have no idea why weight is coming off right now other than I've gone back to Intermittent Fasting where I have an 8 hour eating window from noon to 8 PM and watch my calories and carbs during that time. It's been a nuts week, but definitely one that I'll take since weight is coming off. I may even get down to what my siggie says I weigh soon! Have a great weekend. Going up to see the grand nephews (yes, Jane and Terra -- being a Great Aunt in my case is wonderful) tomorrow so won't have time to post. |
374.1 today. Sooo close to getting past the 373 hump! Just a quick hello, today is B's last day of overhaul and I want to have some cooking and housework done before he gets home.
|
Betsy ~ No I didnt get my walk in this morning but Im still gonna walk twice today
|
I now weigh 294 from 302
|
:bravo: Terra :congrat: guess not having that potato really helped!;)
|
:carrot: Jane!
Betsy maybe you need to be on a wine diet.:dizzy: Silent maintaining anytime is success but especially on that fun vacation we had! :cb: stalique  Sam :cheer2::cheer3: Betsy and I are looking so cute cheering you on! |
Good job Terra :P
Jane - good luck with that! You still got 9 months in the year for our journeys Hi everyone :) |
Hey Everyone!
I tried to post all day yesterday but my computer and the internet on my phone kept saying the server was down for the site. Let me tell ya'll about my weekend. Friday night was awesome! DH did such a good job and his band's set was so tight they did such a great job. I'm such a proud wife LOL...After the show DH and I went to get some groceries at Walmart and we got a cheese pizza...This isn't part of my plan, but I don't care if I have a cheat meal here and there. We added some mushrooms and onion and jalapeno to it when we got home and I limited myself to 2 slices instead of eating half the pizza like I usually would. On Saturday I didn't eat much. I had some breakfast burritos and ate 3/4 of a small frosty from Wendys...and for dinner DH made a nice big pot of turkey chili. It was good :) I slept a lot on Saturday since I didn't go to bed till 4 AM on Friday/Saturday morning. I guess my body just needed it. So here I am, awake on Sunday. I just weighed myself...and I'm at 306.6!!! That's 4.8 lbs from last week!! I'm happy with the loss considering my cheat meals, but I need to be careful that I don't lose weight too fast. I'm just glad to be steadily losing weight, even if I only lose 1 lb one week. I'm figuring it will probably take me the better part of 2 years to lose this weight if I lose an average of 2 lbs a week. I'm so happy I will be out of the 300s soon! When I renewed my license in December I put my weight at 295 so maybe I'll be that weight soon and will hopefully surpass it!! Well I'm going to go make some breakfast. Hope everyone is having a great day!! PS: loving the cheerleading outfits Betsy and Ubee!!! |
