WANNA - Wahooo .. double figures in the challenge Well done And most definitely understandable for the weigh in last week hun, no worries at all

LARRY - Wow .. the new plan is doing great for you ... I too am starting to up the calories .. especially now I am going to be incorporating exercise at last lol .. so hopefully it will have the same result for me

SILENT - Good going this week for you too Just curious ... and you can ignore if you want lol .. but just seen what your BIG goal is to reach ... what made you choose 180? Is that the ideal for your height or have you been there? Just curious as I am almost 2" shorter than you and my big goal is about 20pounds more lol ..

ERIN - Lookie you lady Well done again You are definitely leaving the 5 behind and heading in a happier direction for you Im sure Keep going you are doing fab!

Well ... happy to be back eating my real food .. yesterday was definitely a bit more of a detox type of day .. lots of vege juice, crackers ... and for dinner I had a couple of oat hotcakes with a banana ... very nice.
Today I started with a mini pottle of yoghurt & a banana and a glass of vege juice ... made my hunny a tomato & cheese omelet for his breakfast with a coffee. Now I am just chilling doing some more of my beading on my cross stitch (just finished completing the 2nd of 4 that I had already stitched) .. and waiting for my treadmill to get delivered .. less than an hour if the guy is on time .. very excited ... very sleepy (only slept 4 hours lol) .. but excited .. so when it gets here I will have a quick nap to feel better then Im going onto the machine for a 30 minute walk

Dinner tonight is going to be homemade burgers with focacia (can't spell it sorry lol) .. instead of bread rolls .. I have never made the bread before but I am in the mood to give it a go .. and if it doesn't work .. then they will just be bread less burgers lol ..

Today is a lovely overcast day .. rain is expected .. but Im happy with that as it keeps the grass green instead of browning it all .. it allows me more energy to get things done and its just nice The last 2 days have been pretty hot where I am .. we have such a wet heat .. very tropical where we are .. not to mention the lovely hole in the ozone over us lol ... so while the temps might not sound too hot .. really .. it is lol .. sort of like in the winter when they say its 4 .. but when you go out into the wind you know its really more like -6 lol. So today we are expecting a high of 22C where I am .. and a low of 16 ... and this is on an overcast day so Im looking forward to the rain otherwise its just muggy and that is just as bad lol. Still .. in the last couple of days I have managed to get 6 loads of washing done .. most of which was stuff that had just been piled into the corner of the laundry and left to do "later" cos they were big or winter clothes or bedding or towels lol ... they tend to get done as needed really lol.

So keep up the good work everyone UBEE, DORA, & ISLES .. how you ladies going today? Isles .. you having problems posting still?? Not stuck under too much snow are you??

Nightkatt I am "NOT" upping my calories, I am upping the "quantity" of food that I am eating. There is a major difference between upping my calories and increasing my volume of food. I achieve this by increasing the low calorie density foods that I eat in my meals and by reducing but not eliminating the high calorie dense foods that comprise my meals.

I re-read this and it sounds curt. I don't feel that way at all, I am not upset it is just my way of explaining what I am doing. So Nightkatt here is a hug

@Nightkatt - Aw thanks. I picked it based on the BMI tables.

179 is "overweight" for someone who is 5'11"
And 184 is overweight for someone 6' tall.

So I figured 180 was probably a "healthy" weight for someone my height. I doubt I'll ever reach it though.

LOL .. No worries Larry .. I learnt a long time ago to never put the negative tones onto posts that I read because there is a higher chance it is not meant to be taken in that tone ... as wonderful as the internet is .. it does leave a lot to be desired to get the inflection right in posts But will happily accept the hug anyway lol I should have realised that too ... I have been doing what you're doing for a while now .. but Im still not hitting my minimum of 1200 most days ... but I do love my veges and feel like I am eating soooooo much food when I have them .. and yet when I add up the calories its like Im almost eating air (well .. not quite .. but you get the meaning I hope lol). Good on you anyway ... and way low for cal today for you too I had a little bit of a chinese take out today for dinner .. very yummy ... was going to make homemade burgers but had a slight accident lol .. see below

Well ... you know those days when you really rethink the whole "do I get out of bed or not" quandary (if you have an option) ... I should have had that thought today lol .. Only had about 4 hours sleep .. so that is probably why Im not feeling uber energetic today lol. Got up and made my hunny a cheese & tomato omelet for his breakfast, I had a mini pot of yoghurt & a banana with a glass of vege juice. Puttered around for the morning after my hunny went to work waiting for my treadmill ... and that is sort of the point that things started going a little awry. The delivery guy was great .. with a lot of effort and some twisting and lifting .. we finally got the machine through the door ... at this point he asked if I needed any help .. and lil ol independent me said no thanks and saw him on his way to do his other deliveries lol ... paint me a gumboot .. what was I thinking??? It took the two of us (one fortunately with a lot of muscle .. the guy obviously makes good use of their machines lol) to get it in the door ... why did I think I would be able to get it down the hall and in to another room .. through another doorway!!!??? On my own!!?? Soooooo after struggling and lugging and lifting on my own .. I have now hurt my back rofl ... but thats ok .. hunny will save the day .. and where I have left it .. its easy for me to climb through to get into my bedroom as long as I don't want to do it too often ... well .. while I didn't do the walking ... I definitely did get a bit of a workout rofl. So thats the reason I didnt make dinner .. sitting down with a heat pack on my back to ease it up a little Hunny bought home some Chinese instead which I enjoyed Tomorrow I will try again .. although I do need to get into town to pick up my pack for the Walk on Sunday (bib with my number on etc) .. just seen they have sold out the spots so 14000 people will be walking or running this event (which has 6.5km, 10km & 20km categories) ... Im trying to raise funds for a medical research group .. (https://runforresearch2014.everydayh.../katts-krusade so if you know of anyone or want to pass it on please do

Determined to complete it regardless of the back and ankle injuries .. it is something I signed up for in December .. the first of 2 walks .. so will be giving it a go ... time to step out of my comfort zone really .. not great with crowds but I have a friend with me and we both keep each other grounded to avoid panicking

WATCH - I think you did great this week .. TOM n all

I know I'm a couple of days late, but I thought I'd put it up anyway, just to get myself back on track. Today is the FIRST day in over 2 weeks that I have stayed on plan. I feel hopeful once again that I CAN do this. So proud of all of you who have lost so much, in just a week! Embarrassed, I am (Yoda speak). I wrote about my foibles on my website which you can read about here (warning, God is mentioned) Still, it all has a good effect in that I have been "forced" to take a serious look at my motivations and I know I'm on the right track now. Thanks for listening

I still have one week that I can blame on my surgery.
I am starting my idea of boot camp and if I do not have a loss next week I want everyone to get on my case! I am here to get/give support for weightloss, not weight gain.

Good job everyone!
Dora it looks like we have got to show a loss next week! You are my partner in crime. Everytime I think of going off plan I will think of how I do not want to let my partner down. Katt was nice enough to start this thread so we could at least behave and get out of our rut! Thank you for posting a link. It was difficult to read of your loses in life. Let's make all our future loses be of weight!
Ferris because I am a slow loser I break my goals down to the next decade. I can not wait to get out of the 250's! When I started my journey I listed 16 goals not scale related. I have met 8 of those already. 12 pounds so far is great! Good job!
lemc way to go on the loss, but even more impressive is all that exercise!
Wana you are so inspiring! I ordered the Atkins book just because of you. I hope to use it with my approved foods since the diets are said to be similar. Mine totally avoids grains, even in the maintnence stage.
You go Larry! Isn't it great when you find a plan you love?
Silent good job hanging tough and not letting that bouncy scale get you down. Only thing going down is your weight!
WooHooo Erin! Nice to see that being sick all week you were still able to show a loss!
Watchout seems like TOM likes the .4 number. This too shall pass and next week will be oh so sweet!
Isles nice loss! Today is one day closer to Spring! Yes, I have cabin fever! How about you?
Katt never a boring day for you! How is the treadmilll saga going? I find it interesting you brought up your future skin surgery. I go back and forth on it. The slower I lose the less concerned I get. I am curious as to how I will feel at goal. Especially since my goal is undecided.
