WANNASKIPANDLAUGH - WTG!! I still have to set my pebbles up properly, but Im looking forward to seeing them all set up for sure Would love to see pics! And yay for hitting and passing the halfway mark!

FERRIS - Unfortunately have such a busy month coming up in Feb definitely no time for a holiday lol .. we will have to plan something for next summer and see if we can do a little SI travel I loved the jar idea as soon as a I saw it hence the reason I shared it ... just the physical appearance of it makes it a bit easier of a reminder of what you have achieved already ... especially when you reach a plateau ...

Spent a lovely day going for a drive with my hunny and daughter yesterday ... stopped at Pita Pit for dinner before we dropped my daughter off for her ride home ... then just came home and enjoyed the rest of the evening together Another relaxing day today ... going to do a little baking .. and Im going to attempt to make some falafel for my hunny ... never tried to make it before .. so that should be interesting lol

Nervous about weighing in tomorrow...had some salty things this weekend and didn't get to the gym as much due to meetings after work.

But will bite the bullet...I have been reading up on Atkins...might try that...still reading but think I need the structure.

Hello all... well my loss is slow but I did lose a pound... I think once I am able to walk every day it will be better... I am usually pretty close on my calories but I don't always get in the walking... I have been gardening some but I just don't think that does it for me like the walking. However, I will persevere... onward and downward...

NightKatt... I hope the earthquake did not hurt anyone you know! I have more pebbles in my LOSS jar than my Need to Lose jar HOORAY! Past 1/2 way

Isles... Atkins is what I do... Lost 78 lbs in a year and coulda lost more..but had some days...lol and I am 55.. so even being older you can lose on this.. Low Carb.. really Let us know what you decide!

PJV... 1 lb off is a wonderful thing! That is 1 lb less that you want to lose. A win in my book!

wannaskipandlaugh GREAT ....I bet you are skipping and laughing after that weigh in.

I think I have mentioned I did Dukan about a year ago and did well but got VERY constipated... and quit. In looking at Atkins I would think that would be less of a problem since you get to have fats. I took a look at the list of foods to eat and they are all ones I like... That's a plus. I did order the new Atkins book - should have it by Friday. In the meantime I will study the information I found online so I can get what I need at the grocery store.

Oh and I am WAY older than you...so ..... my problem is I just don't like preparing food anymore...I tend to eat junk instead....too tired when I get home. AND I know about planning...yadda yadda...but have excuses for that too.

So, right now I feel in a good place to move forward so I am going with it!!

Good morning everyone.

I am disappointed this week. My weight stayed the same. No Loss
I am the kind of guy that rushes in to FIX IT even when it may not be broken. Thoughts are going through my head, should I lower my calories?, should I raise my calories, or should I eliminate something? This is probably only a plateau, I have had them before and will again. Instead of an instant fix I have to remind myself that this too shall pass.

I JUST received my weight scale the other day. Here's what my weight's at right now.

January. 19th - 328
January. 20th - 326

I have a long way to go, but it seems like I'm on the right path. Hoping 2014 is my year of change!

ISLES - Its always interesting watching your posts lol .. I have looked at the Aitkins too .. but I am not a meat fan lol .. sorta loses that one for me lol .. don’t mind giving up the carbs .. but I prefer my veges lol. Im sure your weigh in will be fine I had to go look up Dukan lol .. never heard of that one … can understand your side effect though lol. I don’t think age has anything to do with your planning lol .. I feel the same way quite often too … not so bad when you have to cook for others .. but cooking just for me .. I tend to be tempted to just get some take out lol ..

PAM - Hun a pound is one less on your chart .. how can that be a bad thing? Im in awe of anyone that does gardening .. I have a black thumb lol .. I have even killed cactus lol … I was told you can’t kill one of those … obviously its that whole “Cant” thing lol .. I tend to do the opposite just to be a rebel lol.

WANNA - Wahooo … what a great result for you this week You are soooo gonna “DO IT” for this challenge The shake opened the cupboards in the kitchen .. fortunately I had cleared up the kitchen cupboards on Friday so they were all tidy and nothing was near the door lol. Only a few of my figurines fell off the shelf but none broke All my friends and family were ok too so that was ok .. fortunately Wellington was on a holiday on Monday so at least the CBD wouldn’t have been filled with people.

SILENT - Another great loss .. very steady going I hope you get well soon … poor thing .. I gather that is courtesy of that lovely weather you are having?

LARRY - Good maintenance this week .. think of it that way. I think just keep doing what you are doing for a couple more weeks and if the plateau doesn’t shift then maybe up your calories for a few days then drop them again just to remind your body what its supposed to be doing lol. Keep it up though .. still love your quote lol

TURTLE - I am taking pics of as many of my meals as I can so I can maybe use them in my cookbook for the meals section. I love your .6 trend lol .. you are definitely consistent

WATCH - Hey with TOM visiting any loss is a good one especially after your loss last week .. well done

UBEE - Ooops … a slight set back .. but don’t stress … maybe you should do what I do .. my treat days are Monday and Tuesday … if I am going to allow myself any treats for the week .. has to be one of those days .. then I have the next 5 to make up for it and work it off. You are doing fine and good on you for sticking to it instead of giving up

LEMC87 - Welcome on in . and a great start! I must ask .. did you get excited when you got your scale?? I know I did lol .. especially as it was a digital one so I can actually see it because with my vision I couldn’t see it well enough when I had one of the older style ones which had the pointer thingy that goes around rather than a digital face. Its not really a long way hun .. its all about a lifestyle change … so really its a path .. you will find bumps and twists and occasionally a roller coaster … but keep on keeping on and you will do great


Last night I had a gastric attack - I get reflux quite badly occasionally - so was not a good night for me ... and then it always knocks me back for a day ... but feeling better now .. I hate the whole thing .. for ages I have nothing happening and then suddenly Im sensitive to everything! It always stresses out my hunny cos he can't help me but he is wonderful about it.

Anyway .. feeling better now and able to move again .. so I did some cleaning up in the kitchen .. and then made a lovely Cottage Pie for dinner .. as its a cold and rainy night was a nice comfort meal .. and happily no reaction to it I also made a small batch of caramel cookies for supper and hunny is happier about that lol. Tomorrow is baking day which is always exhausting .. so will sort out the pics for those when I have finished and have to work out the calories etc .. trying to turn my original recipe book into a healthier one .. well .. a lower calorie one anyway lol .. so I need to start taking pics instead of just making them lol .. then I think I am visiting friends to distribute the baking so I get it out of my house lol.

Right .. off to watch Judge Judy and do a little cross stitch before bed .. so tired after last night lol
