300 Lb Club

Hello all

As of this morning I weighted in at 329 lbs ..suks... I had the lap band done back in 2005.. Went from Surgery weight of 323 to 267 lbs... Had a rhythm going.. I worked 2PM x 10 PM so I worked out every morning.. Had my appts with the DR and my diet was a mix of LC on and off... I ate basically 4-5 oz in a meal.... then my hours work hours change at work .. I now worked 8X5pm... I no longer hit the gym and my visits to the Drs office was none... I regained my weight and my High blood pressure is back..

Now I am looking for the right plan for me....

Would like to hear from those that are having success on there weight loss and what type of plan they are on. I am going to reach at least 250 lbs just cant say when....

I am researching the Ideal protein diet ( alternative) I don't have 500 dollars to spend but I think if I can put it together I can find alternate foods
and still have positive results....I hope

Hi Joe and welcome!!! :welcome3:

I went to the dr back in April and he put me on 1700 calories, exercise at least 150 min a week, Vitamin D and magnesium supplements. About mid May I started walking 2-3 miles per day and held my calories to about 1550 -1650 calories... not on purpose really was just not as hungry... since starting this I have lost 55 pounds with this lifestyle plan and 72 overall down from my highest weight of 390... I eat what I like and I do not deprive myself... mind you if I feel weak at a particular time then I just wont go around the food... ie work or whatever... when I feel strong I allow myself a small portion of whatever it is that would normally make me weak just so I do not feel deprived... I mean I have to learn to live with this stuff right?... the main thing I do is that I count every bite as best I can... and if necessary I compensate by eating a lighter dinner or walking more if I have had more than I should have... There have only been 2-3 times since April that I have come out on the wrong end of the calories... I also never beat myself up over too much of anything... and will start right back the next day eating on plan... (this is the first time in my life that I have been able to do this with any amount of success)...

that is my plan in a nutshell... I know you have to explore and do what works for you... something I eat on my plan might be a trigger food for you... I will say this... my plan would probably bore some people... but it is fairly balanced...

I wish you all the best and hope you will hang out on the boards especially when you need motivation or just someone to listen to you...

counting calories works for me as long as I am faithful with it. My dr wants me on 1200 calories and exercising at least 30 min a day. I also have to drink all my water to lose weight...100oz. Water is a key for me but everyone doesnt need as much water as I do.

I think I've been successful by cutting out sweets and refined carbs as much as possible. It's now to the point where I don't want them at all...or if I do indulgde, a bite or two is completely satisfying whereas in the past, it was more like a slice or two! lol

I try to keep my overall calories around 1,500 and eat as many fruits and veggies as possible. And I also drink lots of water too.

Good luck Bigjoe! We all know you can do it!
