Progress picture?
How often do you guys take pictures to document your weightloss? I swear I can only tell when I see two side-by-side pictures of myself. My husband just took a new one of me last night and holy crap, you can sure see the difference in just one month! To the day, actually ;) This has been my biggest motivation thus far!:cb:

Thats awesome! 40lbs~ is nothing to laugh at! That is some serious progress.
I weigh every day, measure every week and take pictures every month. My official weigh in days are Mondays (that might get changed to Sundays now that I'm lifting). I try to keep it weekly and exactly a month although life gets in the way sometimes. I took before pictures when I was at 252, but my phone got reset and I lost them :(. I did take pictures starting my weight lifting. So at least I have that to go by. Congrats on your loss and whatever works best for you is great! Motivation is key and you'd found it. Keep at 'er! :broc: |
I take them when I'm feeling pretty rad. So, it's really up to you. I think once a month really works so you can see yourself by the month.

I usually took them every 15 pounds lost? But once a month, is a great idea! Pictures are really the best mind settling tool. I still to this day struggle with self body image, but looking back on the pictures (which I still do time to time) helps a lot! I don't know where I would be if I didn't take them. So yes, take them once a month, every 10-20 pounds lost. It really helps in the end!

This is a sore subject for me. I had our teenager take before pictures for me. She deleted them because they were not flattering and she didn't think I would lose weight. I did not find out until I had lost almost 20% of my starting weight and wanted to compare. I hid from the camera all these years but I am going to try to find one at my heaviest. I think I will start taking them every 20 pounds now.

I haven't taken a pic yet. Guess I should do that! Congrats on your success! That is wonderful!

I take them once a month

I don't take them very often because when I do I really do not see that much of a difference. I took one at my highest, another when I lost about 90 pounds and again this past Dec at about 120 pounds lost. I plan to take another one when I have lost 150 pounds. I sure hope at that time I see a difference.
