Default Just found you guys today.

So I've been 300lbs or more since I was about 16. Thats 11 years now and I'm finally REALLY working to lose weight. About 3 years ago I was at 380lbs and I had enough. I started working on it and lost to 360lbs in about 2 months. I was excited and glad I was on track, then... I got pregnant. I hadn't been able to get pregnant for 5 years and I had just given up on it. So I had her and then I had postpartum depression. I didn't realize at the time but now I look back and can clearly see it. So I stayed right at 360 then, I got pregnant again. I had my third and last baby just after Thanksgiving. After having the baby I weighed 354lbs and decided it was time to get serious again. Since then I've managed to lose 50lbs. I'm thrilled and excited about it. I'm almost 300lbs which I havent seen in about 8 years now. It's been awesome to discover that I actually feel better now. I know you hear people say they lost weight and magically felt better, but I never REALLY believed that. SO I figure if I lost 50lbs, and Im still at 300lbs... I can't wait to see how I feel when I get to 200lbs.

I figure since I found you guys I now have a group of people who know what I'm going through. I love my friends and family but lets face it, they have no clue what it takes.

and
on your loss so far! I know what you mean about feeling better, I have lost a about 12 lbs, it doesn't show yet, but I FEEL better, I walk faster than I ever used to (Don't get winded quite as fast anymore) It might be a placebo effect, or it might not. Who cares, if you are feeling good about what you are doing, then keep doing it (unless you're doing crack or speed or something silly like that! ) You have come to the right place for the best support system, friends and family sometimes just don't cut it!

Good luck on the rest of your Journey, looking forward to hearing about your progress

Hi! My story is similar to yours (except for the pregnancies). I started out last fall at 366, and am now down to 313. I definitely noticed that I feel better.

I'm in the process of losing weight in order to get pregnant. We tried to get pregnant to no avail last year, and then I decided that losing some weight would probably help out in all regards. Well, I do feel that losing some weight did help me get pregnant (I got pregnant in November, but the little guy decided not to stick around ). I am going to lose some more, so that I can give the next baby a better shot when we start trying again. I definitely feel like the weight loss boosted my fertility, and I was able to get off of my hypertension meds too.

Sorry this post went so far off topic. Congrats on your weight loss.

Im sorry to hear about your lost little one. I can't imagine going through that. I think that when I was able to get pregnant it was because I had lost that weight. I hope that you soon find your self in a motherly way =D

Thanksevery one for the warm welcome!

Thank you very much for your condolences.

Hopefully, I can get down into the 200's in the next month or so. That would be very nice.

Good luck to you!

Hi I also have a similar story - lost weight got pregnant gained it back plus some - lost half what I gained had child #2 gained more then before got post natal depression (think they called it that because of when it happened) gained more again, second child was so long - note not big or heavy that she took up so much room she started to split my lower abdominals -its only just started to heal up and she is now 6

the least I have ever weighed was when I was 18 was 198 pounds I would love to get back down to 200 pounds or even less..
I have always been the overweight one.. it would be nice not to be that for a change..

and may I say congrats on finding this site I did too only yesterday and so far have found a lot of useful information and inspiring reading here
