Somethings gotta change

  • Seriously, something has to change. Most of my life I've been overweight but not overly overweight. Then in high school I started gaining lots of weight. I've tried all kinds of diets and exercises and I've never been able to stick to them. Motivation is my main problem. I have a hard time staying motivated. Everyone in my family is so negative. I try getting people to lose weight with me but no one wants to change. I really need to lose weight. Will anyone help?
  • Welcome ppeck!!!

Joining 3FC was one of the best things you could have done! This site keeps me on plan and on track every single day. Any time I am tempted to go off plan, I always think to myself "ww3fcd"---what would 3fc do?? And of course, even if I didn't admit it here that I went off plan, my scale gladly keeps track for me.

Have you chosen a new meal and exercise plan yet? I track my calories on myfitnesspal.com and love it. I also exercise at least 30 mins. a day but try to get closer to 45mins to an hour.

I hope you log on more often and participate with us, we are happy you are here.

A new challenge started today that goes from today to April 1st. if you'd like to join in that. My goal is to lose 18lbs in that time and I hope I can do it!
  • This site is full of great people and support. In addition to reading and posting here, I've also been visiting a lot of blogs you see in people's signatures. It's just nice to read about people going through some of the same things I am.
  • Hi! I live in Maryland also. I started gaining weight when I hit puberty and it just got worse and worse for me as well. When I hit 275 I went on a diet eating 1200 calories and working out really hard 3 times a week. I lost about 60 pounds in 6 months. I kept it off for quite a while too...then I started dating a guy who would only eat fast food..he stayed skinny...I got fat again. It took a long time but this time I ended up over 300 pounds. I have only ever seemed to have the will power to lose a lot of weight that one time in my life. I would diet and give up over and over. I am on medifast now and lost 14 pounds in 10 days. Its tough but its working.

Anyways...its a battle that is never truly won for some of us. We will always have to be on top of our diet if we want to be healthy...so I guess its good to get all the support you can get. This place seems really cool, I just joined myself.

  • Ahhhh the "motivation" word... so many people are looking for motivation, which is great when it is here but pretty much always deserts us. I recommend you focus on making a *decision* and becoming *committed* to doing it whether or not the motivation is there.

This is a great site for support... glad you are here. You can do this
