Anyone doing P90X?

  • Hi folks, I'm new to the boards!

I'm currently on my 3rd week of P90X and was wondering if anyone else has completed it, could share their experience with it, or is in the middle of it too? Would really love a buddy.
  • I am on day 3 now

Of course, I am modifying it a bit so that its easier for me to get done,

    Ex: those sphinx pushups >.>

    Keeo up the good work!
  • Awesome, I'm on Week 4, Day 1. Hope we both make it through.
  • My husband and I have wanted buy this program for sometime, but have been afraid that it would be a waste if we were not able to do most of the exercises. Is it easily adaptable for people who are just starting out and still significantly overweight?
  • i want to try insanity! I did it for a bit during the summer but Im thinking of starting back up again. I heard p90x is a bit easier, maybe i should start there? insanity definitely KILLED me... which is probably y i didnt stick w it very long ...
  • I just started my 2nd round of P90X yesterday. I gained muscle and lost weight the last time I did this, I'm hoping to have better results this time because I'll be focusing more on my diet as well as doing the exercise.

If anyone else is doing this, maybe we can motivate each other.
  • Always wanted to do one of those hard core burning workouts like P90X or Insanity, but There's no way I could try and keep up with it. *Sigh* maybe someday! Good Luck Y'all!
  • TPA Sun-

Well I don't know your circumstances but you might be surprised at how accessible P90X is! There are some people who were very big to start and then lost a ton of weight thanks to P90X and a good diet. If you look on the net for P90X success stories, look specifically at Richard Neal, Tommy Mygrant and Jeremy Yost because they were all very big and lost a lot of weight but more to the point they are ripped now and healthy. I modify the moves to compensate for not being that fit and for being overweight, and that's the nice thing about the program is they show modifications that people can use.

Insanity, on the other hand...I did almost a full round of it but it just trashed my knees. I'm still too big to be jumping around like that. Maybe I'll try it again after I lose some more weight. Who knows, maybe I just have weak knees. It seems like there are tons of people who succeed on that program as well, but it wasn't for me. Yet.
