Talking Scale and Non-Scale Victory

I'm mostly a lurker here, but I wanted to post this because I know alot of you will get it more than any other place on the board.

My ankles are no longer swollen and my feet don't look like sausages in sandals anymore. I don't have to stuff them and pull and tug to get them to fit.

I hit my summer weight loss goal a month early. In a good place.

Congrats! I'm so impressed with your loss and how well you met your goal - a month early. In fact, I may be a bit jealous. And isn't it interesting how even our feet change? I'm wearing gladiator sandals today that never would have fit me just 25 lbs ago. I love looking down at my feet right now. (It helps that I've painted my toenails a bright lemon-lime color, but...)

Here's to your victories now and in the future.

I was excited the first time I looked down and saw this little ridgy looking thing around my ankle. I kept thinking "d@mn girl, you got a sexy foot." I know it's stupid, but I had my own foot fetish over my own foot for like a week. And all I wore was sandals that week! Go girl! Keep up the good work.

When I started my journey in 2008 my feet were too wide to wear Crocs - and Crocs are really wide. That was one of my first NSVs - to wear Crocs. Now my feet have gone down almost 2 full sizes, 13 to 11. You know how hard it is to find size 13 women's shoes?!

Good job!!!

It's amazing the small changes that nobody else would realise. I can now paint my own toenails.....first time in ages! Nobody gives a foot massage like my 16 year old daughter so I might not let on I don't need her to paint my nails anymore!
This might be TMI but I actually had tears in my eyes the day I could wipe my butt without contorting myself into knots.......horrible to think of but heck...these things make a difference!

Its the little things..I can walk up 3 steps without knee twinging, I don't avoid steps...I used to take the longest way whereever i was to avoid steps..(I don't seek them out lol). My house is cleaner, I'm more willing to run out the car if I forget something. Yeah I'm happy about the scale, but when the scale and I are not on the same page I still have these things to get me through.

I just HAD to comment on this because I was just thinking about this today when I was in the bathroom and noticed that it was easier twisting and reaching my arm back there! HAAHAHA!! These things really DO make a difference!!
