My start today is going good! Later will begin one of my fitness video and see how much I can do.Its an hour low impact aerobics. I can do it!! I have time on me..Am a stay at home caregiver to my family and can not make anymore excuses!! Time for me on shaping up!!

You are welcome Liliann, always glad to see new faces. Sometimes we are a little slow around here, but that is because some of our ladies are super busy with work etc. I am retired so I have plenty of time unless I have visitors. (which is often at times). You can do it! I see you are ready to start with exercise now. Good going! :carrot:

Another lb. gone. I am at the lowest weight I have been since???? Not that it is all that low. LOL! Just hope it keeps up this pace.

welcome liliann- Just take it one day at a time.I am a stay at home caregiver also. I also run and in home daycare.

ruth- HUGS!! Way to go on being at your lowest weight in ages!! woo hoo!!Im so thrilled for you!! Keep going!!

Well my sister got more bad news yesterday. She has MRSA and now also was told she will need a lung transplant. Im scared and trying to be strong for her. She is only 55. As Carol reminded me yesterday its a cruel reminder of how we have to take care of our health!

Im back to jumping on the minitramp...well jogging really on it. My knee is doing great so far. I cant wait to see the inches disappear!!

Morning all! Yes - Debbie's sister's health is such a reminder - we must take care of ourselves. I think we are all busy taking care of others - time for us too!

Ruth - that is the best news I've heard today, think tomorrow I won't turn on the TV and just listen to the broadcast of "Ruth's Good News".

Hi everyone:

I've started training again, which has had the unexpected side effect of helping me to control my eating. Except for last night, when good intentions were my downfall. I'm hoping to get back to pre-vacation weight before Christmas, and I'd love to lose at least half of that by December 3 for an enormous party that we attend every year. I'm guessing no new dress this year, as I've not had the success I had last year, but new shoes, for sure :)

Back from w/i. Lost another 1.6 lbs last week. (Also went down another point from my daily WW points allowance).

Hey Angela ...... 288.2 lbs. Sound familiar? Guess we are still losing at just about the same rate.

I am having a tough time with my start,,Was doing good yesterday,but slip up last night and today..Family stress and must stop using food to cope.it does not help at all. Thank God for a new day to get back on plan!!

Ruth, WTG!!! I'm just a teeny bit lower than I've been since, um, 2001. YAY for us!!!!

I've so totally lost my exercise momentum that I'm starting over at 10 minutes a day. Have to keep healthy over the holidays--and now's the time to gear up.

Weight's been continuing to come off slowly, and I realize that I've managed to change some eating habits--but exercise isn't yet a habit.

I'm also going to try to get back to checking in with you all daily. I spend a LOT of time helping my students, not enough time helping myself. That goes for you too, Heather!

Okay, I have a 10-page paper to finish over the next two days, so I'm going to get writing. See y'all soon.

Thanks for all the prayers for my sister. Im scared but trying to be strong for her. Please go to the dr regularly and let them check you over. She was afraid to go to the dr and let this health issue go untreated for yrs.

I was craving butter beans yesterday so I measured out a serving. Wow 100 calories per serving. They hit the spot and Im feeding them to the kids with lunch today. I dusted off the weight system in the basement and used it yesterday morning while changing out loads of laundry. WOO HOO

Good Morning all - today is an extra day off work for me. Mani/pedi with a friend, catching up on photo albums (I'm 2 trips behind) and a nice pot of soup to warm me up. Starting to think of easy meals for DH to fix when I have surgery - he's pretty good in the kitchen but doesn't realize you don't have to use fat to cook everything.

I'll be in the car a lot so I've stocked up on fruit to snack on. Other than that it should be a no challenge (I say that now :dizzy:) weekend.

Today it's off to the grocery store for ONLY what's on the list.

I love this! It rings to true for so many of us.

Busy day today, haircut then a baby shower for a very long awaited little guy - he won't be here for a few months but mom and dad have had lots of trouble getting/staying pregnant. It's a day we've all waited a long time for. I will celebrate without food!

Think it might be the impending time change and knowing I have to move my meals later. I've got my fruit, might try some hot tea to keep my hands busy and just try really hard to stay in control. :tape:

I am not loving this time change! I will be hungry at odd times and I never sleep at night, so that won't change probably. LOL! I hate having to adjust.

The scales have settled down for now. It is just sitting there at the same old same old. I should be happy with the results I have gotten though. :)

We celebrated my parents 50th wedding anv yesterday. It was awesome! The cake was beautiful and tasted wonderful.I always get stuck as the cake server. Its a job I hate!! I did great and chose a tiny piece for myself and didnt touch another slice. My sil tried to send a huge hunk home with me and I refused. I am proud to say I was POP yesterday.
Today will be church and then housework. Thinking its getting close to time to put Christmas out. Maybe next weekend. We are celebrating with our kids on thanksgiving weekend. We had to change things up because our new addition is arrive right before Christmas.

Big dinner out last night. Didn't even try to stay OP -- though I did go to the gym.

I think I'm ready to try to buckle down again some more. The worst of work should be over for a couple of months.

I hate the time change - I prefer the light at the end of the day, plus, my dogs wake me up the same time every day anyway...

DEB: Good job with the anniversary. Your parents should be very proud of the work they've done to stay together 50 yrs. It takes more than love but love is the glue that holds them together.

Thinking of you all. Hanging in here, shooting for a POP week. My big challenge at the moment is getting back to exercise. I've been managing to get at least 10 minutes of intentional exercise a day so far in November, which is better than the nothing consistent I was getting in October.

Gotta get back to getting ready for tomorrow's classes. Have a great Monday, everybody!

Exercise is still a challenge - seems like I'm getting an hour in about twice a week. Needs to be more consistent - hit a pothole - no a canyon on Saturday. Felt awesome to be POP yesterday.

Healthy eating seems to be getting easier. Im so thankful. I plan to take the kids on a long walk today and enjoy one more day of beautiful weather before the cold yucky rain comes.
We hung our outside greenery yesterday.I felt silly hanging it with my flowers still in full bloom. I just need to get a head start on the season in order to be in the right frame of mind by Thanksgiving weekend when we will celebrate Christmas with our kids and grandkids. My dil is due the week of Christmas and she wont be up to traveling this year. So this is a one time thing to have it early. Im kinda sad but what else can you do.

Had a rough weekend -- I pulled a muscle underneath my shoulder blade last week. Not when I was training, no, nothing like that -- when I was asleep. Seriously. So when I woke up I couldn't turn my head, etc. Thought it was just a stiff neck and went about my day, but by the time it was yoga time, I had to admit to myself that it was getting worse, not better. It's almost done complaining today -- we decided to skip training last Friday and then again today, so that I can be fully healed and not aggravate it. I hate stuff like this -- couldn't turn my head, couldn't nod, couldn't look to the side...yuck. Glad it's almost better -- I think I'm about 85% today. And then back to training next week!

We also have all of a sudden gotten a bunch of friends wanting to go out to dinner with us -- which is simultaneously awesome and difficult on both budgets -- $$$ and calories. It happens at the end of every year, when people start thinking about the holidays and about how we haven't seen each other in about 6 months, and there you go. Good to see everyone! Wish it weren't all nice cozy wintry food :p

The weather, at least, has been fabulous! I've actually gotten my husband out walking with me once! And need to get us both moving more :) But I am starting to believe that it will happen. We both want to get back to pre-post-holiday depression weight. It's only been a couple months, but it feels like we've been off plan for years -- and I can't fit my nice new pants any more :( Nothing like closet emergencies to push you forward, I guess, except that I'm kind of regretting donating all my old clothes -- we're heading into social season and I have pretty much nothing to wear :-S Maybe that's what I was on plan dietarily yesterday and today -- now to bring together the trifecta of health: exercise, diet, and sleep.

Here's a helping hand to anyone who needs one. Between us all, we should be able to climb this mountain together, right?

Things are going good on the food front. Exercise is happening just not as often as it needs to.
OUr pretty weather is gone, it has been replaced with rain. We are starting out the day near 70 and will only be near 50 by afternoon. YUCK...we got spoilt!

Weigh in morning. We'll reach 70 later today. A short, cold front arrives some time tomorrow. Thank heavens I can wear my usual, light weight summer slacks and not have to change into heavy jeans or sweats at WW before jumping back into the car and rushing the dog to her agility class. I'll have to switch my WW meeting day when it gets too cold to leave the dog in the car. Too little time and too many miles to be able to go home, change and pick up the dog and ..... get to her class on time.

I'll check back in this afternoon.

The scale and I are not getting along. Unless the jump is water weight from the sore kickboxing muscles I'm not sure what's going on.

Winter is here I think - we had heavy rain for two days and a skiff of snow this morning.

Note to self:
Don't eat salt potatoes with dinner on the evening before weigh in.

I was psyched to reach my 10% goal today so I was quite shocked when I got off the scale. Managed to gain 2 lbs. since last week. Arrrrrrrgh! Most of it, I assume, from salt potatoes that came with chicken from a fire dept. BBQ on Sunday. They are very small 'tatoes cooked in brine. I had 3 on Sunday and the last 2 with dinner yesterday.

I think I'd better measure, rather than eyeball, my portions this week too. I was getting too comfortable with my eating. Time to buckle down and follow the rules.

I have good news, my scale moved down a half of pound today. It puts me at a new low for the past months. Im excited!
Eating has been perfect the past week or so, exercise has been happening most days. My IBS has kicked in full force in the past couple of days.I will not go to starchy foods to recover but just limit my raw fruits and veggies. I started back on my med for it.I go for months at times with no signs of flare ups.
I have a baby shower on sat and a pampered chef party to go to. I will limit my food intake at both.
Anyone got big holiday plans. Im trying to decide if I will cook for hubby and I or if we will go out to eat. Kids all have plans with inlaws this year.

Thanks ladies...I have been here so many times before! I want to see them gone fast. I plan on working down to the teens again. I got as low as 212 a few yrs ago before I stalled and started regaining. I plan to go all the way down to goal this time!
