Hi all,

the weather is beautiful this morning but cool. You would not believe the devastation that went on so close to us and left us unscathed. Whole communities are gone. Passed very close to where my daughter and family live. It is just heartbreaking to see all of that. It leveled places very close to my sisters home also. We are so lucky and God blessed. I am very thankful!

Eating is not what it should be this weekend, sorry Deb. I went a little nutso on pizza. I wanted to stay Op with Ya though. I promise to be sane tomorrow and plan a weeks menu.

How is the pup Heather? Carol how is your DH doing?

Hello Learn, Walrus, Angela, Barb and all others reading this.

If you are a praying person, please say a prayer for all of those here in the southeast that lost everything, including loved ones. Ruth

Afternoon All!
OMG! It's May already! I'm gonna go all out to make this the best month ever.
I'm starting with seeing a new doctor tomorrow. I have high hopes for this doctor, she was my mother's and after taking my mom to see her for the last 5 years I know what she's like.
Had a great OP month (April) and got a lot accomplished.

Ruth- Everyone in your area (in all the tornado ravaged areas) is in my prayers. I see it on the news and just can't believe how bad it is.

Heather- How's puppy? Thank you for getting #286 started.

Carol- How's puppy's tail doing? And how is Ed doing?

dgramie- Hope your getting some outside time this weekend. I know how much you enjoy it.

To everyone else "Hi".

Let's have a great week everyone!

Learn

Ruth - the devastation is beyond belief - I am so glad you and yours are safe. Our hearts and prayers reach out for those families affected. We were in an EF4 in 2003 and know the stress surrounding it. Thanks for stopping in to let us know you are safe.

Learn - I think everyone here is healed. DH has his next surgery scheduled for July 8. So glad you are able to be back in the pool - it's 49 here right now - I think the pool water is warmer than that - gonna be awhile before it's time to swim around here other than for the pups.

Speaking of pups - Heather - how is your little guy doing? Thanks for starting the new thread!

Debbie - let's make it a POP month! So far the weekend has been POP and don't think I should have any problem finishing it that way!

Lily - hope you're doing well - hope to see you soon.

Big wave to Walrus, Angela, Barb and all the other MIAs.

Stay strong!

Hi everyone! I hope you all enjoyed the weekend and are ready for May!!

Ruth -- So glad you're safe! The devastation really is horrifying!!

My dog is doing great!! He seems to be in no pain, his incision is slowing becoming less swollen... he's playful... great! I talked to the surgeon about the biopsy and I think when I talk to the oncologist tomorrow we'll have a good prognosis with radiation treatment. However, I am still not looking forward to that whole deal...

I have no idea if I'm on plan or not (meaning I'm probably not). I've been working all weekend...

ruth- Your area has been in my prayers and will continue to be.
We are dealing with horrible flooding. My roof(new) is leaking and the guy thought he had it fixed but the 3 new inches of rain last night showed otherwise. We have a stinky wet basement but no standing water now. Roads are closed all around us and school is cancelled.

Carol- I want and sooo need a POP month. I think looking back at what I use to do is going to help. I didnt even think about eating off a plate twice the size as what I used when I was losing.

Heather- glad the pup is healing. Have a great week.

learn- No I didnt get time outside all we seem to get is rain. WE did have a few hours of sun on friday but I was working and then on sat we had a half day of sunshine but I was busy spoiling my youngest grandbaby.

Lets make a plan and make it a POP month!

Hi all.

I'm officially stalled. I've really been eating OP. OP isn't doing it, so I guess the plan isn't right, but I'm not sure what to change.

I'm going to start with more exercise and see where that gets me.

Skipping personal right now, but I'll be back later. You're all in my thoughts!

Angela

Morning all -- May is going to be a roller coaster. And I think I am moving to a sleep schedule that will have me waking up at 4am...

I'm struggling with food and exercise but right now they aren't my priority.

On the plus side, my dog is doing well, and we have a plan to start radiation treatment in a couple of weeks (part of why the early schedule)...

So, I won't be around a lot this month!! PM me if you need anything!!!

Had lunch with a friend yesterday at the mexican restraunt. It was so nice to be out in the middle of the day. I truly miss the kids I keep but did enjoy the break. I ate sensible and only had 12 chips but the scales are still up 2lbs today. I will drink lots of water today.

Water around us is due to crest on Wednesday. Hopefully then it will start going down and roads can open back up. For now there is only one road coming into our county that is passable.

Hi Angela
The new doctor was very thorough. She's referred me to a ankle/foot specialist for my achilles tendon problem. That appt. is tomorrow, next day is mammogram (yuk!). Then there's bloodwork in about 3 weeks, a week later I see her again. She will then do an EKG in her office because she heard something when she listened to my heart. I think she will be just what I'm looking for (quality care).
Thank you for asking.

I loved the pilates time last night at the FIT Club - I think I will look for a newbie class to learn proper technique. I also loved ridding myself of 8.4 lbs of water weight from last weeks steroids.

Smile

Good morning, How are all of you this morning? I am feeling pretty darn good! The scale finally gave up a lb or two.

Barbara Jean, I was trying to place you from sometime in the past. Memory is not that good. so tell us about you, maybe that will jog my memory. LOL!

Carol, congrats on the weight loss even if it was all water. I know that makes you feel better. I hate feeling full and bloated!

Learn, I have had that foot thing and it is painful! I found that icing my ankle helped a lot, that and staying off the foot as much as possible. The Dr. had me get athlectic shoes to wear with air...like nike. I hated wearing those everywhere, but they really did make it all better.

Deb, Hope your water problem is solved soon. I would be afraid to leave home, afraid I couldn't get back again. LOL! Nice that you enjoyed a day out with a friend. We all need a break now and then. My DH is retired and believe me sometimes we need a break from each other.

Angela, maybe you need to try a lower calorie count for a few days and see if that helps? You could try lowering carbs. Not very helpful am I? It drives me nuts trying to figure out how to lose a few lbs. I hope you can find the answer.

Heather, We will miss you! I hope the treatments do the job for your pup.

I think I am caught up with everyone now. A big hi to walrus, BarbinPA and all of those lurking! Ruth
