Stubborn thigh rolls
How in the world can I get rid or lose weight in my thighs? I gained so much weight that my thighs have these little rolls that drive me crazy and are disgusting to me. HELP!!!!

Sadly, it is a myth that you can target 1 specific spot and magically make THAT spot lose weight. When you work out, you burn calories for your whole body and the magic of our internal chemistry decides where the fat comes from. The good news is that when you target one area for strength training, you will build muscle, and add shape to that area which can help with sagging skin (muscle takes up that space) and can also make the appearance of fat in the area smooth out a bit as it contours around the muscle.
My thighs and tummy have always been my largest problem. My thighs looked like I had over-sized softballs of fat hanging off of them. Even though I have lost 150+, I still have a roll on them (and my stomach still hangs over). They look 1000x better, but the yucky roll is still there. I still have 40+ pounds to go though so who knows what is going to happen in the next year. |
Don't get me wrong the rolls are getting smaller but in the end I will have to have the skin removed. But they disgust me because they are a constant reminder of what I allowed myself to become.:?:

Let e just tell you that after losing 100lbs... my body is exactly the same! I mean, its smaller. BUT its all flab and cottage cheese (TMI but oh WELL!) just a shrunk down version of that. I work out at least 6 days a week. Im confident that eventually I will look better. Some days I dont mind it and some days I think... it sure would be nice to look good naked. Just keep at it!

I know how you feel. My thighs and hips are the biggest part of me. Like seriously my waist is like 40in and my hips are like 63. It's insane. I can't wait to lose my thigh rolls. They are the ugliest part of my body. It looks like Christmas Hams. It gets better though. Eventually, you will look down and wonder where they went.

a LONG LONG time ago, I read Susan Powder's book...I think it was in the early 90s...and to this day I remember her talking about how she was huge and couldnt walk but just kept doing it and she was able to go longer and longer...then one day she realised her thighs didnt rub together anymore.....
I have the same rolls. I worry that I will lose all the weight and still have them...then I remember that Catherine's sells Spanx LOL I would suggest not letting yourself worry about it...try to forget about it....and one day, you never know, they might just not be there anymore! |
