I have always been heavy. No, not heavy, just FAT. I always thought there was plenty of time to lose weight. And then I just had my 35th birthday and thought, "What am I waiting for, and how did I get this out of control?"
I am at my heaviest weight, 307. A big eye opener was the health fair last week at work. My cholesterol and blood sugar were very good, but my blood pressure was so high that I had to promise to see a doctor within 48 hours. There has to be a better way to live.
Dieting has never worked for me, and rather than continuing to do the same thing over and over again, I am trying something new.
I am changing my lifestyle and eating habits, not going on a diet. I need to stop the soda, the fast food, the high sodium frozen meals, and the super sugary snacks. I know I will not be perfect and will make mistakes, but I will pick myself up and keep going.
And I will acknowledge I need help and support. And that I what I am hoping to find here, with an amazing group of people.
