We are a group of individuals who weigh or have weighed 300+, or near there. This group was formed to provide a place for others like us to find support, inspiration, and hope. We are aware of the distinct problems that come with weighing over 300 lbs.

We want to invite everyone (roosters as well as chicks!) to join us in our journey. We share laughter and tears, heartaches and fears ... joys and celebrations. We also share what works for us and what doesn't.

We know the thread can move very quickly, and that people often make "personal" remarks and keep a number of conversations going. Please feel free to contribute even if you can't make personal comments all the time.

Finally, we also have several extra threads going on simutaneously such as Monthly Challenges, Weekly Weigh-ins, Recipes, Bios, Photos, Exercise, Info for Getting Started and more. Many of these threads are stickied at the top of the page. Please feel free to check them all out.

We have found this thread to be more than just a support group... we have found it to become a home. We invite you to join us

Goodness anyhow...Hope all is well. We had a short micro burst last night. Rain for about 8 min :(. Dang ole mother nature needs to give us something!

Went to my sister yesterday. My cousin turned 18. He was the one we were raising for a while when his mom was in prison. She is out now so we had a swim party for him.

Hiya my Peeps!

I'm so tired this morning. I spent all day Saturday with my little sister at her condo pool party. She was one of the coordinators. My other little sis was visiting. We just hung out and got sun. The pool water was WARM. I spent 13 hrs there.. geesh. Of course, got nothing done at my house. I did super-sunscreen myself, so no burns (yay!). Also taking Cipro for my UTI and didn't want to have any nasty burns because of sun sensitivity from that. Sunday, I got the lawns picked up and mowed. I felt like I was going to have a heat stroke and I was doing this from 8:30-10:30 in the morning.

Lindy, w00t! You are HOME! I know you feel like a truck hit you, but I'm sure you like being in your own bed with your own stuff.

Cyn, did you have a good swim party? I love swimming. We had the same micro burst of rain.

On a positive note, the mockingbird didn't peck my head when I left this morning. There will be ample opportunity this evening when I get home hehe.

I am also tired because a sweet heavy loving kitteh was making dough on me this morning around 2 am and woke me up. He did it again a few times later. Silly kitty. We played mousie-under-da-covers this morning and he begged to go outside with the dogs (nope.. not allowed).
