Stiff and sore...what do you use?

So, I need to lose weight (well duh!), and get a new bed. All of that is going to take a bit of time. In the meantime, what do some of you use to help with the stiffness and soreness? I have a lot of work I need to do this weekend, and I don't want to walk around feeling so stiff.

What over the counter medicines do some of you use? Also, I cannot use bengay as I don't want to smell like a medicine cabinet.

I apologize in advance if this is not an approved topic.

I am going to make a suggestion that I don't know whether it will help you or not--but it worked for me with stiffness and soreness, near about the same weight.

I quit sugar and white refined junk. Within a month, my body felt far more mobile, agile, and less sore. Aches in my knees and back went away, I no longer got up in the morning feeling stiff and sore from my bed. I slept better and more restfully and deeper, too.

What if you committed to going off of sugar and white refined stuff for 30 days, and see what happens to your aches and pains? It's a free and easy test to see if that's part of what makes you hurt.

I have accomplished that (a few not so good days here and there), but I feel it has affected my sinuses and my hunger issue more than the aches. :( I think I just need a new bed, and to do more stretches. I am going to do some when I get home.

ALCOHOL! It's over the counter too. hehehe, just kidding.. seriously, I don't drink.

Aches and pains.. nothing.. just move again - wait, I lied.... WATER, lotsa water helps flush the lactic acid out that causes soreness. Moving and drinking water are the only way for them to go away. Those pains are the tear down and build up of new muscle.

Hugs,
Ratkity

Water and... Arnica. Anything with Arnica. Cream, tablets, anything.

Careful with the tablets, arnica can be toxic. I heard the creams are good though.

I know I keep saying this but it works-yoga. I started doing it when I weight 30 more pounds than you do know. It works.

I am going to go home tonight and do it! I just feel this motivation to do some stretches on the floor...not sure the last time I did that. :)

I'll tell you which ones have worked for me

Yoga for Weight loss by Suzanne Deaton-this one lasts 45 minutes and focuses on stretching, relaxation, and toning

My new favorite is Candlelight Yoga-It's the most relaxing one I've ever done. Yesterday I woke up with back pain, popped on the Candlelight yoga and my pain was gone after the first ten minutes. Felt great all day afterward, no aches and pains at all.

Oh yes it is! Totally forgot she's likely in the US. It is pretty controlled up here.

Very low dose and not readily available.

Sorry should have clarified.

Definitely water and ever since I took out sugar and grain from my diet I have been better. The more you move the less you'll ache usually, sitting for long periods of time is torture for your joints and muscles, they were made to move! I try to never take meds unless the pain is severe.
