Greetings my Peeps!

TOM is slithering away. Cramps left after 3 days. That's 2 days longer than normal. Hormone dumps occur after rapid weight loss (more than 2 lbs a week for an extended period of time). Creates some moodiness.

My stomach is sore from dry heaves, but all of the nausea is gone. Yet another unexpected TOM side effect. Bad TOM, BAD!

It's been really warm here. My tomato and pepper plants are happy.

I didn't sleep very well last night and am tired this morning. I sure would like to go back to bed! lol

Cyn, good news on the kiddo front for no hep! yay!

Tort, get your doc to test for B vits and vit D and iron. Vit D can stall weight loss and cause hypoth symptoms.

Hugs to all,
Ratkity

I will ask about this when I go in to get the stuff for the cortisol test. Thanks!

Rat: I say lets get my TOM and your TOM and send them to a deserted island!

We found out today we get the house. He is letting us move in a few days early yeah! Seems like a nice guy. The house looks good. AND it doesnt smell! So now its time to get busy packing!

babble 04-09-2010 12:30 AM

Torister- The results all sound outstanding so far. I hope they do find what is fighting against you though. Have a great trip with your girlfriends.

Ratkitty- So glad that you are feeling better. Also good to hear about your tomato and pepper plants.

Cyn- The news about the house is great, very happy for you.

We have to plan a trip to the park for my DS, he needs to work on a merit badge for Scouts there so that will be fun. He's excited about camping in a few weeks. Whether or not DH and I go depends on the bathroom situation, well if I go or not. Sometimes they have bathrooms or port-a- potties, sometimes not.

Peggy, hope the DR sorts you out! Have a fun week, maybe a few carbs might kick-start you? I've heard of quite a few people on low-carb stalling for really long periods, so it might be worth a few days off just to see? xxxxxxx
Pink it's great to 'see' you again, I was wondering if you were ok.xxxxxxps It's great to see 'you' in your avatar too! xxxx
Cyn, so pleased about your new house, I know how rotten it is living somewhere damp. I hope the move heralds a new happier, luckier & healthier start for you all.xxxxxxx
Well I lost another 4lbs, not as good as I'd expected but it will do, (9lbs in 11 days) now my hip is feeling better & TOM is gone I am trying to fit some exercise in. I also need to up my water, especially now it is suddenly warm here! I'm sure it is harder to drink cool fluids when you're cold.
xxxxxxx sharon

Hey ladies...a quick post. I've been so busy and also lacking sleep, workmen working on the apartment downstairs from like 6am onward...that I haven't had time to get on here. :D But I'm still here, alive and kicking...struggling still, but more positive today. Weight is a bit down, we'll see.

*HUGS* I hope everyone is well. I'm making myself go walking as my primary exercise for now...just want to get out of this apartment.

Good Evening All!! I hope you all have had a great week!! I haven't been in in a while but I'm back for now. Got lots to do because of revival at church this weekend but I did want to drop in and leave some good news...:dancer:

After a month and a half, we finally had our weigh in and measure at Curves. We were measured and weighed on 2/22 which is how I got my starting weight but I didn't start my journey til 3/1 so as of today I am down 21.5 lbs and have lost a total of 12 inches. I am so excited!:dance:

I also went to get our taxes done this morning, I was afraid that we were gonna have to pay in but as it turns out, we are getting a really good refund! Praise the Lord!!!

Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers because I will have a houseful of teenage girls this weekend and one is engaged! Of course in her world, she is the only one that has ever been engaged so....!! :)

I hope you all have a fabulous weekend!!

Bad news: I am sick again. I am so sick of being sick! Planning a trip back to my hometown to meet with my doctor and try to figure out why I seem to be healthy one week, and sick the next.

Good news: I am down another two pounds, which puts me down to 311! :D At work I give $3.11 change all the time ($1.89 coffee from a $5 bill) and every time I saw it today I smiled for myself.

Greetings my Peeps!

After a horrid TOM episode earlier in the week, I am back to my "normal" self (yes, I use that term loosely) hehe.

Looks like it's going to be a nice weekend. I have to do yardwork tomorrow. I have all the fixings for homemade spag sauce.

I made a taco dip (gluten-free) tonight. Guitar lesson is tomorrow evening. I cut up all the frozen peppers I had and put them in a special vinegar italian mix to marinate for 5 days. Sister swears by the recipe. I edited a huge document today at work and was glad to get it out of the way. Later, I got the car's oil changed, a nail taken out of the front tire and a recalled oil hose changed.. all for $8.83. Not bad. Ratkity had her fluids and weigh-in today. She gained 2 oz and seems to be doing well. Doggies and parrot are happy. I didn't gain weight over TOM... So far, GREAT day.

Perhaps even BikerChick can get out sometime this weekend!

I'm concentrating on getting in all my water today.

Hugs to all!
Ratkity

Sharon - Thanks for remembering me! I didn't think anyone would!

I'm struggling hard with school. I keep waking up every night with school-related stress dreams (missing exams, etc). I didn't hand in my final paper today for one class, so I will fail if she doesn't accept my doctor's note on Monday. Although she accepted it for the last paper and is probably getting really sick of my excuses.

I am also late on two other papers, and hoping to **** they accept my doctor's notes too. Ugh. It's so hard to keep up in school when you're so low you're not even sure you want to get out of bed in the morning. Luckily my doctor is good with notes.

I am not dealing well with my minister leaving. She is retiring mid-june, and I am closer to her than to anyone else. Kind of like a mom type person. I am really gutted and am going to miss her so much, but trying to tell myself I will be okay and can look after myself. She is going to visit (she is moving about 2 hours away) for my grad next year, but it won't be the same as having her here all the time. I am also afraid to be honest with her about how upset I am and how hard I am struggling.

No motivation for school or for life.

Hello, Ladies!!

I am a week and a half post op. Have lost almost 40 pounds since I started the journey. Yay!! Not feeling a lot of difference, yet. Which seems odd. But, I think I'm on the upper edge of 3X so am just feeling like my 4X's are loose. I'm having issues with eating properly with meals and my supplements because I have such a poor daily routine. Monday starts me being back at my usual routine (hubby was home for Spring Break last wee). So, I'll be up at 6:30. Will be interesting!!

Not looking forward to the TOM issues that Ratkitty is experiencing. Mine is yucky already. When it gets worse because of quick weight loss it's going to be horrible!!

Cyn - glad things are working out. Progress!

Everyone else - keep it up!!!

babble 04-11-2010 02:28 AM

PinkFlamingo- Thank you about the bunny. I missed your post the other day. I am sorry to hear you are having such a rough time. Two hours away is better than it could be, but that is quite a distance to adjust to.
I looked over at allrecipes.com and found some recipes to try for baked zucchini and some others I have forgotten at the moment.

Sharon- Way to go on the loss. :carrot:

Jacquie- Walking and getting out makes a good combo. Do you have a good area to go walking close by?

Thin Mint- Tax refunds as a surprise are a good one. Hope that you are surviving your weekend w/the teenagers taking over.

Neon- I'm sorry to hear that you are sick, and do hope that you feel better soon. Congratulations on the loss. :carrot: Also glad you got reinforcement to remind you w/the change, anything to motivate and bring a smile like that is good.

ratkity- I am glad to hear that your fur baby got a good report. Also congratulations on the pounds loss. :carrot:

basketcase- Glad to hear that you are doing well after your surgery. A big congratulations to losing 40 so far that is awesome. :carrot: It is hard when you get out of a routine, but hope it gets back on track for you soon.

This weekend started off good. I got to go shopping and pick up things I needed. I do have to go back or have DH go back Mon. though b/c it was busy at the store and even w/a list I forgot some things. I'm getting more sued to how much I increased my water. I am so glad too, b/c I was floating for a couple of days there.

Hope you all had a great weekend.

Greetings my peeps!

Man, I'm wh00ped. The yards are mowed, edged, trimmed, weed-eated, sprayed weedkiller, trimmed dead branches, trimmed the hedges, planted the last of the tomatoes, cleaned the gutters, weeded the blueberry bushes and picked up dog toys multiple times.

Cleaned the kitchen, changed the sheets on the bed and now I'm making spaghetti sauce. I need to finish laundry. Phew.

I didn't make it out on a bike ride though! Alas. I need to bring my commuter bike up from the basement so I can ride to work.

Hope everyone has had a good and productive weekend!

Hugs,
Ratkity

gggirls 04-11-2010 04:46 PM

Rat - I need a nap after reading your productivity.

Ratkitten 04-11-2010 07:52 PM

LOL GGG,

I can't move and need someone to finish my laundry .. eep! lol.

Spaghetti sauce is done. Why in the world do I make so much? I can't seem to make small amounts. Good thing it freezes well.

Hugs,
Ratkity
