3 Fat Chicks on a Diet Weight Loss Community

Every once in a while we have to stop and reflect, today I did something I haven't done in a long time, I went outside under the beauty of the sun and threw the softball with my hubby, it seems so simple and yet when I step back and look at it, it really was a transforming moment.

I would have never pictured myself doing that a few months back, doing something I hadn't done in years, having it bring me memories of joy and thoughts of the future. In a few years my kids will be off to college and I could have an opportunity to play softball again in a mixed over 40 league.

I got to visualize what can be because of my own actions and because of the actions of so many here.

Because Heather works tirelessly running our community, I was able to find the exercise thread and become involved with a goal greater than myself. I get to work towards a purpose and that feels good.

Because Carol was kind enough to share thoughts of inspiration, I've found a reason to exercise every day, day in, day out..with no excuses.

Because Idealmuse works so hard, I've found a reason to get right up with her and work towards a goal of over 3000 minutes a month.

Because Ags and Learn and Bo and Debi cheer me on every step of the way, I realize sore muscles aren't as rough as disappointing your friends.

Because of me, my kids work just as hard as I do, fitting in time everyday to exercise, learning and loving the idea of caring for themselves.

It's a thing of beauty, to realize one ripple in the water really does blossom out and alter the paths of the future.

Because of all of you, I know a new life is possible and that is something you have to stop and give thanks for once in a while.
