A drug rep just brought donuts into our office and I passed them up! I am so proud of myself! I know this is dumb to some people but to me it is a huge deal!!!!

Good for you!!! I know how hard this is - we have a table set up about 4 feet from my desk and people here are forever bringing in their baked goods. It kills me, but getting easier every time. I am getting tunnel vision - just turn my head and pretend it isn't there.

Last week, somebody brought in a homemade cake and I had found that I wanted to smell it, and I did, but I was still able to walk away and made made a big mug of green tea instead. I am a year and 2 months off of refined sugar, and 2 months off of white flour.

Congratulations, this is definitely a big deal! When you work in a medical setting the temptations from the drug reps can be so overwhelming.

It is so hard working in a medical setting! I work in a surgical center so we have a fully stocked breakroom with everything you could think of. And none of its healthy. But I know I can do this. It really is mind over matter and one day at a time!!!!
