Maybe some people don't know it is a 60 day challenge? By the title of the thread, it could be about anything. I always read the threads, all of them, in this section, but I have to admit I don't in other sections lol.

Today I'm going to get out of the house and do some shopping, go for a short walk, and remember to think about what i'm eating. This morning I'm going to have the rest of my oatmeal I made yesterday. I've been enjoying and needing something cooked/vegan for breakfast. There are just some days I don't want only fruit! So, I have been having steelcut oats and I did a pear spiced version yesterday. Wonderful. :D hehe.

Yes, I am with you.

My 60 day goal will be to actively manage my health every day for 60 days. That includes moving my body every single day even if it's not a scheduled exercise day. For example, if I'm taking an exercise break I will at least go for a short walk at some point in the day.

I am also committing to eat from every food group and stay within my calories for 60 days straight.

I did pretty good yesterday I was able to eat atleast one food from every food group and I was also able to get in a good work out. yah for me!!:carrot:

Today I had an interesting experience. I started to eat my quick, prepared lunch, I bought while I was out and about this morning. I did a lot of walking today, hip is throbbing but good... Anyhow, I was eating my lunch of roasted veggies, with some crackers, some guacamole and hummus. Kind of a fatty meal, but I was hungry. I caught myself not even thinking about the food I was eating, so I slowed down and started to pay attention. Little by little I realized how full I was getting and realized that I probably shouldn't eat the eggplant that came with this thing...I mean it probably was LOADED with oil. Looked like it, so I pushed that aside and enjoyed the other veggies. I started to think about how I could really have prepared something for myself and I think I'm going to start reminding myself of this when I am tempted to buy things at the market. I mean I CAN make my own hummus too and it can be healthier.

So, eating mindfully! Thinking about it, appreciating the food...that is an important lesson for me. :D
