PMS -induced cravings anyone???
I am having such a hard time this week. Ive been losing weight slowly but steadily since April (having fell off a couple of times) but find that I have 20x more problems with food when PMSing. This week I've just had NO willpower. I feel like I want to eat constantly - anything in sight!! Plus when I've finished eating, I just want to eat something else.
Its not for hunger, but just the act I think makes my PMS better - Maybe emotional eating (which is how I got to 336lbs, definately!) rears its ugly head at this time of the month due to excess hormones, making resistance so much harder? Not only am I thinking about water retention at this time of the month, but these cravings too?? No bloody wonder women store more fat than men!!! |
It's that TOM for me and I have cravings too- I allow myself an extra 100 calories a day during TOM. I find that I'll crave stuff that I probably really need, like a glass of milk, or peanut butter (two things I never eat the rest of the month).

When I use to eat chocolate..that is what I craved! Now..I seem to crave carbs..aminly pasta. I also notice I don't get full as fast..which makes me wanna eat more. Sucks...but thats what I get being a woman lol

I rarely have specific cravings, but I am always hungry! I could pack away tons of food the few days before and the first three or four days of my period.

I am the same way. I get a strong drive to eat a LOT of food right before TOM starts. I figure it must be physiological and the body needs that fuel. I know that the 2 days before will be off days--I just try not to totally blow it.

It's that TOM for me as well and I do find myself craving things. It is a hard struggle but I tend to remember this is probably one of the ways I got to where I am so I drink lots of water and nibble on fruit. Good luck in not giving into the cravings.
