Plus Size Underwear

Does anybody have any sources for reasonably priced plus size underwear? I've always bought mine from Lane Bryant (Women Within) but the last batch I bought from them were off size and shoddy. Thanks for your help.

For panties, you can get them dirt cheap at Walmart. They carry plus sizes very large. Although I used to love the panties from Lane Bryant, I just couldn't justify the cost anymore...especially if I was losing weight and expected to be changing sizes before they wore out.

For bras, it's harder....depending on your size. I usually wait for a Cacique sale.

I've had good luck with the Just My Size and Fruit of the Loom brands at Walmart. I prefer the Just My Size brand, especially the boycut style. I prefer the cotton or cotton blend to nylon, but they cary several styles in both fabrics. I was wearing the Just My Size high cut, but they changed the elastic and I started having chafing issues, so I switched to the boy cut (longer leg and no elastic at the leg - they're not as long as boxers, more like soft knit "daisy dukes").

At my highest weight (70" hips) I wore the size 14. Now, I wear a size 13 (63" hips). The size chart on the back is a pretty good guide, but some styles/fabrics have more stretch than others, so you might find that you find you prefer the fit a size up or down from the one recommended on their size chart. I find that the Just my Size brand tends to run true to size or a bit loose, while The Fruit of the Loom brand runs a bit smaller than stated (for my fit).

Thanks for the tips. I don't have access to WalMart but i will try Just my size. For bras, a good place to go is lady grace.com. They have an array of large sizes.

I found the same thing and prefer Just My Size. They are available on the JMS website along with a lot of other brands for panties & bras. You can also order JMS from walmart.com. The Walmart site has more colors and the Walmart store has pretty prints too.

I've found JMS to be the most comfortable and they stay looking nice after repeated washing and being in the clothes dryer. Sizes run up to 14.

I'm still wearing my maternity underwear from Motherhood. :o (Babe is 10 months old now... heh.)

I agree that the cheap cotton ones (just her size?) from Wal-mart are pretty good quality for the price.

LOL I still have my undies from when I was pregnant. I still wear them. And that was oh...8 years ago? I know sad. But no joy in shopping when you aren't young fit and beautiful you know? I'm holding out for the VS undies when I lose weight. I WILL put on sexy undies again!

My favorite panties are from Torrid (online) they usually have great sales..normally I pay about 3-5 dollars a pair..but....I also have some of the Just My Size that I got at Walmart and they are not bad...I think you can get 3-6 pairs for under 10.00 if I remember correctly. Bras..OMG I hate trying to find bras! I dont really know where to suggest. I do have a JMS bra thats fabulous but I cant seem to find the style anymore :(

I was also going to suggest hanes/just my size for the everyday non fancy panties :) I was wearing a size 24/26 and able to wear the size 10 or 9 in hanes.

I really like the Fruit of the Loom Ladies' "Fit For Me" Cotton Stretch boy shorts (my favorite) and briefs (high-cut is also available).

I buy them in packs of 3 at Target for, I think, under $10. They seem to have held up very well thus far (two months or so, so far), and they are available in at least up to size 13.

Good luck!

I buy Hanes hi-cut underwear at Wal-Mart, like 6 pair for around $8. I have tried Fruit of the Loom from there, but they are longer and higher cut, just didn't work for my body.

I occasionally treat myself to Fashion Bug's "buy 3, get 3 free" kind of deals, I love their panties.

I am hoping someone will know the answer to this. I have always bought my underware in sizes that were xxl, xxxl. But I would like to get some of the JMS boycuts now, but I dont know what size I would be. Is there anyone who is a size 18/20 in clothes that would know this.

Depending on your body shape, you'd fall in a 9 or 10.

Hugs,
