Good Morning Peeps - I'm here reading but seem to not have much to say. Thinks are going well here - looks like I will be a little short on my exercise goal for the month. The gardens look wonderful - even though spring has drug on forever it has been great for helping all the flowers take on nice strong roots.
Today I plan to take the pups for a nice walk, then mow the yard and hope to enjoy the pool a bit if it warms up enough. Grilled lobster for dinner will be a fantastic treat. Rat - where are you? For those of you who pray and remember Johnnie - please pray for her - she has been hospitalized again for about 2 months. The thought is possibly that the new replacement hip had staph on it - what should have been 3-4 weeks has now been 6 months with no end in site. Hugs to all, Carol |
Carol send her lots of British hugs; rarer than US ones, we are a bit more reserved!!!lol I really hope she heals soon, it must be so upsetting AND frustrating for her especially as she was doing so well up to the operation.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Hi Chickies,
After two days of overeating last weekend I am up 4 lbs still to 310. Horribly unfair punishment as I have been on plan except for those two days. That is the way it goes...seems like my body is really resisting the release of lbs....but I will keep slogging on. It may go slower this time around but I will not give up so easily. This weekend I will make sure to do a nice long hike or two. Annie, I love the story of the visit to your father. Have a great day everyone. |
Battle - I am still hanging on to extra pounds from one day of poor choices. Slow and steady.
|
Battle / Carol - same here. I think I'm still about 10 pounds or so from where I was (although the ticker is where I am).
Like Carol, I'm here this week but not posting much. I just don't have much to say at the moment. I'm just going through the motions, waiting for summer. The rain did stop today and it's nice out, but I'm just not that enthusiastic about getting outside and doing anything. Ah well, I should at least go and try. Oh, and thanks for the update on Johnnie, I'm sorry that she's struggling so much. Please pass on my best thoughts for her. |
lauren- I may actually be in your town tommorow helping my daughter with her house.
Im gettng to keep my grandaughter overnight..needless to say IM IN HEAVEN!! I told hubby tonight while rocking her after her bath that life cant get any better than this. He laughed at me...I just had such a peace over me when i was rocking her. She is such a happy baby. I cant believe she is already 7 months old!! Food has been good and exercise is still low for the month but catching up is hard...so next month i will make sure i dont fall behind!! Hope everyone has a wonderful OP weekend!! |
Hi everybody
Just checking in and reading up on all of you. I have had a couple of lazy evenings the last two nights so have to get back into gear today! It is 1:10 AM and I went to sleep so early I am up. Had another good appointment with my nutritionis on Wednesday. Wow, she is really helping me. Normally I would at least be drinking coffee now (if not eating!!) but nope, not tonight, ha. In 2007 I was doing the Presidents' Challenge on Physical Fitness and had earned all the medals up through the gold. But I just checked and now there is a platinum one (maybe there before but I forgot). It is very hard to earn but I am going to go for it! Also planning to actually order the bronze, silver and gold that I earned before and put them on my wall in a display somehow. Wondering if anyone else has done the Challenge? Also happy that our wonderful public pool was reopened after the state cut the funding (it is in a state park) and it had to close a few months ago. PTL West Coast Aquatics took it over and it has just reopened... no early AM lap swim though so will have to drive to the next city if I do that... or just do early workouts in the condo pool. But now I have access to shallow water for aerobics or deep water for workouts. My best wishes to all of you for a great weekend. |

Now that everyone can find me I hope to see you all there!!!! Off to wash cars! |
Hi Lauren... wish I was a bit closer to Kentucky... I would sure be there to meet you! :)
|
Anne - and any other gardeners out there - have you tried using home grown stevia? I'm thinking of picking up a plant - they look great right now in the garden centers. How do you use it?
|
Carol: UGH with the STAPH! Being that I am going through the whole MRSA thing I understand. Prayers from Arizona!
Today I am going to clean and try to get through sorting and purging crap in my closet! Tomorrow my kids are going to stay the night at my brother's house. That is the area we are thinking about moving too. So I am going to drive around and look at some houses. It will be another HOT day in Arizona today. So inside I stay. I really hope this MRSA goes away this time. I would LOVE to be in a pool. :) |
Just sharing a huge praise... last year it was so disappointing having my new condo near the Burke-Gilman trail... wonderful bike trail... and barely being able to even walk. especially when I had a brand new bike. Well... today I decided to drag out my bike and give it a try... and I rode for an HOUR, yay! Even zoomed right up the looooooooooooooooooooong hills... guess all those hours in the pool working out paid off! Yippeeeee praise God for His healing.

Hi Everyone,
Debi: I saw mental last night and ugh. I didn't like it. Haleygirl: I wish you could garden too. It is so relaxing and fun to harvest your own veggies. Gekster: Yippee to your plan to join the gym while you are on a break from school I hope you do it hon. Congrats getting under 300! Catherine: I love soup too. It is so filling and yummy. Lauren: I wish with all my heart that you and your DH could raise your DN. I will be praying for you hon. Congrats on the -3 more pounds. Way to go. Sharon: Okay, I posted pictures of me and my Dad and me and my stepmom Just for you ! Is there any place that you could do some water walking or swimming? That is such good exercise for your hips and joints when they are hurting. Hugs. Carol: Hi there sweet friend. I will continue to pray for Johnnie. Poor thing. Tell her that I am sending prayers and hugs her way. Battle: I'm sure that you being up 4 is just salt or something. Hang in there. I know exactly how you feel. I have been soooo good exercising and eating enough food and not too much and today I wolke up 6 pounds heavier than when I went to sleep. It sucks but that is how it goes for me being a daily weigher. Sue: I hope you get to swim inj the pool soon. I am thinking about trying the new Salvation Army Kroc center that is going in here. Well, that is about all for now. I think I'm caught up for now. I hope you are all having a fantastic weekend. It is so warm here but I'm thrilled with it. I did mix up a double batch of cookies for Joel this morning but it was too hot in our house to cook them so I am baking them now since it cools off nicely in the evenings. Blessings all, Annie |
