good morning every one.. so far so good today!

Peggy – I am so sorry to hear about your fur baby.
I put this on the recently started scale thread, but if you are a Costco member they are having a sale starting Monday for a 400-pound capacity digital Weight Watchers scale for $18 with a coupon (which I got in the mail yesterday). If you are in the market for a scale and you are either a member or know someone who is, you might want to check it out. It starts Monday and lasts a week or so. I am thinking of picking one up since it is so cheap and it would be great to have a backup. Thanks for all your comments on the skin thing. I have been thinking a lot about it and I have figured out why it is so nagging for me. What’s tough for me isn’t that the skin bothers me, but that I am bothered by the fact that I am bothered (if that makes any sense). I always thought I would be able to look at it like a badge of honor or war scars and it is not as easy as I thought it would be. I don’t want to harp on about the issue because 1000% it better to lose the weight. I just want to make sure that I don’t start falling into a trap of not doing things, like say going to the beach, because I have issues with the way my body LOOKS. I am doing this to be able and capable of leading as full a life as possible and I don’t want to limit myself for a second based on vanity. Today was my weigh in day and I also stayed the same, which is pretty good considering the holidays and lack of exercise over my time off. |
Special Hugs to you Tori for the loss of your furry one.
Luv, Ratkitten |

Hello everyone,
This is my first trip to these boards, and to this forum. I'm currently on Day 2 of my "Cleansing Phase" for Medical Weight Loss Clinic. I'm going crazy, craving my bread and potatoes, but I'm stuck with meat and salad until Saturday (blah). I go for my next weigh-in today so hopefully I dropped a pound or so since yesterday at least. A little about me - I'm 28 years old and I just got engaged over Christmas :) That pretty ring on my finger gave me the motivation to take this weight off, and my family chipped in some money to help pay for a year's worth of weight loss clinic. I'm really hoping this works, as I'm frustrated with every other diet I've tried and failed, so I don't want to disappoint my family (or myself) on this one. It's great to see such a nice group of supportive people. I've been heavy since I was 7 years old and never got to see myself at a "normal" weight or "thin", so the thought of losing 150 pounds is crazy to me, since this body (type) is the one I've known for 20 years. I see so many of you dropping the pounds and getting close to your goal and I hope I can become one of the happy "losers"! ~Nicole |
Torister - My stomach hit the floor reading your post. I am soooo sorry about your dog! We are absolutely in love with our abbigale! She is our pound puppy. Abused and underweight (she actually looked disgusting when we first saw her at the pound) 5 years ago, she was aprox. 2 then! Everyone was passing her by. My then 10 year old begged and begged to get her out and play with her. She was too weak to play and just leaned up against my daughter with those big brown eyes and boney ribs. 2 hours later she was in my car and headed for her new home - our home. She is now that love of our lives, super healthy and plenty of meat on those ribs now! Anyways.............I am sorry for your loss!
Hi everyone! At work, will post more later! Thanks for the nice words of encouragement. I'm still loving that ddr! |
KIMMIE – I don’t get the cookies-in-the-pantry-without-eating-them thing, either. If it’s within reach…. I don’t bring any junk into the house because I just can’t leave it alone, but there’s plenty available at work, and everywhere else. Your Sis is lucky!
LESLEY – Congrats and good luck with that new job! CAROL – I’m excited to hear how that cardio class goes. Kudos to the trainer who lost that 170 pounds! ANNIE – That lunch time walk will be a good stress reliever, too. I hope it will help you come back fresh and ready to face the afternoon! HI there, BRAND NEW!! Always good to see you on the board!!! Good for you on the journaling. I REALLY need to get back to doing that myself, but I haven’t so far. PEGGY, I’m so sorry you lost your fur-baby. It’s a sad truth about loving them, that they usually leave us. I’m glad his life was a cushy one, and I’m glad that you are handling it without doing yourself harm. <<hugs>> NICOLE – I TOTALLY hear you on craving bread. :welcome: Hopefully MWLC will help you get a jump start, and give you a chance to develop new and healthier habits. I’m sure you’ll be beautiful for your wedding, but I hope that you’re able to be healthier going into it as well! CONGRATS on your ENGAGEMENT!! KAYLEY - At least what you were shoveling smelled better than what I was shoveling! On the other hand, I wasn't out in the wind most of the time. Keep up the great work! I’m having another OP day so far. I did a ton of extra barn work yesterday. Normally I strip out just my three stalls, but I’ve already started a cleaning job at the barn I’m moving the boys to on the 20th. There are 14 stalls there, and to be honest, stripping them would be easier than all the sawdust sifting to pick them. I was there until 9:30 last night… although that did include two chat sessions. It took maximum muscle to get the wheelbarrow to the TOP of the pile to dump. The exercise is great, but I was beat, mostly from the cold, by the time I got home. It was GREAT to go to sleep last night, and get up this morning, knowing that yesterday I definitely burned more than I took in! Feeling how good that success feels makes me stronger today. I just wish I could run home and get on the tread mill right this second. Of course, we all know that if it was in front of me this very second, I’d be feeling a little less ambitious. Well, another day, another load of manure. Have a great day folks! |
Peggy - I hugged my pups after reading your post. I'm so sorry for your loss - you are a good pet owner. I know how hard and yet how easy the decision is but your heart hurts.
Hugs from the mom of a furbaby angel (our 17 yr old lab) Carol |
Battle, you take on clutter having something to do with being over weight is right on. I know I feel so much better, so much more organized when all the clutter is cleared. I feel I can dedicate more energy and time to being OP because I'm not sitting here thinking about all the clutter I've accumulated. We are even going so far as to start recycling more stuff too. Part of getting more organized.
Lindsay, so glad to hear that Muffin is doing so much better. Hopefully she will continue to improve and live a long happy life. Nancy, glad to have you back and on track. We won't let you get down on yourself too much. Look how much you've accomplished already! Good for you on buying all those clothes on clearance. I just love clothes shopping now that I can get some clothes that are stylish and not just ones that I can fit into. LitChick, a new job for the new year!! Good for you!! Annie, I hope that your supervisors are working with you better today. It's so hard to start a new job and then not get the help you need to help others. You're probably a natural at what you do and they don't think you need that much help. Keep up the good work Brandnewme, Yes you can!!! And don't you forget it! Thats great that you're journaling everything you eat. I gotta say, it's what helps me stay accountable for what I eat. I also write down my exercise time and water intake. Peggy, so sorry to hear about your furbaby. It's hard to let go. Welcome Nicole! Another day OP me for me. Hopefully when I weigh in next Wednesday, I will have a good loss. We usually go out for lunch on paydays, and I've gone thru my calorie book for each fast food place we have around here to figure out what would be the healthiest, least calorie foods that they offer. So I feel I can handle going out now. We might go to the Olive Garden though to finish off the gift card and I plan on getting the soup and salad thingie again. But now I know which soup to pick and to limit myself to one breadstick. The skin issues concern me tremendously. Right now my batwings hang so much. What are they going to be like when I lose all my weight? It's scary just to think of it. And my stomach...o My goodness...it's bad now with that apron thing hangin. Everytime I get in the shower I hold it up just to see what it would look like to not have it all and have long legs. I guess it's something we will all have to deal with at one point or another. Have a great OP, DDR dancing day! Debbie |
Hi All~
Peggy ~ I too am sorry to hear about your furbaby. I know what it is like to have to let a longtime friend go. My had to put my 11 yr old poodle down a few years ago after she was hit by a car on Thanksgiving Day. I almost didn't make it home to tell my mother what I had to make such a decision on. NoLifeWithoutHorses, Xena, gggirls & anyone else I may have missed :D ~I called this morning and talked to the back office supervisor (I just randomly dialed an extention number and happened to get her :/ ) and told her about what I had been dealing with for the past two months. She apologized and promptly got my test results for me. BattleAx ~Thanks much. :) I think it was mostly water, least that is what I keep telling myself. It was water retention and not the cookies I ate. Okay, so, the test results from bloodwork I had done on December 20th came back as they have for the last almost two years, low. So, as has happened the last year and a half, my synthroid will be adjusted up yet again. To what, I have no clue yet though. I adjusted my morning walk minutes have been upped as well. I have been gaining and losing the same two pounds for a few days, so I thought that until I got the results back, I could try to compensate by walking longer. I am hoping that by next month I will be up to a mile and a half for the walking. I have also asked my boyfriend to get me DDR for our 360 (I have seen all you ladies talking about it, so I thought I would give it a try :) )when he gets his tax refund later this month. :) As always, I hope you all are doing well and if not, you are in my prayers. ~Story |
Hello everyone! :) Today, I was out of town most of the day, and didn't get home until about 6pm, so no real workout today, except for a little shoveling in the morning. Saturday, I'll finally be getting groceries, and I get can full back OP on Sunday. Although, I'm doing pretty good now with what I've got to work with at the moment.
Let's have a great end of the week everyone!!!! TGI(almost)F! |
Hey everyone...
I have a dilemma... I have been thinking all day about weight loss and what plan I want to do. The plan that I was doing before worked well and was easy to follow however I got bored once I plateaued and left. I quickly moved to weight watchers and only managed to follow that for a week. I think I have too much freedom on WW. I can't control myself. I have eaten more than my days worth of calories since I arrived home from work tonight. Not to mention what I ate AT work..... So, do you think I should go back to my first program and somewhat work with the nutrionist to jazz it up a bit or do I work with WW or do I try something totally different?? |
Brenda -- I can't tell you what you should do, except to say that it should be something you can do long term. And that may be neither of the plans you mentioned. If you aren't sure which plan is right, maybe it's time to take a step back and think about what YOU need. It sounds like you like some kind of structure but also like variety. Maybe you should take a look around the forum (and other places) and see what might work. Maybe you could even get ideas from the general Weight Loss Support forum!
And you may end up picking and choosing elements of different plans -- don't be afraid of that! According to the National Weight Loss Registry, a majority of maintainers use a plan of their own making! |
Hmmmm...I'm not sure Brenda. Which WW plan were you following? Core or Flex? You may want to try Core, if you were doing Flex, because Flex, is well....more flexible. LOL. A little less regulation.
Back when I was doing low carb, I did a mix of elements of South Beach & Atkins. I like to come up with my own type of plan, like Heather mentioned. :) |
Evening all
Wow do I have a new found respect for Nancy and Heather and everyone else who workouts with the elliptical. I did 2 minutes. I was very discouraged but it was after 30 minutes of weight work - I went on to do 18 minutes on the treadmill. I really liked the weight work so I think this will be a nice combination. How is everyone? Looks like things are going well for nearly everyone. Brenda - I second (or third) what has been said - see if you can find what works best for you and go with it. I'm not sure what plan I follow - we all know what we need to do - it's a matter of what we need most. I must weigh every day or I can get in trouble. You've got it in ya - just pull it back out. Great to see you. Timer just went off - dinner's ready. More later. Hugs, Carol |
Carol -- It may help you to know that when I started on the elliptical I couldn't do 2 minutes. I had been using a treadmill for 20-30 min at a decent clip and the elliptical just KILLED me. I really had to work up to being able to use the elliptical! Don't give up! Just add a little at a time.
And cardio and weights is a GREAT combo!! Edited to add: I now like the elliptical more than the treadmill, and its nicer on my knees! |
Carol...when I first got on an elliptical, I was about dying after 2 minutes! lol. Just take it slow, and you'll work up to more time. Now, it's easier to me than the treadmill. :D

Hi everyone,
I've had a couple of decent days with eating, but could be doing better with exercise. I'm happy to be back in the swing overall, though. There is so little bingeworthy food in my home that temptation is minimal. Paring the fridge and cabinets down to the basics has been very helpful in moving me back to the right track. In time I can go back to having more food in the kitchen. As for now, I'm choosing from the healthy foods on hand to pack with me for my meals. When I come home, there is nothing in the cabinet calling my name. GTL: It's hard to say what the best plan for you is. It's so individual. I know for myself, no diet has ever worked long term. I need fewer rules, not more. That is why I picked the most flexible plan that I expect to follow for the rest of my life-calorie counting at the highest limit possible mixed with some elements of intuitive eating. But you said you do best with more structure, so I can't say that would work for you. Peggy: I'm sorry about your dog. It's so hard to lose our beloved friends. Hugs. I'm very proud of you for not eating through your feelings. Donna: Glad to read you are back at it again. I HATE all the peeing! At the same time I am happy when it happens because that's when I lose the weight. Zelma: the haircolor suits you. It is very flattering to your face and works with your skin tone. Judo: you're off to a great start. Setting realistic goals is important. Valerie: walking during lunch is great. It beats sitting around stuffing the face, and reduces stress. Nicole: Welcome, and congratulations on your engagement! I don't know anything about the program you're in, but I wish you the best with it. We're here to support you. Leslie: Big congrats on the library job. Nancy and Debbie: I hear you about the skin and body issues. I'm only 60 lbs. in and it's already a frightful sight. Of course none of us wants to go back to the weights we were, but at the same time every time we look in the mirror we can see the permanent damage we've done. That is what I have a hard time with. Well, that and being scared and upset about the idea of getting romantic with someone. Jeanne: I'm with Zelma on having a good breakfast and staying away from the sugary foods. If I eat simple carbs in the morning, it makes me want more, more, more. Lindsey: Nice to see you back. You must have received a lot of comments about the weight loss. Annie: I'm sure you will have a nice loss before you know it. As I go for weeks at a time without loss, I know how frustrating it can be to wait for the scale to smile. Brandnew: You seem a lot better now than you were a while ago. It's nice to see your life on an upswing. I can't wait to hear good news about your weight and health. Story: Another DDR purchaser in the works! Soon I will be the only one here without one. Hi toofat, jar, Xena, Heather, and everyone else I missed this time! |
Hi guys,
Not a lot of time to post. I haven't seen a lose yet this year (yes, I am a daily weigher), but I have DDRed three days in a row. Woohoo!! Torister....so sorry about your dog. I am sure that was devastating. Keep on going guys....we will do it this year!! Angie |
Hello everyone - I haven't posted for a bit, because I had an unbelievable workload dropped in my lap last month. I got invited to this huge art show with very little prep time, but it was an opportunity I couldn't say no to. (It went fabulously BTW) So I had to sorta place the full steam ahead weight loss on hold. Then after that I was out of town for the holidays.
But I'm ready to continue on. Nice to see everyone had a good holiday. |
When I had the steam to read & answer people, I couldn't log on to 3FC last night for some reason. Now I'm exhausted, haven't slept for the past 3 hours, and in the morning I have to fix a series of journal entries I botched yesterday before I can get on with year end and new year stuff. I'm buried.
At least I was perfectly OP again yesterday, and even exercised - in spite of the fact that Bill's home and I HATE HATE HATE to exercise with him here. I hate it! I was hungry when I got up, and have taken a calculated risk by using bread to hold my peanut butter up. 100 cals, 21 carbs - but 5 fiber and 4 protein. Hopefully I will not live to regret it. Back to bed now. One hour left to sleep. I think a quick stop in here has relaxed my mind enough, and I'm even trying warm milk. G'night. |
Peggy - My condolenses on the loss of your beloved dog. I have animals myself and completely understand how they work their way into our hearts and become true family members. It sounds like she had a great life and you made the compassionate choice for her.
Jeanne - I love the story about your sad little pound puppy. It's nice to know that once in awhile there are good stories like that. And what a sweet child you must be raising that they wanted to love the not-so-cute looking dog. Gosh, I am such a baby. Sad/happy animal stuff makes me bawl. :( |
Morning all,
Just checking in to keep myself accountable. It really does help me. When I disappear, there often is a reason and not always a healthy one! lol! Anyway, I have my day's food all planned out and I am good to go. Onward and downward! I want to look back on 2008 and say I am *much* healthier as I start 2009 than I was when I started 2008! Thanks everyone regarding my dog. He had been battling an aggressive cancer (terminal as it was everywhere...so we opted not to pursue chemo treatment) and he had a wonderful couple of months post diagnosis. They truly do let you know when it is "time". Well, I just really appreciated your notes on that. That was so very kind of you all! Thanks again. Hope you all have a great OP day today. I will be checking in throughout the day. |
Quote:
I also added a pic as my avatar. I don't have many photos of myself as I have eschewed any attempts at being photographed for many years. But at Christmas I actually requested a photo be taken, just so I would have a "before" photo and also so I could put a face up for all my new friends here at 3FC to see. Wishing everyone a great OP day!! Johnnie |
Donna: Great job being op yesterday. Sorry about the water line too. :(
Nancy: Thanks for sharing that scale deal at costco. Super deal. Nicole: Welcome and congrats on the engagement. Try not to focus on the amount you have to loose, just take it maybe 5 or 10 pounds at a time and concur that first. Glad you are here. Jeanne: Hi Val: Me too :) Hope your day is fantastic. Great job being op. Carol: You are a doll. Thank you so much for my congrats card. It really perked me up. Hugs. Debbie: Thanks. Have a great day out and about. Story: Good luck with the meds adjusting. Hoping they get it perfect this time. Brenda: I concur with everyone on do what's best for you. Johnnie: I love that you put your photo up, love the avatar. It is so important to have a before so we can watch ourselves change. Hugs. Well, I'm at work and wanted to say hi to everyone before I start my day. Blessings all, Annie |
Hi everyone! Wow! What a beautiful, sunny but cold day here in PA! TOM is due tomorrow and I don't understand - but - I'm feeling awfully GOOD today! Kinda weird, hunh?!?!??! (I'm thinking it is the sunshine)!:flow2: Last night my brother and dh and dd took me out to dinner for my birthday (which is next week) to a Japaneese Steakhouse! Urgh! However, I did fairly well and stayed within my points. I had 3 jumbo shrimp from hubby's plate, clear soup and fried rice! Just the experience of the hibachi cooking is enough for me! Not to mention, my brother. My brother is my biological brother - we were seperated at a young age - well I found him via the internet 4 years ago!!!! He lives 2 hours from me. :carrot: Isn't that exciting! lol!
Hi back Annie! Johnnie - love that you added your pic in your avatar! Brenda - yea, what Annie said, I concour too! :D Good Luck and let us know which plan you decide! I do WW, but I'm old and not in a hurry! lol! Xena2005 - I have the sweetest daughter! She is so compasionate and worries about everyone and everything. Her picking "that" dog, didn't surprise me! Thanks for your nice words. Oh, when I move to the country, I'm going to adopt another dog and at least one cat! Hopefully within the next couple of years! Well girls, I'm at work so I gotta run. I'm just so darn addicted! Hi to everyone I missed - |
I got to go out again yesterday. Kind of had to. I loosened a crown New Years Eve and had to go to the dentist to have it recemented. Luckily he is at the mall, so I got to walk around some. I am exhausted today. It seems to take 4 times as much effort to do anything now. I know I'm getting slowly better every day, but I just wish it would be quicker. I also know that I'm lucky to not be recovering from surgery right now. I probably should have had them scope the knee afterwards, but just couldn't bring myself to have it cut on again. It's just been through too many surgeries already.
Right now I'm hungry and nauseous at the same time. I'm convinced I could be hungry while in a coma. |
Hi everyone,
It is pouring buckets x 1000 here. It is the kind of rain that causes landslides. My office is dry, but the street is flooding. My office is on the ground floor but hasn't had water problems at least since I rented it, so I'm hoping it stays dry. My apartment is on a hill, on solid bedrock, and I'm not on the ground floor, so it should be ok there. I managed to have two good OP days so far, and am looking to make this day #3. I have been stuck in perpetual PMS, with TOM being more than a week late, and can't wait for my system to sort itself out. |
Well, I'm a week in and have kept a food log on FitDay with every calorie accounted for. I've lost 4lbs - an OK amount - but am a little disappointed. In the past when I've gotten serious, I've seen see a bigger weight loss in the first 2-3 weeks. I know I'm seeing the cup 1/2 empty in the moment- but overall I really am optimistic.
Thanks to every one of you for posting and sharing - when I feel like eating something I shouldn't, I just go check out what's going on at 3FC. By the time I've finished reading, the urge has passed. Zelma, thanks for your encouragement - when I look at everyone's tickers and/or pics, I'm reminded that I'm not alone in this experience and that others are experiencing success (and have experienced the challenges that go along with achieving that success). I know that when I encounter any extra skin issues, I'll feel that much more empowered to deal with them because I will have conquered even bigger issues in losing the weight. I'm just a worrier by nature. Debbie - your description of "batwings" and your "apron hangin" made me giggle. I remember the first time I read "pendulous abdomen" after my OB/GYN wrote it in reference to me - I was so humiliated. But the way you wrote those descriptions was like you owning your body and having a sense of humor about it. Some of my lingering feelings of humiliation melted away after I read that post. And to anyone who has God's ear this upcoming week, please include my four-month-old niece Gabby in your prayers. She is having open heart surgery in FL on Tuesday morning. I'm going down to take care of my nephews so that my sister and BIL can focus on her. I'll try to check in from the road next week - I think I'll need the extra strength to avoid engaging in some bad eating habits. |
Hello and good afternoon, everyone! Hope you're all having a happy & OP day!
No time for much exercise either today, and this weekend looks like it's going to be extremely busy as well. So, I'll just have to get back on the ball with that on Monday along with getting back on a diet plan. Right now, I'm just eating as healthy as I can. ;) I'll try and pop on a little later, to do a few personals. :) |
Had my weekly weigh in today and have lost 4lbs. this week. After the meeting went to lunch at Subway then went to the mall and walked for a good half hour. Had to sit on a bench before leaving though my hips and knees started to cramp up on me. But it's a start.
Good luck to you all this week!:wave:Colleen |
Congrats on the loss, Colleen! Every little bit of exercise is good exercise! :D
|
Hello Peeps
Very busy around here - nice to see everyone doing well. Congrats on the losses being posted. I'm just a little sore from the first workout last night - in places other than where I expected. Tomorrow is yoga - I hope it will actually be geared to larger, new exercising woman as described. Last night I was actually the only one - which was great. Today was an OK OP day - not super-fantastic - but OK. Lots of food challenges out of the house for the next several weeks - my company does "appreciation dinners" in January rather than Christmas parties. I will be on the road for most of the month on the weekend - not a problem at the party as I don't overeat in front of people usually. It's the hotel/travel time that may be an issue. I'm feeling really strong and healthy so not seeing any obstacles at this point. I went to the doctor this morning for this crazy ear infection - mind you I have been to this doctor for probably 30 years - he's a few years older than I am - my blood pressure was 122/80 - all bloodwork was perfect - I was down several lbs from the last time I saw him in November - he obviously was pleased - asked me what I would look like on paper with everything being good now - with a big grin on his face. He has never been one to nag me about my weight (or is it because I always stayed away) but he is certainly praising me. It's nice to hear. Everyone have a good night. Hugs to you all, keep up the good work. Carol |
BATTLE - Today was day 3 for both of us. I hope it was a good one for you!
I got NO exercise today, didn't even clean stalls. A dear friend that I rarely see asked me over to keep her company during her 16yo's birthday party. I bet you think I ate the pizza & cake, don't you? I went over there right after work, but figuring that the worst possible options would be there, I stopped at the grocery on the way. I got about 4 oz of roast beast at the deli and some veggie sushi and wolfed that down before I arrived. Not one morsel of poison did I touch! I just explained that I'd eaten already. It would have been a really lovely evening if one of her youngest wasn't so irritating, and that child haaaaangs on us every second. She's 11 going on 3, right down to the ceaseless babytalk. I'd visit more often, but we literally can't have 2 minutes without the spoiled kid, and I just can't take her. The other 3 siblings are all sweethearts. Amazing, the difference. On the way home I bought some OP stock for the cupboards. Heavens, isn't the price of food rising?? I suppose I should try & get some sleep. After stalls tomorrow morning I'm going horse shopping with a friend, then there's my fav nephew's wedding tomorrow @ 5. Yeah for the couple! But yeah-NOT-for another chance to see my  stepD. At least it's the last time until Easter. ...Uh-Oh! I still have to go get the gift, too. G'Night for now, everyone! |
Jeanne: Glad you had a nice dinner out.
Catherine: Hope you are not too tuckered out tomorrow. Battle: There really was a small flood in our office building today. We are in the basement offices, temporarily until hopefull late Spring, anywho, it has been pouring rain and that melted the 3 feet of snow, (not really 3 feet ), it poured in our back door and flooded about 5 of my co-worker's offices. So, stay dry. Kimmie: Wooo Hoo, congrats on -4 pounds. You are doing so well. I will be praying for Gabby and your family. Hugs. Colleeen: Yippe to you on -4 pounds also. You guys are doing so well. Kayley: great job on eating healthy. Hugs. Carol: Congrats on a great Dr. Report! Maybe you can pack a really exciting book or something to do with your hands for when you are in the hotel rooms. Val: High 5 to you on eating good before the evil pizza party! Well, today was another hectic day I guess most of them will be for a while. The company I work for is in the process of trying to put together a proposal for the department of health and welfare in Idaho. The contract is up at the end of this month and the state wants to go with one contractor for the entire state instead of 7 or so that it uses right now. It would be huge growth for my company if they get the contract and if they don't it would mean lots of people out of jobs unless the new company wants to hire everyone. Most all of the bosses, and we do have quite a few bosses, are freaking out. They will need to turn the proposal in by the end of the month and we should find out about it by Feb. 14th. I actually think it will take a bit longer than that for the state to make a decision. They have at least 7 companies trying to get the contract if not more companies that are throwing their hats in too. I am planning on going to swim before noon tomorrow. Hopefully I will do some weights, treadmill and bike before hand. Hope everyone has an excellent weekend. Stay op, drink lots of water and move your booties. Blessings, Annie |
Just a quickie to say hi and "kvetch" a bit. (for those who don't know,it means to complain). Thankfully,Doug got the kitchen pipes to unfreeze, since he forgot to leave the faucet on during the night. So then he had to drive Scott to work and on the parkway he didn't see a tire(rim and all) in the middle of the road and wound up hitting it with the front of the minivan. Just thinking there was only cosmetic damage, he used it to drop Sammi later at dance, and it started to run hot and make a weird noise. So when he got home and checked it out, the radiator was pushed in on the corner a bit. So now we are down to 1 vehicle. And if we need a new radiator, I am hoping for not more than 500 bucks because that's the price of our deductable and there is no way I can call the insurance company again!!! We just filled out the paperwork for the other car and are mailing it today!! I am ready to sell all the cars and hire someone to drive me around...it would probably be cheaper!!!!!!!!!!!!
And to make matters worse...I am retaining water even though I am peeing like a racehorse...my rings are tight, and that's a sure sign. ARGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Thanks, I feel a little better now! LOL!!!!) Have a Great OP Day!!!! |
Good Morning Everyone
Well I decided to go back to my old program. I went in yesterday to pay and I signed up for 6 months. I know it works if I stick to it and I am just going to have to DO it. I want to be so much smaller before we go on our cruise next spring. Anyhow, I go in on Monday to weigh in and see for sure how much I really gained. I was at my lowest when I left there. I have actually been exercising which is a plus and am going to to see my nephew play hockey this afternoon and walk while he is playing. There is a walking track around the top level of our rink so it is a perfect opportunity.... with no excuses. |
Good morning ladies! I'm pretty pumped today. Finally got done with my 3 days of **** "cleansing" (nothing but red meat and salad) and got to eat real food today! My breakfast was an egg, a piece of toast, 8 oz. of skim milk, and an apple. YUMMY.. It felt like SOO much food compared to what I've been eating for breakfast. I'm down 8.8 lbs. so far since I started on Wednesday, so hopefully the rest of the week will bring happy results too.
I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. I really want to do it this time and lose the weight I've been carrying for all these years. Keep up the good work, everyone! |
Hi everyone,
Stopping in for a quickie before my super busy day. I got up the courage to weigh, even though TOM still isn't sorted out, and I am rid of my holiday weight plus 1. I'm surprised and thrilled. Have a great day. Sorry Donna about your car situation. I hope the repair isn't expensive. |
Good for you, Brenda for committing yourself for 6 months! :D What is your old program?
Finally, I'm going grocery shopping, so I can get some good OP foods in the apartment! :D |
