..To the December exercise thread! We're trying to make exercise a habit, give ourselves some accountability, and get healthier in the process!
WE ARE GOING TO MAKE OUR GOAL of 200,000 MINUTES!!!!!!!
In this thread, we track the number of MINUTES we exercise for the month
-- whether it's walking or swimming or sweaty housework! Most of us set goals for ourselves (I personally will not exercise much without a goal). If you are a goal-setter, early in the month set your own goal! If you're just getting started, feel free to start with a smaller number of minutes (I did!), maybe just a few hundred. It seems easier for many of us to build on the habit rather than meet a very high goal right away. However, you can also just jump right in without a goal, and you can join us anytime in the month!
And you want to jump in, because one of the main reasons to be here is to track how many minutes we exercise as a group! We are nearing our goal of 200,000 minutes! Here's where we stand!

For now we are counting DOWN to our goal, after we reach the goal, we will count up again! The countdown will follow from where we end in November.
Let's end 2007 on a high note by more moving and shaking beyond our goal!!
I am going to keep my December exercise goal to a do-able 1000 minutes since I have no idea what will happen with my audit at work (happening early!) and the holidays.
my personal goal is the same as i had for november before coming back--1200 min. wouldve done it too but kinda phased out of activity for like a week and a half.
Still working on my 700 mins til 2008... I think I'll do more than that, but right now, I'm going to stay with this... I'll adjust it if I need to later on.
oh, how to set a goal? My knees are KILLING me from apartment cleaning in prep for moving. I'll continue counting 1/3 of the minutes I spend on extra cleaning and packing. That in itself should probably get me to 400, so I'll shoot for 500 again despite the knees.
I have 20 from yesterday that I haven't yet subtracted...plus 10 from today.
Countdown: 2433 - 30 = 2403

I added up my minutes for the week and realized, I'ts December. I didn't make my goal for November by 90 minutes short. I'm okay with that since I started my job and stuff so, I will put 1300 minutes down again for December. Countdown to 200K: 2,403 - 310 = 2,063
