Why Weight Loss Efforts Fail

Only thing that surprises me is this.

Cor blimey, and I thought I was going at a snails pace losing weight  I would totally give up if I only lost 4.6 - 7.3 lbs after a year :yikes:
Thanks for the link Heather, it seems I have some reading to do. Hugs, Ammi :lifter: |
Very Interesting ...
WOW ... very surprised how little these people lost in a year; and on those plans? Gee ... that's less than a pound a month! The research stats always seem to show a lack of overall success, for some unknown reason ... glad we don't let them get us down! The tips are good though! ~ Rosebud ~

I'd hazard a guess they lost more, quickly, and gained some back, with a net loss at one year of those numbers.

Seriously, though I think it's why a lot of us do fail, is that we say "if I'm only going to lose this slowly, heck I'm going to just give up." We do, gain it back, and have to start all over. I've been trying to lose weight for 35 of my 40 years. That's 175 lbs "lost" if I hadn't given up.
